Hey plus ultra man I know you busy and trying to put out what ifs. If you could try to get to the better left unsaid series that would be awesome. You were right it is one of the best fanfics I've ever read. It needs a great narrator to truly make it great though
I really love the modernization of the characters. It's what they deserve, the writing is especially better for Bulma. Bulma using the wish so they can figure out Goku's past is really sweet and endearing. A very good and meaningful addition
I like the idea of incorporating Chichi as a Z-Fighter that early on, as that leaves her a lot of potential love interests (Krillin, Yamcha, Vegeta, etc(
Man, coming back to this, I really hope you come back to this story. I've always loved stories focused on characterization and combine that with your modernizations that work VERY well, I feel like you could do SO MUCH with this!
Love this, any chance of them meeting the Galactic Patrol first (no point in including Merus as he likely wouldn't care about meeting Goku, who doesn't have God ki or any concept of Ultra Instinct at this point in the timeline) but at least Jaco, who does know Bulma's sister? However one does have to take into account that they'd be leaving a motivated & still evil Piccolo alone on Earth with no one close to him in power (including Kami) to reasonably stop him.
Your mind seems to be drifting in the same direction as my own, you should definitely stay tuned though I'm sure you'll be surprised still by the concept I've been thinking of!

This was amazing, I can't wait for future parts. Overall this might be my favorite What-if (at least first episode of one) you've done ever. I'm not even THAT interested in the Bulma/Goku, I just think this was really well done and has a lot of potential to go a lot of different places that I'm super excited for.

Why? It's true. The original pairings (Bulma/Vegeta, Chi Chi/Goku, and Krillin/18) are garbage because the males suck AS PARTNERS and parents. And the wives aren't on the same wavelength with their boos.

To be fair, once goku hits 16-18 years old, a 4 year age gap isn’t too ridiculous for their relationship, should it have happened. Because let’s be real here everyone reading this comment, we’ve seen some pretty illegal and cursed relationships on not only TH-cam, but on many tv shows, movies and in just general life itself. A four year gap in age is doable.
This is an interesting take on this idea. We get to see Goku and Bulma relationship develop here which is pretty good, and an interesting twist with Chi-Chi joining in training under Master Roshi I'm hoping she stays a Z-Fighter here. Finally ending with a Space Adventure Honeymoon this can be a Grand Tour or Concerned Tour, because of the Frieza Force maybe Jaco can go along as extra help. Anyways another really good start to this new series, and looking forward to the next part soon.

That’s possible but if they’re in the same spaceship or at least a similar enough one Goku will training with the gravity chamber so it’s actually more likely that he would outclass Raditz far before he ever meets him considering the boost he has in the Namek saga

I like the in-depth detail of the character personality and decisions that would lead to the eventual proposal of Bulma and Goku. With certain characters now in more direct path as well as early Venture across the Stars this would definitely cause changes in between the 5 year time skip that we actually saw in the Kakarot game. I'm glad that you have returned what your what is stories and I would love to see this would continue as well as a continuation of Zabuza surviving and Mentor Stain.

Playing the older games where "filler" is added between the main story involving the two characters only makes that more apparent. What I could imagine how this scenario would play out is that Vegeta would probably marry Launch or Bulma's older sister, or maybe not become married at all, it's very unlikely that he'll end up with Chi-Chi as Chi-Chi would marry Yamcha due to the simple facts that she considers Yamcha to be a sweet guy, and considers him to be fond of her, Yamcha is the only other guy that has an established dynamic between them, so it'd be pretty hard to do. Besides, I think Yamcha should have a kid so Gohan could have a friend 1. Vegeta would arrive too late 2. Vegeta doesn't have the pure heart Chi-Chi swoons over.
Plus Ultra Man, what you have done was the best What If suggestion and development of Bulma and Goku's relationships. Making some of Z-Fighters being close as family, having Chi-Chi becoming an excellent martial artist and now Goku's origins makes our MC a lot closer to his heritage than ever before. This seems like a very realistic adaptation to the story, and if anything, Goku would find out about gravity training sooner, making him stronger, but still not enough to beat Raditz. However, when at King Kai's world, with Goku's more mature nature than in canon, and with his extra strength as opposed to the canon story, Goku would likely learn Kaioken and Spirit Bomb quicker and learn to use the two more efficiently, making his battle with Vegeta far easier. With Bulma making further adjustments to the gravity machine in the meantime, there would probably be a 1000x limit or maybe even higher, especially with the extra time put into it. This makes Goku be able to get many times stronger than in canon, making his fights with the entire Ginyu Force a joke, and nearly defeating Final Form Frieza with just Kaioken times 20. Frieza, however, instead of going after Krillin, would attack Bulma instead seeing that she is much more a factor in Goku's life than anything else. Frieza would kill Bulma, and Goku would become a Super Saiyan, but Frieza even at Full Power would be a complete joke to Goku. Goku would obliterate Frieza before Frieza could damage Namek, then using the Dragon Balls to revive everyone that was killed by Frieza, which includes Bulma, Vegeta, and the Namekians of Namek, and also getting his potential unlocked. He would also most likely be able to control Super Saiyan better, and eventually even learn to combine Kaioken and Super Saiyan, although only a level one Kaioken since the strain on his body would be far greater, and due to how strong he is and how actively training he is, he would get the heart virus and get over it right before the android saga, making the androids and Cell a walk in the park.
Just subscribed- I really loved this interpretation of this story, i really hope you continue this scenario at some point, cause you’d got a knack for telling this romance in Dragon Ball.

Honestly, no one has covered the idea of Goku marrying both Chi Chi and Bulma. I think that it's such a wild concept that could have ramifications for the general story as well.

if Goku had married bulma he would be too OP for the saiyans think about it, Goku no longer needs to hear the BS of chichi telling him to go to work he can spend 24 hours a day training and Bulma coming up with ways to make it harder im sure she would of built a gravity chamber and Goku within 5 years would of reached at least 1million PL by the time Raditz arrived lastly Gohan would of no longer been studying to become a scholar, not only that due to his mothers and grandpa genes he would of most likely been born with superior IQ. so if this were to have happened none of the arcs would be any good because Goku would be too strong the only downside to this marriage would be that Goku is not really the City Guy he likes living in the mountains and wild same with Chichi.

Honestly, no one has covered the idea of Goku marrying both Chi Chi and Bulma. I think that it's such a wild concept that could have ramifications for the general story as well.

if Goku had married bulma he would be too OP for the saiyans think about it, Goku no longer needs to hear the BS of chichi telling him to go to work he can spend 24 hours a day training and Bulma coming up with ways to make it harder im sure she would of built a gravity chamber and Goku within 5 years would of reached at least 1million PL by the time Raditz arrived
lastly Gohan would of no longer been studying to become a scholar, not only that due to his mothers and grandpa genes he would of most likely been born with superior IQ.
so if this were to have happened none of the arcs would be any good because Goku would be too strong
the only downside to this marriage would be that Goku is not really the City Guy he likes living in the mountains and wild same with Chichi.
