Agree with most. Caufield ( I'm a Habs fan ) not sold on him long term, but at least for release he will sell for good money. I believe he is worth selling at release and probably rebuying for less in the summer. This year is a write off for him I believe. Next season who knows?
Thanks for your time and effort. I am a Pens fan so there are not a lot to collect in series 1. He does play well when given the chance just doesn't get much playing time
Thank you for your support! I think there is a chance Bjorkqvist makes S2, and Hallander if he gets in a couple games. I've heard extended series *might* make a return so there's still some possibility for more Pens!
I think the grades are a fair assessment to most of these prospects. I'm looking forward to adding these main four to my collection; Zegras, Drysdale, Caufield, and Swayman. It'll be interesting to see how others pan out. In other news, I just subbed to your channel.
First of all, thanks a lot for all your tips! I’ m a new collector and your channel is really helpful for me. I wonder when it’s the better time to purchase key cards like Zegras, Caufield, Knight, etc. I suppose that it’s not good deals to purchase theses cards right after the release date? How many weeks should I wait to get the better deals in general? Thank you!
Thank you! I'm glad my channel is of use. I would certainly not purchases these cards immediately after release. If you're looking for the absolute best deals, the months of June through August are typically when cards hit their lows after release. Of course, if you're unwilling to wait that long, I'd say weight at least a couple of months at minimum. But, then again, don't pass up ridiculously low prices, if offered, either.
Great video, I'm a little late to the party but I was just wondering if anyone else has had a hard time pulling caulfield or zegras YG? I've ripped a ton of series one, including a full case and have only pulled one of each.

While I understand what you’re saying and that Byfield hasn’t been released (though he does have his Canvas YG already), Series 2 should be out pretty soon. I think it just comes down to being patient for that release. I think the SP Tall Boys will be favorable in a niche for player collectors or maybe set collectors, but I don’t think that, personally, it would be worth covering, I’m sorry to say.
Thank you for your time on this video. I cant wait till this comes out, been waiting way to long. There are some weak prospects, but some heavy hitters. I'll definitely be picking up a case
Essentially, the Devils have had pretty rough seasons as well as issues with development ever since the Brodeur era ended around 2012. From an investing standpoint, the Devils have an obscene amount of potential. Hischier, Hughes, Bratt, Smith, Holtz, Blackwood, etc. But, with the exception of Bratt and to some extent Hughes, there is just so much inconsistency with their development of players that it makes it extremely difficult to gauge whether or not to invest in the players in their organization. And so, it's a "weird market" because there is so much skepticism on whether or not their players will produce like they have the potential to.
@@MainelyHockeyCards...I agree a 100%...I wasnt sure if you meant pretty much what you said or just that they're in a small market that doesn't get much attention..Its been very frustrating watching this team..lol

@@SladeByReality Certainly debatable. We've still got Lucas Raymond, Quinton Byfield, Moritz Seider, and even Anton Lundell still to come, among countless other top-end prospects and young players. I think that it is *likely* Zegras headlines this class, for the next year or two, at least.

@Mainely Hockey Cards Sure, what was his name Walcott, you identified as having low potential and gave a B+. Lot's of guys before him you said had lots of potential and gave B-. Every year with young guns, there's probably 2 or 3 that you're chasing. There are several that got a single call-up because of injury that will never play another game in the NHL. There are some that have already retired from the NHL and gone overseas. And then there are the others that you sit on for a few years and hope they make it. Maybe that's your B- guys. The main draw is Caufield, Drysdale, Zegras, and Swayman. The only way to grade Series 1 is probably by knowing who they left out for Series 2. I hope they don't do Extended again. It wasn't really worth it.
Would you mind to give me some examples? Edit: Players listed with B+: Kupari, Luukkonen, Pinto, Jeannot, Gustavsson, Addison. Of which of those, have no future?

To address the first part, I said D+ for Walcott, not B+. I re-watched it, turned up the volume to make sure, and I did indeed say D+. As for the second part, every year with Young Guns, for me, it's definitely more than chasing just 2 or 3 guys. I'd say *most* people will collect 2 or 3 guys. And that's fine by me. I'll collect 10-15 guys who I believe will have strong appreciation in value. Of course you'll get your single call-ups and retirees. That's normal.
