When Su SU runs into the Highgod, on her way to the Terrace, the crown price cathes up to them and the first thing her "Husband" asks, is if SHE offended the Highgod in any way! I mean....HELLO?? She's blind! Thanks to YOU, dude! God I HATED that ML character so much starting from that part of the show...
Him taking her eyes was the ultimate betrayal, leaving her completely defenseless in that hostile environment, a place where seemingly EVERYONE had magical powers or resources and where she was already at a disadvantage being the only mortal human. I personally think they shouldn't have let them get back together later, kid or not. Instead she should've gotten together with his brother, someone who never betrayed her and always had her best interest in heart.
By far the best "arc" of the show. Can't watch this and feel emotional. Also, I hate how he keep saying "We'll get married" as if they didn't have their wedding already. It's like he's telling her "Our wedding meant nothing to me".

You haven't watched The Long Ballad? I think that had an even better cast, music was an international cooperation. It was very well done and somewhat historical. I loved that more than this one though this was good as well. I liked the Eternal Love of Dreams as well. My friends like the one with just Fenjiu and Dijun. This one was a bit too much. The costumes in this one was the only thing better. IMHO.

Dilraba's storyline sucked. 😂 😂 It's just me. I rewatched Eternal Love of Dream so many times. It is a matter of taste, likes and dislikes. I do miss Mark Chao.

It's funny how the little boy and his father are just jumping to Mother and Wife. Poor High Goddess Bai Qian is just confused and wondering how she got a son and husband, and she is 90000 years older than her supposed husband.
Ye Hua was the brother of her teacher and was created at the same time as him, but only his energy (soul) was formed for a reason that I forget. They put it into a Golden Lotus until such time that he could be born into a physical body at the right time via his ‘parents’.

The parts where she becomes human to losing her eyes are part of her "trial." It's the way in xanxia the immortals becoming gods by going thru trials if I understand correctly. The pro of the trials is leveling up as we see in games. The cons of the trial are the memories and mental pain. So, she chooses to erase the painful memories the trial left in her. Logically, if she and the audience knew she was going thru a trial, we all wanted her to hurry die to level up 😅. The drama hid that to put all of us in the rollercoaster. After erasing her memories, she gains new good ones from him when he makes it up for her as a new engagement. He has been engaged to her before they met. When he found out the old lady he has been engaged to is a gorgeous immortal who he has been in love with, he's very eager to fulfill his courting duties. He in the end sacrifices his life for her. That's why she finally loves him again. If they knew each other from the get-go, there wouldn't be the drama, and we don't have to waste a week of our life and lots of tears and tissues watching this drama. I watched it before, and here I am watching again. TH-cam wouldn't let me off from this drama's addiction.
