Rengoku no Āshe (Ashe of Purgatory) is a one-shot manga created by Tatsuya Endo. The one-shot was originally published in the July 2014 issue of Jump SQ on June 4, 2014. The one-shot was later reprinted in Shōnen Jump+ on August 24, 2020, in place of a normal SPY x FAMILY chapter, with extra content describing its connection to the manga series.

I love how a lot of people know NOTHING about Rengoku no Ashe and are acting like they can have theories about how she's related to Anya, when they literally live in different worlds and periods of human history, not like a generation or two, but Anya is from the time of the cold war while Ashe is from the times of the fucking witch hunts, and the mangakas has already said that no, they have nothing in common, they just look alike.
For anyone confused. Ashe and Anya aren't related. Rengoku no Ashe was published in 2014 and Endo said that Anya was inspired from Ashe meanwhile Ashe's earrings design was utilized for Yor also that Yor has Ashe personality and you can see the reference when Franky says " the most powerful Witch". Yor's scary side is referenced from Ashe being a Witch.

It's a one-shot, most authors just recycled back their assets into making a full manga and this could just be a coincidence and 'theorists' are just grasping straws. Though I can see if the author wants to change genre they can just do so easily

Ashe was literally the whole family combine. The serious face of loyd, the fierce eyes of yor when drunk, last just adult anya but more scary. Well I guess it was his/her art style after all.
Thier was once an episode in hunter x hunter when gon refused to learn about his biological mother beacuse he thinks Mito san is the only mother he have . And i think i feel the same ,yor and loid are the only parents who can be bring happiness that Anya needs . I am curious about her biological parents however I refuse to learn about them .
There are actually small details i found in Yor's design, She's called thorn princess because her last name is Briar, a flower and in her semi-formal outfit her headband has a flower on the end of it, there are also flowers in the red part of her dress!(i mean as there is red in the dress while there is black out of the dress)
I like the idea of Ashe as a future-dystopian version of Anya when the world peace Loid work so hard to achieve are failing and both side end up destroying each other with nuclear war and turn the world to ashes, with only Anya left as a sole survivor. So she gather whats left from her family like Yor's earrings, her one and only school uniform that hasn't been destroyed, Loid's weapon and survival skills that she learned throught all that years the Forger spent together, and she managed to developed her psychic power enough into an actual magic. That would be so cool~
The same goes with Twilight and Nightfall's name being Twain and Nafalia Foney, from the word "phony", because Nightfall is trying to be someone she can't which is Loid's wife.
Another cool fact is that the author/mangeka is the assistant to Tatsuki Fujimoto, the mangeka of Chainsaw Man. Great time to be a manga and anime fan.
I always thought Yor’s earrings resembled the rings that held poison used by the kunoichi. I thought I heard somewhere that kunoichi also had poison earrings but I could be mistaken.
We don’t have a canon reason for the earring but she never takes them off and we saw the shopkeeper (her boss) also wearing them so I’m pretty sure they’re her “badge” to show she’s a garden member

The creator just reused the art design of Ashe for Anya which is a usual thing that people do on One shot mangas One shot mangas means Mangas that someone made just for a contest.
