I've experimented with this method and can confirm it truly does work. Just apply reactivate serum by littllexttrra daily at night and when you wake up just wash your hair with plain water. Weekly or biweekly, apply shampoo and oil the hair. Monthly, wash your hair with simple rice water. Do this for at least 4 months and you'll nice hair growth.

I'm a white girl with confused hair and I learned everything about caring for frizzy wavy/curly hair with black girls. I spent years with weird shapeless hair and I absolutely hated it, I would either fry it with a straightener or have this awful frizzy mess. Now my hair is very soft and I can either use it curly or straight and there's no frizz or breakage. Thank you for sharing y'alls tricks it changed the game for me!!

There's really no reason to go the black women for hair care tips when the entire beauty care industry has catered to your Eurocentric beauty standard for centuries. There are plenty of products and tips available on social media platforms and in the communities of your own human population, from women with your exact hair type. If you can't find them, that means you didn't look hard enough, or just don't care to look. Black hair care is not some Halloween custome you get to try on for size, because you can. Try educating yourself on the history of black hair first, before feeling entitled to spaces that are not designated for you. And please do not ever compare your frizzy white girl hair to the unique afro-centric hair. It's a huge spit in the face to our ancestors, who endured centuries of their hair being discriminated against and desecrated by your bigoted ancestors.

Everybody you are suppose to put your DIY oils on your SCALP. Not on your hair. If you put oils or masks on your hair you are just locking in moisture. If you want your oils for hair GROWTH you need to put it on your SCALP

  • @fatimahalixo
    @fatimahalixo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +313

I can say that this mask is great in aiding with retaining moisture in your hair. When your hair is moisturized it is less prone to breakage which in turn helps with length retention causing your hair to grow long with no breakage where you began to see a difference in length. I do this myself at least once a week, also keep in mind every one hair is different and there is such a thing as over moisturizing.

This will grow your hair. #1 your keeping it hydrated by adding those rich oils. And then your conditioning via the avacado. Which is rich in nutrients. Plus the added strengthening and growth oils. Castor especially. I learned my hair years ago. With natural hair, that's what you have to do. I learned water based coconut oils dry my hair out. Once you get your concoction, you will know how to keep your hair healthy and flourishing.

I have 3c hair. But I do hair. And my hands are known to grow hair. My neice has 4b hair. Make sure you have a conditioner, strengthener, oil and sealant aka barrier oil or lotion (to lock in the moisture.) I use all natural oils, I also use Do-gro, and Shea Moisture Jamiacan Castor oil leave in conditioner. I make sure to co wash atleast 2 times a week aswell. Braid and leave alone. When I clean my scalp, I look for a clarifying shampoo. One I use thats not labeled "clarifying". But acts as one, is the Cream of Nature Shampoo (red bottle). Scalp health is a must. Because it's the source of growth. Keep it clean. Oils can go on the scalp, but keep the grease off the scalp. It cloggs the pores.

You forgot mayo has vinegar too which is essential for ph balance. That's why the curls snap back. I used to use straight mayo in high school when I wore my hair natural. After I started relaxing my hair again, if you put the store bought mayo, your curls WILL come back after relaxing. Just looser. Like crimpy hair. I have 4 something (abc whatever🤷🏾‍♀️) and the curls come back so to avoid that, leave out the vinegar. Relaxing changes the ph balance and vinegar brings it back.

This is an at home cholesterol treatment, the reason why it works is the oils and fatty substances in the mixture. The egg and mayo actually don’t add protein to the hair like most people believe , mayonaise is oils and eggs with seasoning, and the egg yolk is the part of the egg that nourishes the hair, full of healthy fatty acids and other nutrients. Great DIY mask that reinforces the lipid barrier of the hair strand by feeding it penetrating oils/fats! Butter gives similar results, popular African practice.

Actually scientifically the molecules in petroleum jelly are too big to go into the scalp and clog them so it just sits on top of the scalp. It's a lot of oils that you shouldn't put straight on your scalp

I did the Cardi B mask and went under the dryer for about half an hour. I did not have a problem with eggs cooking in my hair. Made my hair really soft.

Idk why people do this.....something/ANYTHING will have been around for awhile already, but as soon as a celebrity (all of them) starts doing it people will act like it's the newest thing on the block. Like this hair mask, I've seen videos over the years where people mix bananas and all kinds of things. And it really doesn't help the hair if you don't do it every week. I believe Cardo b's hair began to grow like this because she was pregnant and had a baby and now about to have another one. Coming from a mom of three, pregnancy grows your hair.
Edit: BTW I just saw your comment saying how you know this is nothing new and people need to think positive. Anyway what I said is very true with every celebrity people do it.

Who cares? You so pressed to write this comment and b negative. How do you know if everybody knew about the regime before cardi posted it. Maybe she helped those who didn't know. If you been knew then kudos to move along. Why you even on this video if you saw what the caption was. It be the misery and negativity for me. Whew Chile

Can someone explain to me why almost everyone use the mask before shampooing their hair first. Doesn’t shampooing after the mask defeats the whole purpose?

It's a diy so it needs to be washed out vs just rinsing a commercial product. It would be pretty stripping to have to wash your hair twice.

I would think when the hair is clean it can benefit more from the nutrients in the mask putting in on dirty hair wouldn’t help much but idk.

@@DyamondMyne That's probably what I need to do. To get a routine going and once I start to see improvement, use THAT as motivation to continue. Maybe even make appointments w/ myself as if I am going to the salon and then KEEP it with myself! LOL! However it turns out, I thank you for the motivation and congratulations on the progress. It looks great!

Your hair has grown so much. I remember your relaxed days and when your hair had two textures, damaged and you decided to start over. And even your edges are so much better. Kudos.
Can you do an update hair care (daily, weekly, treatment) regimen?
Pls show us the way sis.

I believe dehydration in the body hair and skin which dehydration all over cause so much lack of appearance texture. The biggest problem is it’s hard to find natural products these white control everything they sell us😭

That's great if worked out for you, the ingredients I use for mine is 3 eggs, avacado ,a little bit of whole milk , babassu oil, aragon oil, moringa leaf powder, fenugreek seeds, clear/black castor oil, and a half of a banana , oh yeah chebe powder too blend it up. I don't wash my hair at all well maybe like once every 2months but once I apply the deep conditioner to my hair I sit under my hair steamer for a good hr. Rinse and style as usual and I do this every week and my hair has grew so much from doing that ☺️. Anything that works for you go it 🤷🏾‍♀️😉 be

Cardi's dad is of Dominican decent, and her mom is also Caribbean from the more English parts. Avocado and egg/mayo hair masks are very common in Dominican haircare, and the Caribbean in general. I feel like the more ripe the avocado the better. Honey is also great humectant in there, but it's sticky and you gotta wash it ALL out. Glad it worked for you.

"Cardi B mask" ,"thanks Cardi to show us the light and show us how to take care of our hair", "thanks, CardiB, because before you our ancestors didn't know that recipe, we were uncapable but you show us the light"
You hair is beautiful but give CardiB the crédit of this recipe isn't respectful for those who used it before... that's why others would still laught at us and we won't be respected.
