How does the jaguar compare to the classic vibe P bass in terms of sound?
Looking for a recording bass for punk, heavier rock, indie. Something about the Jag sounds muddy but I do not know if it's just TH-cam.

Roll off the tone on the Squire and it'll sound just like the Fender.
I wish I could find the Squire CV Jaguar for $580 (Melbourne). I would snap one up.

How did the Jaguar feel though to play?
The Jaguar feels fantastic. The neck is super slick and slim, the offset body and cutout make it comfortable to hold and being a mid-scale 32”, it’s easier to get around the fretboard
Cheers for the info. I've had Squires before and it seems like something happen to the quality control around about 2000 or 2001 time. I think at the given prices they're worth another shot though. And wouldn't it be something is Squire released a classic vibe music mäster bass
