- Many of you asked us to make a video of us talking. So I decided to talk about some tips we use to make our LDR easier. This was a last minute video before I left the Philippines. I edited it on my way home :)

Your relationship inspires me, cause I'm in a semi-long distance relationship (Tijuana, Mexico and San Diego, US) and we do all that. Yeah sometimes things get hard but we always find out a way to resolve it. Seeing you guys, makes me believe that things can definitely work.

I've tried LDR before, it didn't work due to the lack of communication. But now, with the internet somehow more reliable here in the Philippines, I would like to give it a shot again.
It's all because of you, Cord & Arvin. You inspire us with your videos. Trust, commitment, communication and that genuine feeling of love for one another are more than enough to beat the odds of the world! ❤❤❤
Life (and YT) are funny ... i met a guy in the Philippines (Im in the US) last Dec and we decided to try the LDR ... we are still together and I'm planning to visit him next year. Yur story is very inspiring... thanks for these videos.

This is the exact same thing my boyfriend and I do now - video chat as much as we can, stay honest and open, go on virtual movie dates (and talk about it after LOL) and try to involve our families as much as possible.
We've been dating for 9 months now and we're thousands of miles apart.
Stumbling upon this video gives me courage that relationships survive long distances. It's not really about the distance but the effort both parties put into the relationship.

Arvin is so shy. I think he should overcome that because your videos are giving LDR relationships inspiration and also hope for people who love each other but has this big obstacle in front of them. I don't know a lot of gay people personally (or if I do, I don't know it, b/c they aren't out to me), so for the most part, people on TH-cam or whom I talk to on social media are perhaps my only mentors/community who can support me in that aspect of my life. While I am trying to navigate through my life, you guys are giving me an idea of what a future with a man I love from another country could look like, and your words seem genuinely useful. Been in LDR for 14 months now..3 months ago my boyfriend & I spent 3 weeks together, it was wonderful...We were friends for 10yrs before I realized I like him & he always had a crush on me...LDR is not easy but if both are willing to make it work its possible..Now my boyfriend & I are building our 1st home together & our business will soon to open..yes we will get married..

As for long distance relationships, it’s different for different people. And like you said, trust and honesty are the most important parts, even when not long distance. And also it’s very important to have a goal for when you plan to join together permanently. I did this once but a shorter distance with me in DC and my partner in Philadelphia. But his job, he traveled each week from to Friday, and we spent weekends together. After about 9 months, he got a job near me so we could be together more and we moved in together. He moved back to Philadelphia when his mom got sick and that took a toll on us. So we split.
But you left one lingering question which was how did you two meet being so far apart.

LDR is very hard... I was in one myself and unfortunately it didnt work out... I guess it was harder back then.... since the technology has improved... (facetime, videocall etc). So happy for you guys! and hope everything will work out.

Oh I did the whole coming out while telling my family about my relationship thing. It was incredibly scary to do but fortunately it worked out and planning to get married in July with my fiance. Glad to see you both doing well too!!

I'm really not sure how ldrs could happen in the days before skype/video chat. The hardest part for us was when my husband was doing his military service so he wasn't allowed his phone unless he got a pass to go off base. We emailed a LOT heh. Glad to see another video and know things are going well with you guys!

Interesting video, I too am in a LDR (UK:Philippines) and we have chosen Singapore as our destination for our first meeting. Luckily both our families knew from day 1, so no issues with that aspect.

Thank you for sharing your tips! Me and my bf has been in LDR for a year and a half now. He is in US and I'm currently in Singapore. We met last year in Israel and it was unexpected love story. Since then we have been in video chatting daily, watching movies together, and just share daily activities, plans, etc. And was lucky to be able to spent a month in the US last October with him and really get to know him better and really assess whether we are committed to make the relationship work.
