Credit must be given where it's due. As an Indian, I say hats off to Pakistan's hockey team, which was the among the most successful in international hockey, winning four world cups . It's also sad that Pakistan has, in the last decade or so, been struggling to find its form, with the political situation, among others, taking its toll. India are definitely in a far far better position now, thanks to good coaches and a strong domestic circuit, although I think we too have miles to go before we can compete with the likes of Netherlands and Australia. I hope that Pakistan regains its past form and emerges stronger than ever, ready to take on the world

I am from Pakistan. I think Pakistani hockey team in 80 90s was like on another level. They win gold medals and worldcups.. Now very less attention on hockey team.

Green shirts played with heart & soul. The days when crowd would roar whenever ball gets to Shahzad Ahmed Senior. I miss them.
These goals are from comparatively recent times. However, goals of Sahhnaz, Hasan Sardar, Kalim Ullah, Shahabaz etc. were more spectacular.
They scored after dodging the defenders, outwitting them with body fakes & dribbling.
These goals are mainly through deflections.
