Its probably 40% tuning, 50% technique, 10% recording technique. Absolutely deluxe.
50% technique for the sound of a snare drum? That is pretty heavily weighted lol
What about the skin he uses? or the type of wood the snare is made of?

richard spaven is easily becoming my top ten players. His pocket, the way he grooves and the minute details he throws into all of his grooves.. Just makes him both a simple drummer who stays in the pocket and an advance technical drummer.

I'm not sure about that. Starting from 0:24 I counted two bars of 6/8, then one bar of 9/8, then three bars of 6/8. Then it repeats and plays three more bars - two 6/8 one 9/8 finishing at 0:55 - 22 bars in total. But that's only the intro - not sure which bit you're talking about.

I think Jordan Rakei is really underrated and richard spaven is also a really underrated drummer....this 2 guys should be on top of the big ones.

The most tasteful drummers are musicians first, songwriters, playing for the soul/spirit of the song. I Hear Richards cymbals as melodies like a horn section. I am inspired to bring melody harmony and rhythm to the drum kit like players passing on the eternal torch of sound healing.

At the beginning that is...then after that it is 3 bars of 6 and one of 7
