Really grown up conversation here. But be careful - finance being the number one reason for marriage breakdown is not actually related to pay disparity. The technical cause is "attitude to finance" or "financial incompatibility". Most relationships become distressed due to debt and attitudes to debt (note this is likely to affect couples right across the salary bands).
0:23 I think everyone's entitled to their opinion. Not being rich shouldn't mean a guy shouldn't be allowed to point out a gold digger. You don't need to have first-hand experience of something to have an educated opinion on it.
Money is essential, but imo mentality matters more. If your partner has the right mentality, it shouldn't matter if one of you makes way more. Work as a team & communicate
10:35 I'm not a woman, but I've found this to be a myth. Those are requirements from women on social media podcasts/shows. In REAL LIFE, women aren't that hell-bent. They prefer a guy to be taller & make more, but they don't specify 6 feet & 6 figures. And I've never heard one list "six pack" as something they look for.
These roles that you speak of are strictly based on socialisation. Necessity will make you adapt to a different role. Don’t get stressed over fitting into an imaginary box
😮 if a man lives with a woman without the benefit of marriage and helps to pay the mortgage or home improvements and then the relationships breaks down they can try to claim through the courts under the 1996 (TOLATA) the law is a ass. The law the needs to change in this country

I think it helps people to learn what money is. Most people have no clue despite spending a huge chunk of their lives trying to obtain it.
seems like a very supportive husband. Hopefully the wife never files for divorce
