  • @erniewyles8832
    @erniewyles8832 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    What I've done is put a cinder block behind each inflatable, and attach a 2x4 about 75% of the height of the inflatable to the block with zip ties). Use the tie down loops and a different nylon thread to attach the inflatable to the 2x4. When uninflated, it will still be without air, but somewhat uprights. THis will help it inflate perfectly every time. It will also do well in windy situations.

    • @TheDadofAllTrades
      @TheDadofAllTrades  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching. I could see that helping. I do prefer mine to lay flat during the day though. I'm thinking about doing a tent stake review to see which might be best to replace the ones that come with the inflatables. Would that be something you would watch? • @georgephilips3528
    @georgephilips3528 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    We have artificial grass so no stakes can be used. To fix our problem, we unsip the inflatable and simply put a brick or small rock in the bottom. Zip back up, inflate, problem solved. For larger inflatables we use that technique or put a large piece of wood on the ground and tie to it.

    Going to try this. I ordered extra strings off amazon. Our biggeat issue is with our longer inflatables, like Grinch with Max or snoopy and woodstock - they teeter over at their heads..

    • @TheDadofAllTrades

    • @TheDadofAllTrades

    I will try this method on mine, but I did notice that you didn’t stake the bottoms of the inflatables they usually have tow eyelets for stakes. Are they not need using the triangle method?

    • @TheDadofAllTrades
      @TheDadofAllTrades  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching, and that's awesome that you noticed it. Honestly at the time I didn't really see the bottom loops, so I didn't use them. It definitely won't hurt to use them also, but on the short inflatables it isn't totally necessary. The larger ones definitely need to be staked down everywhere possible. My God! A Million thanks to you for posting this video. I painstakingly watched 5 other videos that were horrible, before finding this one. The other ones just said to blow it up, take the 4 stakes that comes with the inflatable and stick them in the ground, facing it in whatever direction you want. And I'm over here thinking, "yeah, no shit. I'm aware of what the premise behind them is. Now how about you show me how to do it since I've never EVER used an inflatable before. (Except that one time in college. But that was a different type of inflatable, and for different... Learning type reasons lmao).
    I'm glad your video not only gave a very well detailed walkthrough on each step, but you actually showed what to do while saying it. I've never used these before, but, I saw a Christmas cow that was too damn funny not to buy, so for the first time in my life of 40 years, I bought an inflatable. The instructions read like stereo instructions from the 1980's, so I was cowfused. But thankfully I found your video and within 5 minutes, I had it safely and securely in the ground.
    Thank you so much, brother! And I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving, and a very Wonderful Merry Christmas!

    • @TheDadofAllTrades
      @TheDadofAllTrades  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey thanks for watching!
