I feel like one of the reasons the Waluigi arc is so good is because it actually felt like smg4. It was based on a meme and didn't take itself too seriously.
If I have to be honest, I never disliked any of the arcs. I always found them to be interesting, but I guess it's because SMG4's vids are one of the things that can entertain me more and maybe even personal bias
Honestly, the rapper Bob arc have a special place in my heart. It didn't need a great plot or great consequences, it was good being the simple way it is.
I personally would love an arc where the main villain wins and the continuation arc is called the redemption arc. Another idea for an arc is where Mario could be having a reoccurring dream about a girl that needs help. A meme arc would be nice with the only character smg4 trying to stop the villain and through the rap the cast appears one by one
Nice but theres only 1 problem but first let me explain you the smg4 cycle first is the new start next is the adventure next is the start of the arc and the last is the war of fat italians and it repeats Example: New start----> adventure----> start of the arc----> war of fat italians----> repeats It is pretty much a perfect cycle but heres the problem if you change the story line of the fat italians ending that makes the villan win the new start and the adventure will be just turn to the start of the arc.i mean who wants to see smg4 and the other cast just finding solutions or doing traning to defeat the main villian FOR A YEAR and it makes the seriousness more scenes than the comedy. Long story short:it destroys the commedy of smg4 But i agree that watching hero being on the top in like 6 years is not fun.
I'm really hoping for a classic vs modern arc to happen, of course it's probably never gonna happen but I'd love seeing the two eras of SMG4 go against eachother and would especially love seeing Classic!SMG3 and Modern!SMG3 interact cuz they're so different lol Awesome video

The Waluigi Arc was literally a "Big Bang Explosion" exceeding my expectations from SMG4 from Retarded Funny to Down Right Depression Feels. But the Anime Arc to me are the greatest TH-cam Videos I've seen in my lifetime since I was on this website back in 2005. Desti Death and Meggy becoming human was a Stats Quo change for SMG4 plus I still getting PTSD moments from that Arc because it was that Godlike to remember. The other Arc's are great but these two will always impact my life forever thanks to Luke and Kevin brilliant ideas that actually worked!
Honestly the Genesis arc wasn’t bad. I just hate it because of the stupid decision to kill off Axol the exact moment him and Melony get a ton of development….
I kinda would love to see an arc where SMG4 learns of what his world really is and his virtual avatar meets the real life version of SMG4 (aka Luke). Basically a “sequel” or tribute to Mario in real life that SMG4 did a long time ago
I think my biggest issue with the Genesis Arc even though I liked many parts of it was Axol's death. It just felt pointless and forced to an extent, like it was done just for Melony to get more development later on because Zero survived regardless. And a really easy way to make it worth more would've been to make Axol be the one who pushed Mario to safety to prevent Zero from catching him with his USB in "The Day He Arrived". SMG4 was the one who helped Mario, while Axol just happened to be standing in the way of the USB and payed for it. SMG4 even made an episode with the point of Axol fixing the Inkweaver just to have an excuse to throw him in the very next episode to be sacrificed. The Inkweaver was also fused with Eldritch Ax0l for his WOTFI design, and it wasn't really used in any meaningful way. Idk, the death still carried weight for me because I liked Axol, but I still think the buildup and payoff could've been better
Wait I actually didn't know that eldritch axol had inkweaver in his design. I thought that that he left it in his room and perhaps melony could become the next inkweaver master
My biggest problem with Axol’s death (and other death in general) is the fact we saw many ways to reverse death in the series : the 1-up mushrooms, the 7 dragon balls (they exist in the series, I don’t remember the episod but I know they exist) or the finale of Sunset Paradise (which is canon). Axol’ s death is a forced tragedy.
My biggest issue with his death is that he was a MAIN CHARACTER. Sure, Desti was a side character and Greg was played off as a joke, fine, whatever. But all Axol did was paint a target on the backs of everyone that wasn't SMG4, a Nintendo character, or (debatably) Meggy. "Oh BuT iT aDdS wEiGhT aNd DrAmA!" I hear some of you cry. No. It doesn't make me more invested because I fear for the characters' safety, it makes me less invested because why should I care for any of these characters, knowing the writers could just throw them away on a whim? The fact that his heroic sacrifice is rendered completely pointless due to the Revelations Arc is just salted lemon juice on the wound.

The anime arc is actually my favorite arc because it’s actually one continuous adventure and it was enjoyable the whole way through. Plus it introduced my boy Axol (man I miss him so much…)

My ranking of the arcs: 1. The Waluigi Arc | Yep, This is still the best arc, And it will more than likely always be the best arc. Mainly due in part to a good majority of the episodes actually being fantastic on their own, Without needed context of the arc. With all of the others you'd need to watch them from beginning to end, Whereas you can pick and choose what episode to watch from the Waluigi Arc and not lose out on a ton of context. Mario SAW and WOTFI 2018 alone are enough to make this arc a masterpiece. 2. The Anime Arc | I consider this arc the proto-Genesis arc in a lot of ways, They're both very lengthy, They both feature intense stakes, But while Genesis comes across as bloated and filler heavy, The Anime Arc manages to combine two separate storylines and merge them into one grand adventure that is entertaining from the beginning all the way to the end. The emotional moments are handled very well and I don't think that final scene with Meggy and her friends saluting will ever be topped. 3. The Rapper Bob Arc | These top three are leagues ahead of the rest, While this arc doesn't really have the presence of a looming threat, It does however have some solid comedy and introspective character dynamics that make it worth watching. The cast, Although large, Is utilized incredibly well and none of them get more screen time than they should. It may not be as good as the first one, But it's still a really solid arc and I wished we got more arcs that went for this sort of structure. 4. The Lawsuit Arc | Listen, I get it. This arc does have forced emotional scenes that come from out of nowhere, This arc does rehash certain aspects from the TH-cam Arc, And it does retcon lore that was established during the cosmology saga. But having that said, I find the first three episodes to be really solid, And I much prefer the focus on a smaller cast of characters instead of trying to force in all of these others that have no purpose in the story. It's quick and straight to the point, When it comes to the emotional core it falls flat, But when it comes to telling an entertaining story it's pretty solid. Not to mention the return of Inkling Meggy was great even if it was just for one episode. 5. The Revelations Arc | While Revelations (The movie) is one of the best videos that SMG4 has ever put out, The arc itself is a bunch of fluff that doesn't start getting interesting until it's practically over, That isn't to say that the other episodes are bad, Just that they aren't on the same level of quality as the first three. The only reason it's above the previous two is because of the movie being better than everything in those arcs. 6. The Genesis Arc | This one has an interesting concept, But it has way too much filler and drags on for a lot longer than it should, I will give it credit for providing a better origin story for SMG4 and SMG3 than whatever the TH-cam arc attempted, And I will give it credit for handling the emotional scenes better than the previous arcs did, But its length gets old fast and there's a number of episodes that do nothing for me. WOTFI 2021 and 10 Year Anniversary are good, But very much overrated. 7. The TH-cam Arc | This one is honestly disappointing with how mediocre it turned out, You'd think that having an arc centered around SMG3 would be a fantastic idea, But they don't really do much with it other than retcon SMG3's preestablished origins (The retcon later gets retconned itself during the Genesis Arc) and introduce a ton of mediocre antagonists that have no real purpose outside of being direct copies of the main cast. Sure, Deleted was a fantastic episode, But that's the only thing worth watching from this one. If you want good episodes starring SMG3 as the main villain, SMG3's plan to destroy SMG4 because he felt like it, SMG4 VS SMG3, the monster, and SMG3's Gauntlet of Gloom are far better alternatives.
I honesty like the light hearted and comedic arcs like the TH-cam and walugi because they feel more like smg4. serious arcs can work like the anime arc.
The TH-cam Arc is one of my favorites not because it was good, but because it was the first arc I saw of SMG4s. I do get why people don't like it though.

Next arc I want to see a more evil antagonist, After this Arc it kinda felt depressing on how it ended. The arc didn't really have a good suspension to the climax and the finale, It ending with a WOTFI didn't help with that at all. Getting a standalone arc with a good suspension with an evil antagonist feels like it would make the arc more impactful. It's a good idea considering what you said and how the Lawsuit Arc had really no point to exist. It just seems like it was an arc that needed to exist for the sake of there being an Arc and how SMG4 was scared of Nintendo so they introduced character re-designs so Nintendo stays off them, This was especially made obvious with Bob and Boopkins. They got redesigned pretty much out of no where which makes whatever suspension that existed for the redesigns of SMG4 and SMG3 pointless.
For the next arc, I feel like that an arc that would be a alien invasion sort of thing but instead of aliens it’s literally angry fans from “The Great Beyond” who claim that they are trying to return things to the way they were and are very ignorant. This would force the character to have to use force on them to beat them into submission and find out who is leading this army of angry fans.
A future arc idea that would work good with a WOTFI ending could be a civil war type arc where the characters are pitted against each other. To do this right they would have to make sure that there is no “good” or “bad” side and that fans would understand both sides so that the ending would remain unpredictable. Obviously the leaders for both sides would be Mario vs SMG4 and this would open up development for the rest of the cast. Which side would they pick, would they change their mind after more information has been revealed, would they have to choose between two friends who are on opposite sides or would they have to choose between staying with their friends or doing what they believe is right. Obviously they would all have to become friends again so the stakes can’t be too high but there should still be some permanent change to the series so that the fans would be genuinely invested. This is at least my idea of how they could make a new type of arc that would not only be able to develop many of the characters but also perfectly end with a WOTFI.
@@hardcorevictor2552 That is a fair and reasonable argument on why as content creators SMG4 is unlikely to make such a thing. Although I will stand by the opinion that it would be interesting to watch and would open up many possibilities for character development and interactions that otherwise would be unlikely to happen.
I'm still wondering why we don't have a Bowser arc yet. He's only, like the main antagonist of, ya know, almost every Mario game. He just feels like that one side character who deserves the spotlight but never gets it (not even by force). He's just there, never really contributing anything major to most arcs, at best showing up as either a victim or as a less prominent member of the main cast, or at worst not even showing up at all.
Ok a couple of personal thoughts about things. TH-cam arc: I did enjoy the overall concept and it was interesting to see it play out. The rushed aspect was kinda the point of the anti SMG4 crew if you ask me. SMG3 just hired them all in a day and to me it made sense. He didn't take time to build a relationship with any of them. It was also gave SMG3 more of a backstory on why he wanted to be a villain. The WOFI song was great though to me, loved it. Lawsuit arc: Honestly it is the most "meta arc" to me. While I see your point I think that it made sense that it would be Nintendo sueing him for copyright. While I don't like how it was structured entirely, I do like the stakes it had and it did give some weight to the college section of the revelation arc with meggy having lawyer knowledge. Also while it did feel rushed, (which makes sense to me considering how Nintendo acts about copyright in general) it had high stakes and stressed on how little time the SMG4 crew had to find a solution. Also it was timed to make Splatoon 3 as an episode. Saw that coming once I knew it existed.

Behind the Waluigi Arc, the Genesis Arc is probably my second favorite arc, because it's the one that puts the most focus on worldbuilding, one of Modern SMG4's biggest strengths in my opinion. Though it's held back by a certain plotline... The Revelations Arc is in my opinion the worst SMG4 arc, because of its lack of worldbuilding until the movie, and putting the focus on (human) Melony, who is in my opinion possibly the WORST written character I've ever seen. There is nothing to like about this character, her personality is a complete 180 from her melon form, she has the literal mindset of a five year old (so she's basically a plot device like most baby characters are), but then they suddenly decide they want to give her character development?? And a ROMANCE arc?? With a GROWN ASS MAN?? EVEN THOUGH SHE'S FIVE???? Axol, despite knowing and stating directly to his friends that Melony is mentally a toddler, tried to form a romantic relationship with her anyways. This is a literal case of GROOMING, and I can't believe the writing staff let this pass. But aside from that, there's literally nothing else to this character. Her design is a generic anime teen with no unique facial features like Meggy or Saiko have, and regarding her characterization, they're trying to have and eat their cake at the same time by making her one-note and unchanging to avoid the backlash human Meggy got, while still attempting to force character development into her, resulting in a situation that not only makes for a terrible character by itself, but makes other characters around her even worse due to overlooked implications. I know this is a discussion about the Revelations Arc, but that's all most of this arc has, just trying to force trauma into a baby.
Well I thought that The TH-cam Arc was really good because I just loved the concept and plus, it does have the highest rated video on the entire channel… I would put it in A tier.
Honestly The Anime Arc was my least favorite of the ones I've seen, mainly because a lot of the emotional moments in it's 2nd half just felt kinda melodramatic to me, and Francis himself was kind of a joke, even with all the power he was given and how seriously the show tried to take him. Even Desti's death kinda fell flat for me in that, mainly because it happened in the same video where Mario face planted onto a detonating bomb, was blown through a big fence and got stabbed a bunch as a result, and was totally fine after. I laughed at that part, but seeing Desti go down after taking just one stab to the chest later just made it feel like a plot armor type of deal. The 1st half of it was pretty solid to me though
5:05 I think the point of the Anti-Cast *_was_* that they’re clones. They were supposed to be SMG3’s version of the regular cast. But I will agree that they need more of personality.

With Waluigi Arc it’s still the best one simply because it wasn’t even suppose to be an arc. Nowadays you think, “This is gonna be another arc” like it was fine with bob but then the anime arc, genesis, revelations, and lawsuit didn’t quite captured that uniqueness of the Waluigi one. Instead most of the new ones follow a trend, and end the same. The whole thing with everyone in a great pain or in the worst situation isn’t there, because they’re gonna play a joke later on and it just doesn’t work.

I would love an arc where Mario (and Luigi hopefully) gets a split side trying to make him/them dislike the SMG4 cast. Throughout the arc, the split personality is slowly able to shift Mario & Luigi away from their friends and pit the bros against them.
I personally would have been okay with the SMG redesign if it was just smg4 seeing how smg1 and 2 kind of established that they don't have to completely look like they're Avatar one of them can look different from the avatar but seeing how it's both SMG 4 and 3 it makes it more frustrating
I didnt like smg4 design at first but now that ive seen how he works in an episode it grew a LOT more into me i liked smg3 design though bob is bob bopkins grew a little bit more to me but i wished he had sone jubjub charateristics though
For most people the law suit arc kinda makes the whole cosmology saga (TH-cam arc - Revelation arc) lore kinda irrelevant now. 1. the Avatar and their respective smgs should look alike ( I saw some people debating if SMG1 can be a reason to consider as an excuse for Luke to redesign smg4 n smg3) 2. The whole thing that smg4 n Luke r separate entities. Yet the whole world of SMG4 series got affected by the whole copyright infringement got by Luke from Nintendo n non Nintendo characters started to die (well it can be argue that it can be tied to what happened to the SMG4 gang in the TH-cam arc when smg3 changes everyone's history through all the videos where they first introduce) overall most people dump the law suit arc to be the worst arc in the series for disrupting the recent lores of the show
Smg1 was meant to look like Spudnick but he was « squished in an accident ». Despite 1 who has an alibi, all other SMGs in the series look like their avatars.
Personally I would do Waluigi arc: S. First arc so the bad is mostly fine since it was the first go around Rapper Bob: A. It had the smallest stakes with a bunch of fun going on. Anime Arc: A. It does everything great just the Waluigi arc did better TH-cam arc: A. Idk man it’s just good in my opinion and I love it a lot Greg’s death (that I think is a joke since Mario was the only one who took it seriously) was funny but also kinda sad in a strange way. Genesis/revelations: B. Both were fine arcs and since they had such a connected story I put them together Lawsuit arc: C. I don’t mind the contradiction to the past arcs since it’s SMG4 I’m not expect a good timeline. Breaking Luigi was a great video very funny and I never even watched breaking bad. I find this was very funny and the meta part of it always was great. My favorite part was the lack of Melon gurl. I love her but we got more then enough of her the last two times around. I wish SMG3 played a bigger part in the story rather then a couple of jokes and a single verse in the rap. But it also had a lot of problems and I can’t say it was as good as the other arcs. Like Lawyer King wasn’t that great of a threat. I’m not critical of SMG4 at all really since it’s funny stupid Mario things why should I care how good the arc about a lawsuit is?
Honestly I would put the Genesis arc lower, because the more you think about it the more it shows its flaws. And I am not talking about Axol's death and his meaningless sacrifice,, no I mean the fact the for me, It feels rushed and force at the same time. Like the "romance" between Axol and Melony, they have rarely any proper interaction, just enough to make the death more dramatic. Smg1 and 2 are just basically there to give exposition role instead of Smg4. The gay tension between Smg3 and 4, Out of nowhere and adding absolutely nothing other than shipping fuel. And let's not go through "character development" and "lore" because they become redundant in the next arc (or even in the next episode).
TH-cam arc is a s tier to me the best wotfi the internet graveyard plot the anti cast is sick and the anti cast was supposed to be literally clones that can’t be the smg4 cast *AND GREG*

Genesis Arc Purpose: SMG0, together with Niles, possesed Axol and Ax0l fought their own friends, having them to create an arc. ("Why are you gay" -Mario) 3. TH-cam Arc Purpose: SMG4 stopped SMG3 from taking away his channel, and also turned Meggy's inkling voice into a human voice. 2. Lawsuit Arc Purpose: NINTENDO wanted to copyright SMG4 for using their Mario, Bob, Luigi and more. 1. Revelations Arc Purpose: Niles, a traitor, teamed up with SMG0 after taking and releasing Melony's body. Melony then learnt how to control her deity powers.
Yes, I’m sad too that desti died too, but desti dying was a lead up to the meggy’s destiny movie, because meggy’s was motivated to win the, because of desti’s death
I really agree thefact that the lawsuit arc is the worst arc of all so far. However, I think it is kinda unfair to judge and complain about smg4's plot because it is really hard to come up with something new every week. Although I don't like the lawsuit arc, the fact that smg4 puts a lot of hard work is definitely noticeable

Nice but theres only 1 problem but first let me explain you the smg4 cycle first is the new start next is the adventure next is the start of the arc and the last is the war of fat italians and it repeats

New start----> adventure----> start of the arc----> war of fat italians----> repeats
It is pretty much a perfect cycle but heres the problem if you change the story line of the fat italians ending that makes the villan win the new start and the adventure will be just turn to the start of the arc.i mean who wants to see smg4 and the other cast just finding solutions or doing traning to defeat the main villian FOR A YEAR and it makes the seriousness more scenes than the comedy.

I'm really hoping for a classic vs modern arc to happen, of course it's probably never gonna happen but I'd love seeing the two eras of SMG4 go against eachother and would especially love seeing Classic!SMG3 and Modern!SMG3 interact cuz they're so different lol

The Waluigi Arc was literally a "Big Bang Explosion" exceeding my expectations from SMG4 from Retarded Funny to Down Right Depression Feels. But the Anime Arc to me are the greatest TH-cam Videos I've seen in my lifetime since I was on this website back in 2005. Desti Death and Meggy becoming human was a Stats Quo change for SMG4 plus I still getting PTSD moments from that Arc because it was that Godlike to remember. The other Arc's are great but these two will always impact my life forever thanks to Luke and Kevin brilliant ideas that actually worked!

I kinda would love to see an arc where SMG4 learns of what his world really is and his virtual avatar meets the real life version of SMG4 (aka Luke). Basically a “sequel” or tribute to Mario in real life that SMG4 did a long time ago

I think my biggest issue with the Genesis Arc even though I liked many parts of it was Axol's death. It just felt pointless and forced to an extent, like it was done just for Melony to get more development later on because Zero survived regardless. And a really easy way to make it worth more would've been to make Axol be the one who pushed Mario to safety to prevent Zero from catching him with his USB in "The Day He Arrived". SMG4 was the one who helped Mario, while Axol just happened to be standing in the way of the USB and payed for it. SMG4 even made an episode with the point of Axol fixing the Inkweaver just to have an excuse to throw him in the very next episode to be sacrificed. The Inkweaver was also fused with Eldritch Ax0l for his WOTFI design, and it wasn't really used in any meaningful way. Idk, the death still carried weight for me because I liked Axol, but I still think the buildup and payoff could've been better

My biggest problem with Axol’s death (and other death in general) is the fact we saw many ways to reverse death in the series : the 1-up mushrooms, the 7 dragon balls (they exist in the series, I don’t remember the episod but I know they exist) or the finale of Sunset Paradise (which is canon). Axol’ s death is a forced tragedy.
My biggest issue with his death is that he was a MAIN CHARACTER. Sure, Desti was a side character and Greg was played off as a joke, fine, whatever. But all Axol did was paint a target on the backs of everyone that wasn't SMG4, a Nintendo character, or (debatably) Meggy. "Oh BuT iT aDdS wEiGhT aNd DrAmA!" I hear some of you cry. No. It doesn't make me more invested because I fear for the characters' safety, it makes me less invested because why should I care for any of these characters, knowing the writers could just throw them away on a whim? The fact that his heroic sacrifice is rendered completely pointless due to the Revelations Arc is just salted lemon juice on the wound.

The anime arc is actually my favorite arc because it’s actually one continuous adventure and it was enjoyable the whole way through. Plus it introduced my boy Axol (man I miss him so much…)

My ranking of the arcs:
1. The Waluigi Arc | Yep, This is still the best arc, And it will more than likely always be the best arc. Mainly due in part to a good majority of the episodes actually being fantastic on their own, Without needed context of the arc. With all of the others you'd need to watch them from beginning to end, Whereas you can pick and choose what episode to watch from the Waluigi Arc and not lose out on a ton of context. Mario SAW and WOTFI 2018 alone are enough to make this arc a masterpiece.
2. The Anime Arc | I consider this arc the proto-Genesis arc in a lot of ways, They're both very lengthy, They both feature intense stakes, But while Genesis comes across as bloated and filler heavy, The Anime Arc manages to combine two separate storylines and merge them into one grand adventure that is entertaining from the beginning all the way to the end. The emotional moments are handled very well and I don't think that final scene with Meggy and her friends saluting will ever be topped.
3. The Rapper Bob Arc | These top three are leagues ahead of the rest, While this arc doesn't really have the presence of a looming threat, It does however have some solid comedy and introspective character dynamics that make it worth watching. The cast, Although large, Is utilized incredibly well and none of them get more screen time than they should. It may not be as good as the first one, But it's still a really solid arc and I wished we got more arcs that went for this sort of structure.
4. The Lawsuit Arc | Listen, I get it. This arc does have forced emotional scenes that come from out of nowhere, This arc does rehash certain aspects from the TH-cam Arc, And it does retcon lore that was established during the cosmology saga. But having that said, I find the first three episodes to be really solid, And I much prefer the focus on a smaller cast of characters instead of trying to force in all of these others that have no purpose in the story. It's quick and straight to the point, When it comes to the emotional core it falls flat, But when it comes to telling an entertaining story it's pretty solid. Not to mention the return of Inkling Meggy was great even if it was just for one episode.
5. The Revelations Arc | While Revelations (The movie) is one of the best videos that SMG4 has ever put out, The arc itself is a bunch of fluff that doesn't start getting interesting until it's practically over, That isn't to say that the other episodes are bad, Just that they aren't on the same level of quality as the first three. The only reason it's above the previous two is because of the movie being better than everything in those arcs.
6. The Genesis Arc | This one has an interesting concept, But it has way too much filler and drags on for a lot longer than it should, I will give it credit for providing a better origin story for SMG4 and SMG3 than whatever the TH-cam arc attempted, And I will give it credit for handling the emotional scenes better than the previous arcs did, But its length gets old fast and there's a number of episodes that do nothing for me. WOTFI 2021 and 10 Year Anniversary are good, But very much overrated.
7. The TH-cam Arc | This one is honestly disappointing with how mediocre it turned out, You'd think that having an arc centered around SMG3 would be a fantastic idea, But they don't really do much with it other than retcon SMG3's preestablished origins (The retcon later gets retconned itself during the Genesis Arc) and introduce a ton of mediocre antagonists that have no real purpose outside of being direct copies of the main cast. Sure, Deleted was a fantastic episode, But that's the only thing worth watching from this one. If you want good episodes starring SMG3 as the main villain, SMG3's plan to destroy SMG4 because he felt like it, SMG4 VS SMG3, the monster, and SMG3's Gauntlet of Gloom are far better alternatives.
I honesty like the light hearted and comedic arcs like the TH-cam and walugi because they feel more like smg4. serious arcs can work like the anime arc.
The TH-cam Arc is one of my favorites not because it was good, but because it was the first arc I saw of SMG4s. I do get why people don't like it though.

I say the Waluigi arc was the last truly great content we got from Smg4.
It was around after that point were I dropped off from the series.
Next arc I want to see a more evil antagonist, After this Arc it kinda felt depressing on how it ended. The arc didn't really have a good suspension to the climax and the finale, It ending with a WOTFI didn't help with that at all. Getting a standalone arc with a good suspension with an evil antagonist feels like it would make the arc more impactful. It's a good idea considering what you said and how the Lawsuit Arc had really no point to exist. It just seems like it was an arc that needed to exist for the sake of there being an Arc and how SMG4 was scared of Nintendo so they introduced character re-designs so Nintendo stays off them, This was especially made obvious with Bob and Boopkins. They got redesigned pretty much out of no where which makes whatever suspension that existed for the redesigns of SMG4 and SMG3 pointless.

For the next arc, I feel like that an arc that would be a alien invasion sort of thing but instead of aliens it’s literally angry fans from “The Great Beyond” who claim that they are trying to return things to the way they were and are very ignorant. This would force the character to have to use force on them to beat them into submission and find out who is leading this army of angry fans.

A future arc idea that would work good with a WOTFI ending could be a civil war type arc where the characters are pitted against each other. To do this right they would have to make sure that there is no “good” or “bad” side and that fans would understand both sides so that the ending would remain unpredictable. Obviously the leaders for both sides would be Mario vs SMG4 and this would open up development for the rest of the cast. Which side would they pick, would they change their mind after more information has been revealed, would they have to choose between two friends who are on opposite sides or would they have to choose between staying with their friends or doing what they believe is right. Obviously they would all have to become friends again so the stakes can’t be too high but there should still be some permanent change to the series so that the fans would be genuinely invested. This is at least my idea of how they could make a new type of arc that would not only be able to develop many of the characters but also perfectly end with a WOTFI.
I don’t think it’s a good idea, it would split the fanbase and create some kind of civil war among the fans.

Although I will stand by the opinion that it would be interesting to watch and would open up many possibilities for character development and interactions that otherwise would be unlikely to happen.

I'm still wondering why we don't have a Bowser arc yet. He's only, like the main antagonist of, ya know, almost every Mario game. He just feels like that one side character who deserves the spotlight but never gets it (not even by force). He's just there, never really contributing anything major to most arcs, at best showing up as either a victim or as a less prominent member of the main cast, or at worst not even showing up at all.

Ok a couple of personal thoughts about things.
TH-cam arc: I did enjoy the overall concept and it was interesting to see it play out. The rushed aspect was kinda the point of the anti SMG4 crew if you ask me. SMG3 just hired them all in a day and to me it made sense. He didn't take time to build a relationship with any of them. It was also gave SMG3 more of a backstory on why he wanted to be a villain. The WOFI song was great though to me, loved it.
Lawsuit arc: Honestly it is the most "meta arc" to me. While I see your point I think that it made sense that it would be Nintendo sueing him for copyright. While I don't like how it was structured entirely, I do like the stakes it had and it did give some weight to the college section of the revelation arc with meggy having lawyer knowledge. Also while it did feel rushed, (which makes sense to me considering how Nintendo acts about copyright in general) it had high stakes and stressed on how little time the SMG4 crew had to find a solution. Also it was timed to make Splatoon 3 as an episode. Saw that coming once I knew it existed.
The lawyer part actually comes from Mario University, not the Revelations arc; in that one she is studying to become a sports teacher

Behind the Waluigi Arc, the Genesis Arc is probably my second favorite arc, because it's the one that puts the most focus on worldbuilding, one of Modern SMG4's biggest strengths in my opinion. Though it's held back by a certain plotline...
The Revelations Arc is in my opinion the worst SMG4 arc, because of its lack of worldbuilding until the movie, and putting the focus on (human) Melony, who is in my opinion possibly the WORST written character I've ever seen. There is nothing to like about this character, her personality is a complete 180 from her melon form, she has the literal mindset of a five year old (so she's basically a plot device like most baby characters are), but then they suddenly decide they want to give her character development?? And a ROMANCE arc?? With a GROWN ASS MAN?? EVEN THOUGH SHE'S FIVE???? Axol, despite knowing and stating directly to his friends that Melony is mentally a toddler, tried to form a romantic relationship with her anyways. This is a literal case of GROOMING, and I can't believe the writing staff let this pass. But aside from that, there's literally nothing else to this character. Her design is a generic anime teen with no unique facial features like Meggy or Saiko have, and regarding her characterization, they're trying to have and eat their cake at the same time by making her one-note and unchanging to avoid the backlash human Meggy got, while still attempting to force character development into her, resulting in a situation that not only makes for a terrible character by itself, but makes other characters around her even worse due to overlooked implications. I know this is a discussion about the Revelations Arc, but that's all most of this arc has, just trying to force trauma into a baby.

Honestly The Anime Arc was my least favorite of the ones I've seen, mainly because a lot of the emotional moments in it's 2nd half just felt kinda melodramatic to me, and Francis himself was kind of a joke, even with all the power he was given and how seriously the show tried to take him. Even Desti's death kinda fell flat for me in that, mainly because it happened in the same video where Mario face planted onto a detonating bomb, was blown through a big fence and got stabbed a bunch as a result, and was totally fine after. I laughed at that part, but seeing Desti go down after taking just one stab to the chest later just made it feel like a plot armor type of deal. The 1st half of it was pretty solid to me though
5:05 I think the point of the Anti-Cast *_was_* that they’re clones. They were supposed to be SMG3’s version of the regular cast. But I will agree that they need more of personality.

With Waluigi Arc it’s still the best one simply because it wasn’t even suppose to be an arc. Nowadays you think, “This is gonna be another arc” like it was fine with bob but then the anime arc, genesis, revelations, and lawsuit didn’t quite captured that uniqueness of the Waluigi one. Instead most of the new ones follow a trend, and end the same. The whole thing with everyone in a great pain or in the worst situation isn’t there, because they’re gonna play a joke later on and it just doesn’t work.

I would love an arc where Mario (and Luigi hopefully) gets a split side trying to make him/them dislike the SMG4 cast. Throughout the arc, the split personality is slowly able to shift Mario & Luigi away from their friends and pit the bros against them.
I personally would have been okay with the SMG redesign if it was just smg4 seeing how smg1 and 2 kind of established that they don't have to completely look like they're Avatar one of them can look different from the avatar but seeing how it's both SMG 4 and 3 it makes it more frustrating
I didnt like smg4 design at first but now that ive seen how he works in an episode it grew a LOT more into me i liked smg3 design though bob is bob bopkins grew a little bit more to me but i wished he had sone jubjub charateristics though

This is going to sound super controversial but I actually like the lawsuit arc because I like filler content.
For most people the law suit arc kinda makes the whole cosmology saga (TH-cam arc - Revelation arc) lore kinda irrelevant now.
1. the Avatar and their respective smgs should look alike ( I saw some people debating if SMG1 can be a reason to consider as an excuse for Luke to redesign smg4 n smg3)
2. The whole thing that smg4 n Luke r separate entities. Yet the whole world of SMG4 series got affected by the whole copyright infringement got by Luke from Nintendo n non Nintendo characters started to die (well it can be argue that it can be tied to what happened to the SMG4 gang in the TH-cam arc when smg3 changes everyone's history through all the videos where they first introduce) overall most people dump the law suit arc to be the worst arc in the series for disrupting the recent lores of the show
Smg1 was meant to look like Spudnick but he was « squished in an accident ». Despite 1 who has an alibi, all other SMGs in the series look like their avatars.
Personally I would do
Waluigi arc: S. First arc so the bad is mostly fine since it was the first go around
Rapper Bob: A. It had the smallest stakes with a bunch of fun going on.
Anime Arc: A. It does everything great just the Waluigi arc did better
TH-cam arc: A. Idk man it’s just good in my opinion and I love it a lot Greg’s death (that I think is a joke since Mario was the only one who took it seriously) was funny but also kinda sad in a strange way.
Genesis/revelations: B. Both were fine arcs and since they had such a connected story I put them together
Lawsuit arc: C. I don’t mind the contradiction to the past arcs since it’s SMG4 I’m not expect a good timeline. Breaking Luigi was a great video very funny and I never even watched breaking bad. I find this was very funny and the meta part of it always was great. My favorite part was the lack of Melon gurl. I love her but we got more then enough of her the last two times around. I wish SMG3 played a bigger part in the story rather then a couple of jokes and a single verse in the rap. But it also had a lot of problems and I can’t say it was as good as the other arcs. Like Lawyer King wasn’t that great of a threat. I’m not critical of SMG4 at all really since it’s funny stupid Mario things why should I care how good the arc about a lawsuit is?
Honestly I would put the Genesis arc lower, because the more you think about it the more it shows its flaws. And I am not talking about Axol's death and his meaningless sacrifice,, no I mean the fact the for me, It feels rushed and force at the same time. Like the "romance" between Axol and Melony, they have rarely any proper interaction, just enough to make the death more dramatic. Smg1 and 2 are just basically there to give exposition role instead of Smg4. The gay tension between Smg3 and 4, Out of nowhere and adding absolutely nothing other than shipping fuel. And let's not go through "character development" and "lore" because they become redundant in the next arc (or even in the next episode).
TH-cam arc is a s tier to me the best wotfi the internet graveyard plot the anti cast is sick and the anti cast was supposed to be literally clones that can’t be the smg4 cast *AND GREG*

I actually like the anime arc because of Desti being mysterious frenemy it makes you wonder what’s her backstory or origins of how she became that way her death made me wanna cry but I like the concept of it and Desti character and the final battle and Meggy human form even though i didn’t want her to be tortured like that for her ink I think Francis deserve to die after he tortured Meggy an axel even though we don’t see him getting tortured that much and I like axol meaniful quote at the end requiescat in pace axol and Desti

Purpose: Desti's team & Meggy's team fight, and Francis had a plan of capturing Inklings to transform them into human.

Purpose: i seriously dont know.
4. Genesis Arc
Purpose: SMG0, together with Niles, possesed Axol and Ax0l fought their own friends, having them to create an arc. ("Why are you gay" -Mario)
3. TH-cam Arc
Purpose: SMG4 stopped SMG3 from taking away his channel, and also turned Meggy's inkling voice into a human voice.
2. Lawsuit Arc
Purpose: NINTENDO wanted to copyright SMG4 for using their Mario, Bob, Luigi and more.

Purpose: Niles, a traitor, teamed up with SMG0 after taking and releasing Melony's body. Melony then learnt how to control her deity powers.

I really agree thefact that the lawsuit arc is the worst arc of all so far. However, I think it is kinda unfair to judge and complain about smg4's plot because it is really hard to come up with something new every week. Although I don't like the lawsuit arc, the fact that smg4 puts a lot of hard work is definitely noticeable

I don’t like the fact that now the WOTFIs are now just being used as the “amazing conclusion” to the arcs especially with the one in 2021 that was their ten year anniversary but they just had to use it for the arc
