It’s important for all of us to at least entertain the idea that it is a possibility that partisan actors in positions of power are minimizing or outright denying clear evidence of fraud. I teach the Civil War to high schoolers and sadly it doesn’t seem as far removed as it used to.
In the timeline of nations, our civil war wasn't that long ago by comparison. It's another reason the 2nd amendment stayed so relevant in America's violent cultural heritage. Sadly, this may just be part of the macro cycle of a Democracy. Revolution and evolution is the essence of our national origins.
If you're a teacher and cant see how different things are now than 150+ years ago I feel sorry for your students. There wasn't a domestic military known as the "police" in 1860. There also wasn't historical low testosterone levels. There wasn't obesity, there wasn't more women than men and there wasn't more old people than young people. There will be no civil war, unless you count people bitching as warfare.
