When I started my beard journey. This is the first company I purchased “ beard oil “ from. About a week after using the product, I was looking for more oils I could use and found Mr DanC himself. I can’t say the beard oil was bad but after using other brands like Fable, Kingsmen, Bad A and The Bearded Mack I have not gone back. Very pleased with the recommendations! Keep up the content! I can’t speak to the taste 😂 but I did enjoy the sandlewood scent when I tried it.
Hey Dan. Would love to see a video dedicated to beard growth oil and supplements. I know you discussed it a few times but not sure if you have a dedicated video for one.
This was my first experience with beard oils and balms before I knew anything about beard care, as someone got me a subscription to it. As a beginner, it was definitely fine and helped with beard itch on a shorter beard. However, every beard oil I have tried since I found Dan C's channel has been better, so I don't plan to go back. I also liked their old logo better, when it was just a cool beard, lol. Thanks for the video Dan!
Posting reviews like this may make some companies cautious about approaching you but it will make the potential customers of these companies respect and trust your word. Fair play 🙏
I am customer and viewer first, always. The great companies will respect that and want to work together even more! The companies worried about honesty... can kick rocks lol I appreciate it Brendan!
Unfortunately this is a “first” for many men, I know a couple first hand. Grateful and thankful I was able to find good quality products in the beginning.. some TH-cam guy was a huge help!!!🍻🍻🍻
Aw man. This is not what I was hoping for in this review. I’ve been waiting for this review for several years now, because the beard club was the first oil I found and used and finding some beard TH-camrs when I first starting growing my beard. Haven’t used them since that first time and since I found Dan C. Had a feeling this would be the end result after a Dan C review. It’s a shame they don’t take more care with the quality of their product given the reach they have with their advertising.
Struggling to really find good beard oils in the UK, I’m mainly using a brand called Poraso in the evening and Seven Potions in the day - happy to take UK recommendations from another UK brother
A friend of mine gifted me their kit with their bores bristle brush when I started my beard journey and tbh I went ahead and kept the brush and continued using Honest Amish beard oil, better deals for the price in my opinion
I’ve seen that kind of Amazon review for a lot of products. I don’t know if it is Amazon, the seller, or something else. “Olive Fruit” is an unusual description. Looking at your beard, I have to ask how you test “Growth Oil”.
SCAM!!!!! I’ve used their products before and I was not satisfied with them at all. Every flaw you pointed out was right on the nose. Idk about the grittiness on my teeth though 🤣🤣🤣 as always great content brother
Hey Dan. Recently, in my TH-cam feed, a Scotland based company Braw beard has been showing up. Have you heard of them? Although overseas, I'm intrigued if they are any good
I would recommend the growth stim oil by Doctor Nicks= www.doctornicks.com/danc * DANC = 15% off Or the hair growth serum by Copper Johns= bit.ly/3obqC3h * DANC15 = 15% off Both have studies attached AND use the highest quality suppliers
Anything legit with Buriti oil is just that, legit, and im tired of pretending otherwise. As can be peppermint and lavender if i remember correctly which importantly aren't night time only stuff, especially love rotating between. I think the old judge judy trope of keep it simple stupid is one of the best ways to look for ingredients, then beyond that one can only judge the quality of the oil itself but looking and smelling like with fresh produce tells you almost all you need to know. I appreciate anyone trying to make new stuff beard related but we are already picky and that rather then this should be a strength. We already care, we already want to pay for quality, i think some people just miss that.
Hey Dan, when it comes down to using conditioner do you recommend using it every other day if using a daily beard wash? I know i have to use it on day I use a stripping wash but I just want to make sure to not over use conditioner and weight down or clog the beard
Gotta call it as you see it. While I haven't tried Beard Club products, I've got a box of similar products that produced less than stellar results. Part of the trial and error of the beard game I suppose.
@SahajPreetSingh-h5p it’s all feel and personal preference. I would recommend checking out this video for top recommendations: th-cam.com/video/dN3nqZA3JnI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=VYj_DXh0ScNC64vd
Oh... the Amazon reviews more often than not, are all grouped together by the company or username. Those reviews are not exactly about a particular product. Hell as a Digital Marketing guy, I have been offered several jobs to leave reviews for products on Amazon, and other platforms so even the reviews are complete horseshit. They are PAID FOR. If there are any results posted about a product like beard growth or something, notice that genetics, age or natural growth is never included. That's because there really isn't a way to do it. Once an ingredient is introduced that may wake up some dormant follicles then they want to rave about it working when it's just natural science and healthy habits at work. I never trust reviews especially when a company introduces a brand new product that has 10-30 reviews on the first day of release.
I’ll say it Dan. Made in China! Not always a bad thing, but with beard products, terrible. I prefer this beard club rather than the Beard Club! Unless you can’t say, what product were you inferring is showing better results in some studies than minoxidil?!
The ingredients that makeup products like the growth stim oil from doctor nicks or the hair growth serum from copper Johns. Both have studies linked on the product page that I helped them gather 🤝 I think you would enjoy reading!
With all the respect to your knowledge on beard products and beard care, oils don't have much effect if any for awakening dormant hair follicles. Castor oil's molecular weight is 933 which is way above The Dalton's 500 rule. Taking it orally can inhibit PGD2 and promote PGE2, which can result in hair growth, but topical applications won't do anything other than making hair appear thicker/softer. As for studies in which some essential oils beat minoxidil, they've been debunked multiple times. Nothing works nearly as good as minoxidil both for dormant hairs on beard and for hairloss on your head.
Could you please share peer reviewed medical studies show the debunking? That would be the only way to truly debunk. And I would not be so quick to discount generational anecdotal evidence of ingredients such as castor oil. Often times those are proven true down the road, in unexpected ways.
@@DanCBearded there's no such studies, so you can say there's no "true" debunk, but one really good video explaining why rosemary oil basically doesn't work is "Rosemary oil for hair loss? How to spot bad science" it even had the follow up getting further into the topic. Anecdotal experiences aren't worthless of course, but there aren't enough with proper before/after pictures to conclude it works. Again, it could appear that hair shaft is thicker/darker because of oil, but it doesn't mean it really promoted new growth. In fact, a lot of anecdotal experiences say oils do nothing for hair loss/awakening dormant beard follicles, while minoxidil does. People with alopecia/patchy beards are often pretty desperate and they try pretty much everything, so they're usually the better source of what works and what doesn't. As for peppermint, it was never tested on humans. A lot of stuff works to growth hair on mice or in vitro, but often it doesn't work for humans. Even on mice, it wasn't for mice with alopecia, just shaven mice, who would have regrowth anyways. I believe oils are important for hair health and perhaps can speed up linear growth speed or even get some new hair growth, but saying they're more effective than minoxidil is just unfair.

Boom, there it is! Thank you for sharing Eric!
Warehouse aged, low quality oils are a thing. Consumers need to know real experiences from trusted, reputable reviewers like yourself Dan. Thanks!
It really is a thing 🤝
I always find myself going back to Honest Amish beard oil (unscented). Perfect combination of quality and price.

After trying many many beard oils, Honest Amish original is still one of my favorites. And of course, I do like their premium as well. I know you do.
