Not looking often helps, because your eyes and can redirect all your focus into your fingers and rely solely on muscle memory. Some pianists have their mouths opened because all of their concentration is in the playing and their forget about irrelevant for music parts of the body.
@@most_sane_piano_enthusiast As a violin teacher, and also a piano teacher, I fully agree, However all these take time and effort, even for myself, I used to accidentally play and touch other strings when my eyes werent laid on tne bridge. But this kid, mastered it so wonderfully.
