Before anyone asks me to do this on a 1998, no… Just…no. UNLESS there is a sound test mode on it that goes through every single individual phrase, it’s just not gonna happen. Ever. Too much work. PLUS, 1998s use actual synthesizers for their voice and each hard reset gives the Furby a different pitch while playing at the same speed, so that’s fun! I think it would be more likely for me to do full audio rips of all the other generations of Furbys that have pre-recorded sounds before I do the first ones. I really only do these videos if the toy I’m ripping from has a cool song in it, relatively few sounds, or (be prepared to lose your minds from surprise on this) a *SOUND TEST* mode which would make the whole ripping process MUCH easier, less work intensive from trying to get every single sound effect through regular play, and would reduce the risk of damaging the item while ripping *(cough cough* iZ *cough cough).*

That’s crazy. Over an hour. Lol. It was interesting to hear all of the sounds. I wonder if the 2005s or any of the fakes have sound tests. My friend just found a koby interactive bear, so we’re trying to find more info on it. Apparently it had a thing in the switch so that after it was switched out of try me mode, you couldn’t switch it back. My theory is that if it has a test mode, it probably has something to do with the try me mode.
Interesting. I wonder if there’s a tab that goes in a slot that activates the try me mode or if it’s like Joebot and doesn’t have any. Fun fact about Joebot though, there is actually a contact in the middle of the board that says “reset.” I haven’t messed with it, but I bet it’s activated similar to how the 2012s, Booms, Furbaccas, and Connects do. Maybe that’s where the try me mode is activated. I know Zadak Leader 635 tried experimenting with it, but resulted with little to no success. I do own a Joebot myself, but I am not willing to experiment on it yet. Maybe someday, but not now.
The switch for koby is a 3 position switch, but there’s a plastic thing in it so that once it is switched out of try me for the first time, the switch is physically blocked from going back to try me. I have only ever seen one other thing with a switch like that. I hope someone finds joebot’s try me mode. It could be a combination of buttons with the power switch, similar to how you would access a test mode. I don’t even know if joebot or any wowwee robots besides robosapien have test modes.
