Financial literacy pilot program coming to TTHS D205 students

The board approved the formation of a planning committee to devise and implement a financial literacy program throughout the district beginning next fall. The pilot program will begin during the 2025 to 2026 academic year, launching at Thornwood High School in South Holland.
Also approved was the 2024 tax levy, a $89 million request. But it comes with an expected $6 million in tax relief thanks to an abatement through the Illinois State Board of Education.
