@11alexx22 what you see is burning of intake charge inside the hot exhaust. It can only get there in an unburnt state when the ignition is retarded to the point where the spark is produced after the exhaust valve has opened. The effect is combustion inside the manifold and turbine which keeps the turbo spinning, This what you want when you close the throttle. Once you open the throttle again the turbo will be producing boost very fast=ALS variable valve timing can also be used for ALS
This was a long time ago. It cracked the 205 block but was on 4x4 internals. running a 200 block now, 4x4 pistons, swedish plenum, 850cc injectors etc 445bhp/450lbft depending on the weather. Thats enough with RWD and limited tallent! lol And for all the doubters. Same turbo!!
I tends to heat up the exhaust and turbo quite alot. It will shorten the life of the turbo but its worth it for the extra performance. plus its switchable so not worried as its only on every now and again
Tyrrell F1 injectors Flowed Head BD14 cams venier pullys T38 Hybrid Turbo dizzyless with Coil pack Anti-lag P8 with babyboard Low compression build RS500 intercooler 10mm Plenum Spacer Mongoose Awesome but hard to keep in a straight line!
thats shithot geez...where bout you from? get a few cossies like this round slough windsor way....i heard an external wastegate too?? wat rolling road was that?
not really. it shook most of the bolts out on one trackday tho!! it makes everything rather hot and will shorten the life of the turbo but not to any great extent. Makes a huge difference to performance tho!!
Awesome video 14 years later.
The popping and banging is the anti-lag igniting fuel in the turbo and exhaust. The flames are the aftermarth.
it's not streetlegal, it was meant for track use only and it sortens the engine and turbos life faster then you could imagine.
Cosworth for ever..........
Correct! 10 pionts!
I had some valve guides stuck to some valves at the time and was pumping oil into the cylinders.
one word...WOW.
that was frikkin amazing.
loved the flame at 0:46
good old fords
love them

Very good!!!

awesome, can you tell us the mods you've done to the engine? thanks
if you tune it correctly, it will only do minimal damage....this setup seems to spool the turbo while the rpms decrease
they change the timing so there is combustion in the exhaust to keep the turbo spooling at low rpm

Funkyboozer When you mean swithable, can you switch it off yourself?
anti-lag is cool but destroys the turbo!
Tyrrell F1 injectors
Flowed Head
BD14 cams
venier pullys
T38 Hybrid Turbo
dizzyless with Coil pack
Anti-lag
P8 with babyboard
Low compression build
RS500 intercooler
10mm Plenum Spacer
Mongoose
Awesome but hard to keep in a straight line!
@TBWdracula2003
from 86-90 they were RWD then they went 4x4 with the sapphire and escort
Quality - good power there - I want anti lag now!
AMAZING YEEEEEE YEEEEE!
At the wheels
WANT COSSIE.
Sweet (",) Is that at Engine Advantage in witham?
is this a system that you can turn on and off so you can have a track day cay and a street car
yep, they are one of the best please to go in south east england
yes, but you do have the Mustang.... oh yeah, i see your point. You could buy a left hand drive cossie from europe and ship it to the States.
are they flames and engine sound caused bye the anti lag exhaust or is the sound and flames bye the engine get back to me
True! Thanks to Jano at oddkidd creations for help with finding all the bits! Top man!
quality come on the cossies
347 is what I saw on the scale.
it on standard internals?
niiice.
@Italia827 that dont answer the question ?
heeeee..cosworth power
them tyrrell f1 injectors are brill :P:P:P:)
thanks for telling me m8
i thourght my car popped and banged but its nothing compared wit hthis beast!
better than a fucking Honda
thats shithot geez...where bout you from?

Yep, not for long. 2 - 1/2 years ago and still going strong and now with more power due to contaminated fuel during the run.
how do u get anti lag ?
there is a lot of impurities in the fuel.
@Funkyboozer oh ok :)
i thought that the cosworth was an AWD
This video was like looking through the window of a gay night club.
holy fucking shit
😱😱😱..
Watson where satchel
@Funkyboozer LOL
I guess there's 30+k in that motor mate. . .
