Hey Max, Dare here. I came back, like I said, to comment on your motivational speech. I'm EXTREMELY motivated, and because of you, I've decided to start vaping. I really feel like I hit the nail on the head with this one, and it's because of you, don't forget that. With love, Dare
Proud of you for kicking the habit! Stay happy, stay healthy, and happy new year! Your videos are genuinely a highlight of my day! That being said, I have no doubt that you're going to break the 1 million barrier soon, and soon after that the 2 million, and so on. You're awesome, stay awesome, and we'll all be here supporting you in the background!
"I stopped recording lockdown protocol because people got mad at how I play it." What the heck?? That's frustrating. I ain't here to watch Max play games "properly" I'm here to watch MAX play games how Max does. Some people are just no fun.
I second this fr! I watch Max because how he plays is funny! If I wanted to see someone play serious, I wouldn't watch him. Some viewers have a few screws loose, I swear.
Considering he was talking about how videos were performing, I suspect he was also referring to analytics. I agree. It's very frustrating. I mean, it's kinda his whole brand. Even in Lethal Company videos, he tends to be one of the least productive crew members. I don't see how Lockdown Protocol is any different.
@@walkmonkey7 He specifically said "People got mad with how (he) played the game" so that's not analytics. Max hasn't been a stranger to outright saying things hadn't performed well analytics wise.
I’m sad to hear about the lockdown videos, I personally always enjoyed them and your silly shenanigans, but you gotta do what gets you paid so I understand. Happy new year Max!
Ex Smoker/Vaper here as well! I'm *SUPER* proud of you, Max! Hearing that you quit vaping is genuinely great news! I know how hard it can be for sure, and I'm glad you've been kicking that addictions ass! Keep it up, man! You're doing wonderful!
14:54 huge congrats to you, max! addiction is one hell of a beast to conquer and the fact that you quit _and_ did it cold turkey makes the achievement even more monumental! cheers to sobriety!
15:00 Congratulations, dude! I quit cigarettes a few times, I started because of hospital and used to end up going back to it whenever I had long stays there, because the only way to be allowed outside consistently was if you needed cigarette breaks (otherwise, being locked inside a sterile room for months on end was unbearable). I quit again over a year ago and haven't had any since - outside of things like benzos, opiates, and pregab, nicotine withdrawals are some of the hardest I've been through. I think a lot of people don't understand the physical and psychological toll that both addiction and withdrawal take on you, and there's this "just don't do it :) it's easy :)" attitude, but it's an incredibly exhausting and emotional thing to go through, and you're doing amazing!
Big congrats on quitting Max. I've been around people who were addicted to different substances my whole life. Of all the different types of addicts I've known, only one was able to truly quit something (smoking in that case). I've seen many of them pick up new addictions when they try to stop and some of them never stop their original addiction. Quitting any addiction is one of the hardest things a person can do. We're all very proud of you for sticking with it and for bringing it up in a video. Keep it up; you got this!
Addiction are hard and quitting cold turkey is even harder i am so proud of you Max. Congratulations it is a big achievement for quitting cold turkey. I was sadly not able to quit but mine is just energy drinks but still its hard tried quiting cold turkey that was the worst and it only lasted 4 weeks.
Sorry, my reply glitched out and vanished. I said: idk if you want advice, so feel totally free to ignore this, but I used to drink 3+ energy drinks a day and I quit over a year ago (I've also quit a lot of other stuff, as I mentioned in my own comment earlier, but most of the others were cold turkey). I found it absolutely impossible to quit energy drinks cold turkey, because the amount of fatigue it causes completely derails every area of your life, so you end up needing energy drinks to catch back up. My advice is, first and foremost, to sort out other things before decreasing caffeine - any other addictions, healthy diet, exercise, major sources of stress, etc, at least where possible - so that there's the least extra tiredness caused by other stuff that you can get. Secondly, don't cold turkey caffeine, but start by switching to coffee instead - initially, buy bottles or cartons of liquid coffee for the convenience that energy drinks had, but gradually switch to instant coffee once you're on top of the cravings, because one of the hardest parts of an addiction is also the habit, and the psychological convenience of just grabbing a can will draw you back if you don't feel up to brewing coffee right away. Over time, it's a lot easier to cut down to less and less coffee once you've passed the hurdle of the huge amounts of caffeine and sugar in energy drinks.
i’m so proud of you max. i just had a root canal and im having a lovely time watching this video while i recover and rest. I know your channel is your job and you don’t get super personal often but thank you for sharing your achievement with us ❤
Congratulations Max, I’m proud of you for owning that and for overcoming it! I also appreciate you sharing your experience with us all. I have been struggling with it myself and you’ve inadvertently encouraged me to try harder. 🖤
15:17 Congrats Max! That is so awesome! I'm so proud of you 😁 not just for this achievement, but for the person you've become over the last- 8-10 years I've been watching you! You are hands down my favorite creator and the only one I watch consistently all the time. ❤
I'm SO proud of you, Max!! Kicking addiction isn't easy, I've watched people I love struggle their whole lives trying to grasp control of the reins, you're doing so amazing for even wanting to be here and starting the process and making it three weeks! That's such a huge achievement, congrats on your progress and to all the progress I believe you can further achieve! And to answer Doug's question; my favorite meal to cook is probably gumbo or thanksgiving. I love making stuffing and all the desserts and cooking with my mom and sisters- it's an exhausting day, but really rewarding and fun.
congrats on going cold to vaping. 1 month and going. as far as i consider it. thats a nice mile stone that deserve some sweets. good job and now ya got a new year to be clean in.
Gotta say, I’m proud of you Max, addictions are hard, dependencies are hard. They can control your life and quitting cold Turkey is so hard, I’m so proud man, been watching you for years and I’ll continue to due so!
For Doug’s question: Tilapia Quesadillas. It’s tilapia cooked in butter and creole seasoning (Tony’s), then put into a tortilla with cheddar cheese and tomatoes. It’s cheap, delicious, and filling.
DQOTD: okay, so normally this is a cop out answer, but I actually like cooking ramen. i've been using it as way to introduce more vegetables and protein into my diet, plus, with ramen itself being pretty cheap, I can spend more money on fresh vegetables and high quality meat, whivh has been working out really well for getting me to lose weight.
Hey! Congrats on the soberness max! My boyfriend is struggling with nicotine addiction as well, I know it can be hard. That's really awesome for u, and I hope u keep going! Love the vid as always!
Oponok is my #1. The one liners he gives are so sneaky and hilarious and he has the best voice I’ve ever heard. Ross is my #2, Dom is my #3, Fizzy is my #4, and Pooki is my #5. But also, it’s slightly painful to rate anyone because I love everyone in the videos. It’s one of the best friend groups on TH-cam. The harmony in how effortless funny y’all are is just great. And of course, it goes without saying that you’re a favorite too Max! And I didn’t say that, I typed it. Congrats on quitting vaping!
Max’s achievement: I’m very happy and proud of you! I vaped the moment I turned 18 and now I’m 22, it’s been 6 months since I stopped and I feel so much better for it. It’s also very heart warming to hear you talk about how nasty of a habit it is!
I’ve been nicotine free for almost a year going cold turkey was hard but it is so rewarding when you feel sooooo much better I can say this as and everyone else I am proud of you for nailing the bad habit in the ass it’ll be better in the long run :)
Loved the video. Hope you continue to be sober! (congratulations!) ❤❤❤. I fully understand why you stopped filming lockdown, but i would love it if you kept filming and post it. I would 100% watch them fully through. Even though i am only 1 person, sometimes 1 person can make all the difference. (Just like your speech)
19:15 Max c'mon Krista would understand. Everybody loves Gertrude! also for Doug, one of my favorite things to cook is a massive puff pastry sandwich filled with sliced turkey, spiced mushrooms, peppers and spicy cheese sauce
Gotta love the yearly performance review! Doug QOTD: I don't have a favorite meal to cook persay, but lately our easiest to do/have, has been chicken Alfredo (my safe meal) and tacos :) Although I'm about to try my hand at Shepherds Pie so we'll see if that becomes a new fav
Doug's entry..if it's American style, should've changed the bean to coffee bean, changed it to toast & coffee! DQotD: a whole meal? Ibstant Ramen cup. A single part? Brownies (dessert). Max, good on ya for kicking the vaping habit; keep on strong!
I'm trying to watch more of your goose goose duck videos, I used to love watching them but then you started posting Lethal Company, those are my favorite ones, I do really enjoy Goose tho :) Keep going strong Max, you mean a lot to all of us, I hope this new year is better than the last :)
congrats on getting a turkey, Max, though with how cold it is this winter you really should warm it up! A cold turkey is a sad turkey, so heat it up; but not too much, because then you might cook the turkey and that's also a sad turkey
End the Doug mistreatment!!!! Edit: Huge congrats on quitting vaping!!! Addictions can be hard as hell to kick, and they can absolutely drag you down with them, so it’s awesome to hear you’re getting through it well!!! Good luck, man, you got this!!!
Congradulations Mithzan!!! I recently quit too, im so much happier and i hope you are too. Your so strong, also to answer Douge's question, i like cooking cheesy rice and broccoli.
Congrats on starting that journey, man! I know it's hard. I'm working on my own addiction right now, so I get it. It's rough to kick a bad habit, especially when they are literally designed to be addictive and lots of people may try to convince you out of it. Stick to your guns! Future-you will thank you for sticking it out, and think how awesome an achievement it'll be the share with others! On the plus side, you've made it through the acute withdrawal phase, so congrats! =)
Doug's question: I've been on a "pigs in a blanket" kick for the past couple weeks 😂 literally 3-4 days out of the week for the last few weeks I make them for dinner after not having them since I was like 7-8 years old 😂 I'm currently 26
MAX ILY TRUST ME QUITTING VAPING WAS THE BEST THING IVE DONE I WAS SMOKING SINCE LIKE YOUNGGG & FOR 8 MONTHS CLEAN, SO PROUD OF YOU PEOPLE DONT REALIZE HOW HARD IT IS KEEP IT UP
Hey Max, I don’t expect you to see this or if you do, to react. But seriously thank you so much for the content you make. You being yourself and being goofy with your friends is the best part of every video! I can’t lie and say I’ve been a fan since the beginning but I’ve got like 4 or 5 years of your videos in my watch history, with many periodically rewatched when I need a pick me up. I’m an adult now but growing up with you and Ross as a constant source of laughter has been a wonderful experience. I look forward to every project you do and video you post. Again thank you for the content, you truly have made my life a little more enjoyable through the struggles ❤
Congrats on being sober for 3 weeks! I would be going on 3 years sh clean, but I had a really rough patch this summer in my life, so we just hit 3 months! (Wow, a lot of 3s)
Doug question: I recently learned how to grill steak and steak is my favorite food to eat so I’m gonna say steak and a good side to go with is my favorite to cook Edit: I got the the motivational bit at around 15:00. Congrats dude!
My favorite part of lockdown was the fish bits. Esciaplly the gun show down with dare and Bob. Fizzy came in. This is my pet fish. Good job mqx for trying to quit the vapor
Doug's Question: there's this cheesy pasta dish I love to make from the Laid Back Camp manga. I think it's called Rin's Creamy Soup-Style Pasta, though it's not soupy at all (more like fettucine if anything). I like to use gouda cheese and add carrots and bacon to mine :)
RE DQOTD: "Pizza Crumpets" - you lightly toast those extra large crumpets and use them as pizza bases, and the rest is pretty self-explanatory. I can cook proper stuff when I'm actually well enough to cook, I make the best brownies, I make a decent root veg mash with added spinach, but pizza crumpets are simply the ultimate comfort food - the cheese and tomato absorb into the crumpet, and then I use cocktail sausages and bacon bits as a topping.
Hey Max,
Dare here. I came back, like I said, to comment on your motivational speech.
I'm EXTREMELY motivated, and because of you, I've decided to start vaping.
I really feel like I hit the nail on the head with this one, and it's because of you, don't forget that.
With love,
Dare
😂
Gotta love the dynamic
dare, that was what he said NOT to do
😂😂😂
I never thought I'd live to see the day that Dare succumbed to drugs, now who's going to hand out leaflets in schools?
Max's achievement reminds me that I turn 7 years sober from SH in August :D Congratulations Max!
that’s so good!! i’m so proud of you🫶
i’m so proud of you you are amazing
Proud of ya, bud
Congrats brother!! That's HUGE!! I'll be 2 years clean in a few days, January 13th 2025 😎

I completely agree with you! I loved lockdown videos

15:07 Huge congratulations Max! Quitting can be such a difficult thing to go through, so huge props on this achievement!!!
15:00 So proud of you for kicking vaping in the throat and quitting that toxic relationship, Max!! You got this! 🎉
I’m sad to hear about the lockdown videos, I personally always enjoyed them and your silly shenanigans, but you gotta do what gets you paid so I understand. Happy new year Max!
15:00 10/10 speech Max. Hell yeah man, congrats on quitting 🎉

We need to bring back Jackbox for Season 9, we only got about three last year and the last one was Quiplash in June.

I like the lockdown videos, there my favorite
Congrats Max, I was there once too. I'm really proud of you man!
40:00 Nah, Pan's in the right. That is a winter sweater. The only way that would be a Christmas sweater is if it had lights or ornaments on the tree.
Congrats on being sober for 3 weeks! I would be going on 3 years sh clean, but I had a really rough patch this summer in my life, so we just hit 3 months! (Wow, a lot of 3s)
Good job on your personal achievement Max
That’s amazing max! Honestly need the motivation speech.
Doug question: I recently learned how to grill steak and steak is my favorite food to eat so I’m gonna say steak and a good side to go with is my favorite to cook
Edit: I got the the motivational bit at around 15:00. Congrats dude!
My favorite part of lockdown was the fish bits. Esciaplly the gun show down with dare and Bob. Fizzy came in. This is my pet fish.
Good job mqx for trying to quit the vapor
So proud of you for that! Good luck on the rest of your journey ❤

Congratulations max. As of today I am 5 days off cigarettes. I've been smoking for 22 years
Doug's Question: there's this cheesy pasta dish I love to make from the Laid Back Camp manga.
