Thanks! I have a song written but my skills in Ableton are not good enough to produce a top-tier, professional-sounding finished product. I plan on recording a few guitar tracks, vocals, maybe a violin and some piano, and then have someone on soundbetter engineer some drums and mix the whole thing together.
I think that's a great plan while you continue to develop your skills! You definitely don't want a sub par mix to hold back the potential of your songs so I think you're making a very wise choice. Thanks for checking out the video and for adding your input!
Hi, I was wondering if you were able to find somebody to work with on your song, I have just set up my drum room with a new 8 channel interface and drum mics. I really appreciate you checking out the video! Thankfully, I’ve stayed busy enough just through my own clients and word of mouth that I haven’t had to try and get any clients though soundbetter. I do still use them to hire people for certain projects though.

Hey! Thank You for this video! I have a question, if I use a service from Soundbetter, like I wrote a song and if I pay someone to arrange the background score or mix and master the track for me, am I expected to pay him the royalties from my song?
Usually, I would say no for them receiving royalties in this situation but just make sure to discuss it ahead of time and have it in your agreement so there is no dispute that can come up later. Thanks for watching the video and for your comment!

I have a question? So, I'm doing a music project and looking for producers. I was wondering how does the whole rights thing situation happen. Are they ghost producers and we pay for their services or are they given rights to my song that I've written and made demos for?
I would make sure to have all that very clear and up front before working together to make sure it fits what you have in mind. You wouldn't inherently be giving up any ownership by working with a producer but it's best to have it all official and signed by all involved parties just to be safe. A more traditional set up is a producer getting a certain amount of points based of off sales/streams which you can set up now through Sound Exchange so check that out if you haven't yet! Thank you! I have continued to use Soundbetter with great success for hiring everything from grand piano tracks to strings to horns. Basically anything that an artist I'm working with doesn't have in their band. I still highly recommend it! The feedback ratings and sound examples on the sound better artists websites have helped make it fool proof for me so far to narrow it down before I even start reaching out to people.
