I would like to clear the vacation rumour as we have eye witnesses. he actually visited the phillipines with his mom and he along with his mom went out that night. There he and his mom met joshua's mom's friend and her husband to have dinner. Fans even has photos of that. That day many filo fans met them and they confirmed that joshua was only with his mother, and the girl that they have mistaken to be the alleged gf was actually his mom's friend.
Also the pictures that were used as evidence were taken from behind. You can't see their faces + they were blur. So people who didn't get into the details might have believed it back then just bcz of the outfits.

He suffered a lot during those months silently. and specially his antis took that rumour as an opportunity to bash him and question his 10 years of hardwork in the industry. I've been into kpop since 2014 but this was the first time i've seen "fans" go this extreme at hating an idol for an unconfirmed dating rumour. it was heartbeaking to see shua trying to be okay and fine in concerts and airports.

People are so shameless! I don't understand why they act like they know everything about others. Let them live their lives. I don't care if they're in a relationship or not, or if she's spreading rumors by herself or through her company, because we don't know them, so we shouldn't assume things on our own, no matter how big the rumors are, until there's solid proof or a statement from them. Not only does this man need an apology I also feel like I should be a wake up call to K-pop fans in general because this isn’t the first time something like this has happened and has been a ledge to be set up.
Like someone who got into K-pop because I had older siblings and cousins, who are into K-pop, so I was exposed to it at a very young age. I’ve lived through so many scandals and rumors so similar to this I’ve never they pop up, unless there’s like a legitimate fucking evidence . You legit see faces an actual receipts of them, interacting, and being near each other, and even then the most you can do is sit there, and just say congratulations for being a normal human being, and being in a relationship and happy and in love.
Is the fact that this is always normally a publicity stunt sometimes it’s by the company is themselves and other times it’s by individuals that have nothing to do with the company but they themselves are assigned to a entertainment company for the get the opportunity from their agents or agencies, that they work with to further push their name out there by affiliating them with a celebrity, even if technically, they don’t know the celebrity.
Not to mention, I always feel like the biggest red flag when it comes to things like this is the lack of actual real evidence, like as fucked up as that sounds like really think about it. In the past, when it comes to idols, even more recent idols that have actually been dating there’s normally always evidence in this day and age where everyone owns a fucking camera phone they’re CCTV everywhere, and most workers at establishments can’t keep their mouth shut. You can guarantee that there’s going to be a clear picture of these two people together at some point I’m talking you can clearly see their faces. It is not just people dressed up like these idols walking around, pretending to be them. Not to mention I also feel like one of the bigger flags on top of that whether it’s the company themselves doing this for publicity or someone else doing it for clout is the way it makes absolutely zero sense how they get caught.
There are several items from second GEN an early third GEN that are now happily married some with kids, some not, but they basically admitted come out with the fact that there is a person if they’re married to now they have been dating for years yet they have managed to never once get caught in such an obvious way they don’t get caught by weaving or interacting with them at concerts or shows, walking down the street heading who knows where where anyone can see them with like one or two security guards, or a manager, and that’s it, being caught wearing clothes that they wore earlier that day and took pictures of and posted up on like social media or something they’re not stupid. I know non-celebrity people regular should make other people I know people who work in the business industry who like to keep their private life private, they know how to avoid situations and things like that happening. You’re not going to sit there and post a picture of you wearing a specific outfit and then go out wearing that exact same outfit on a secret date you’re going to change your clothes. You’re not going to be caught at your concert, showing a lot of interactions with one specific person let alone your significant other know you’re going to sit there and try to interact with all of the fans and things. You’re not gonna get caught walking down the street first of all, you would never walk down a random street let alone empty ones the easiest way for a celebrity to blend in, is to legit blend in. As much as people think that it’s harder if there’s a crowd of people or people around you, it actually makes it the easiest because you’re hiding in plain sight. The likelihood of someone actually sitting there stopping and paying attention to a couple that look like everyone else there’s nothing super distinguished about them necessary is like very minimum. As someone who has visited Los Angeles, an asshole who lives in New York City and has legitimately had a run-in with celebrities that live in the city I’m telling you most of the time you don’t even notice. You’ll sit there and I’ll hit you later on or while you’re leaving a store or something cause you’re looking back and all of a sudden you’re like holy shit that was Dove Cameron like I’ve had that happen on multiple occasions before and he’s like yeah you actually wouldn’t notice the celebrities because they’re not Glammed up.
Also, celebrities know how to turn on and off that it factor like Marilyn Monroe talk about this how she knows how to flip a switch that will have people sitting there and paying attention to her and she knows how to turn it also that she’s blending in with the crowd, she can literally be walking down the street and no one would know it was her. Modern-day celebrities know how to do this most modern day celebrities are actually taught how to do this not only in the west, but like internationally.
An idol or a celebrity wouldn’t make it this obvious unless they were planning on coming out and just telling the fans and the public that they were dating. On top of that I personally feel like the company also needs session apology I understand companies trying not to be all up in there Clients business because I found out the day. That’s what it is. They are just a worker there. they are a client who looked for an agency found one and now they have a contract, but if you can tell that it’s clearly hurting the image of the idol, there’s nothing wrong with just talking to them. Not to mention most K-pop idols have no issue with telling your company. No, I’m still single or yes I’m doing this person or even just like that’s not my partner I’m not dating that person. Especially when they’re in the game for as long as he has been and even other groups that normally get caught up in dating rumors nowadays have been in it like if you have a good 5+ years on your belt of being in the industry I highly doubt that you would have an issue if there’s rumors like this going on in your company just ask you for clarification. They should’ve said something, but then again, I feel like this is some new protocol that has been implemented by the parent company because recently even. HYBE where before they used to actually sit there and come out and be like where he can’t speak for artist or we talk to said artist and they said that this is not true. Instead nowadays they can you just sit there and just like shit happened and I don’t understand it because not all publicity is good publicity, especially if it’s this damaging, not even to like the image of the person, but to their mental health, because of how much people are attacking them or being upset with them like companies need to stop the hell up to it’s OK to come out with a statement after talking to these artist because communication is key and just sitting there and stating know this is a false rumor or if it is true sitting there and figuring out. Do you want people to know about this or not? Because if you’re not comfortable, if they’re not comfortable going public with it, we can figure something out to get people totally shut the hell up about it.

Regardless of all the claims and "evidence" this video refutes, the biggest reason Joshua deserves an apology is that he has the full right to date and be with whoever he wants, that is it!! Even if all the evidence was correct, even if the recent pregnancy thing was correct, neither he nor the girl deserves any kind of hate just because some people live in their own delusions that their favourite idols are innocent teenage boys who know nothing about the world and will just rely on the fans for their entire lives. The amount of entitlement these fans felt they had over the lives of the 2 people involved is just ridiculous, and that is the biggest and only necessary reason why both of them deserve an apology.
That being said, I know K-netz are super weird about this and no matter how much international Carats try to educate them on this, it won't get resolved in a day, a month, or even a year. Thank you so much for this video! This is the first outright objective video in a positive manner that I‘ve ever seen on these rumors! Carats where fighting and reporting for their lives in the comment sections of multiple videos same as myself because they spread baseless rumor! It was so frustrating to see! Esspecially since the public always said that it was the fans doing but really Carats are so civil normally that that big of a change without any kind if proof wouldn‘t change the fandom so drasticly! Another thing is that we as fans(ppl in general) don’t have to go and do any research to find proof(still not our business regardless), we should just ignore rumors all together… If it’s not confirmed by the artist/company themselves I’m not buying it. For me, I never think that a rumor is/could be true simply bc a company doesn’t confirm it… I don’t need to know if they’re dating, it’s their private business and they don’t need to share that with us(nor should they have to). ~What ppl don’t realize or understand when it comes to social media is that when you’re sharing/tagging or retweeting a post you’re adding more fuel to the fire, opening the door for ppl to “talk”… giving the rumors and the person spreading them more attention than they need or deserve(neg. attention is still attention) by increasing their views and recognition. Twitter, YT, Facebook etc. doesn’t know whether you like an account or not.. it’s looking at the number of likes, comments, views(retweets, quotes tweets & tags) and ppl don’t understand that.
That rumor originated from a small account long before ppl suspected it was a set up. Me, my sister and many other carats didn’t even know the rumor existed until a little while later. Ppl(mostly fans) kept sharing & retweeting about it until it started popping up on everyone’s feed. The whole thing just blew up to the point where it eventually reached Joshua and media outlets.. The fact that Joshua came across a rumor that started from a small unreliable account speaks volumes itself. My point being that this whole situation could’ve been avoided and the rumor would’ve died out if ppl would’ve just ignored it in the first place. It’s no different than any other rumor/hate posts you see on social media. While everything was happening I even advised other carats to just ignore it and stop bringing it up constantly, bc if we were irritated and tired of hearing about it… how do you think Joshua and the guys must have felt. The only thing we can do is continue to love and support him the way we’ve been doing(without mentioning the rumor) and just ignore all of the bs. Especially when you already know that it’s not true, just ignore it. I’m not saying this is all the fans fault either, but a lot of us do share some of the responsibility, regarding how the situation played out. It shouldn’t have blown up the way it did and if this rumor really was planned for clout… we[carats] fell right into the trap. Honestly. I just felt like the girl is just some freaking troll. And I don't care about her. I don't even share any posts on SNS anyway. I will support SVT since I am here because of their music, and variety talent. Whatever personal stuff they have that doesn't concern me I usually don't care about it. They are humans too. And they honestly spent their days mostly with fans and work anyway so what more do we want? Even in their free time they do live when I prefer that they don't and just rest. I agree Joshua deserves an apology for all those antis and "fans" who accused him of such things without evidence. Even if it was true they do not have any right to send those threats and hate comments not to mention they took it way too far. Whether or not "fans" were the ones who sent those trucks they still posted on his instagram and forced him to archive or delete all the posts because of the accusations. It got out of hand and Joshua shouldn't have to suffer because of the mistakes those people made. They should at least acknowledge that being an idol is not an easy job, it's physically and mentally straining, and we don't even know what type of situation Joshua was in at that time. We should also acknowledge the barrier and boundaries we have as fans, we are not their friends and have no right to mingle in his personal business. And I agree, just because we feel close to idols because we know their story as idol and all, we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves. Let this be a lesson to think twice before assuming and think twice about our actions. We are on social media platforms, these are NOT valid sources of information. Lastly, I'm glad this issue is close to being resolved.
Oh but I'd also like to mention that because of the rumors and issues about his posts on instagram Joshua had to switch to Weverse.. He's still actively reacting to his member's posts but currently isn't posting anything. This is again, the result of people's actions towards him.
The fact that these “fans” would use the green basement as a way to insult Joshua is sickening. Using their humble upbringing as a way to degrade him makes me furious! Also those who think they have a say or can control their faves lives just b/c they purchased merch of the idol is infuriating.

Another giveaway that this rumour was planned is that even after this rumour broke out in august, the girl still copied joshua's clothes and shoes. and in november she was finally called out for wearing fakes of a brand that joshua sponsors and model. The pr and marketing staff of the brand also called out that fake cheap brand for copying their designs on her instagram story.

In an industry where cyber bullying is rampant, it is hard for our idols to live normal lives without facing ridiculous criticism as if they are not allowed to have personal lives or make mistakes. And even when there is nothing to talk about, baseless rumors are spread. Korean entertainment is a very stressful industry. This is also why we see and hear about celebrities committing suicide from all the hate and bullying they receive from anti fans and delusional netizens. We as fans, should never try to put our idols on pedestals. We should love them for who they are. Protect them and notify the management companies when we see or hear defamation so that they can act to protect our idols. If this is true then Pledis will eventually have evidence to prosecute those that tortured Joshua with their hateful nonsense.

This was one of those cases that had me sitting there and shaking my head, because we’ve seen this happen time and time again. We have seen over the course of K-pop, especially as it gotten more popular more more alleged fans, stockers, people who just hate these idols and groups for no reason Literally plan out complete smear campaigns have the most out-of-pocket evidence and yet still keep falling for it.
Were we talking about this, Lucas,Woojin, ZB1 member, etc. We keep seeing these things happening over and over again. We literally see this and careers for some of these idols. We see this become such a huge thing that they have to like go on hiatus or they end up having people genuinely believing the fabricated stories and stuff. We have people who get so invested in these people being the bad guys even though they’re all allegedly fans of these members are legally fans of these groups, and then, when evidence comes Out that none of its real that is false is fabricated that it was a smear campaign from the very beginning this person isn’t even a fan the video chat never even happened there’s no evidence that any of this was possible in the first place. Even when there’s so much evidence compiling against it, and actual fans are sitting there pointing this out or pointing out inconsistencies, or even just pointing out the fact, even if they were dating who cares, that’s their private life has nothing to do with their jobs.
The issue is, I feel like so many fans like to jump on bandwagons because it’s like if these people believe this, then I don’t wanna be in the wrong by saying neutral or defending this person. Even if evidence are coming out, if they see that they’re still a huge majority of people who are on that hate bandwagon they will refuse to get off of it until inevitably it crashes and burns, and then what they go back and pretend like they never was a part of it. Like they weren’t spreading that false narrative, like they weren’t taking part in most likely making their favorite artist life, a living hell because Lord knows how anxious they get and how stressed out they are because now they have to worry about fans turning on them on top of whatever issues they might be having with the company and how the companies dealing or not dealing with it like seriously stress is one of the number one killers in the world and people be out heredescribing it to celebrities left and right just because of the fact that they can’t just sit back look at the fact or say nothing about it cause it has nothing to do with you.
