The actress playing Toralei was the only one (besides the one that plays Frankie) that truly stepped into her role this movie. It was a little over the top sure, but that’s how monster high characters are supposed to be. I also just think she actually looks like the character as well.

And this was the true introduction to it. So their personalities weren't exactly the same. Especially with their new backstories. Like Clawdeen being half human/werewolf. And we are so use to generation 1...that is the what we expect of them.

Wondering if Deuce saying “Classic Toralei..” being that her last name is Stripe, was a loose reference to Bluey, since the dad in the show (Bandit) has said “Classic Stripe 😏..” in reference to his brother (though that’s more in a fond way).

Sadly no, instead they made a new "love interest" for Draculaura, his name is Ellis. But these movies aren't canon, it's like a separate universe. Clawdeen doesn't even have siblings in this one and for some reason she's in a relationship with Deuce. Totally random. The new animated series is canon though and Clawd exists there, as well as Howleen

The CGI budget should've gotten better from the last film. Toralei's leaping reminds me of how terrible Clawdeen was with her parkour in the beginning of the first film.
