  • Hello! Here's an old visual today of a route that no longer exists. Well, not ran by Marshalls anyway. Currently, Vectare started to run the 90 after Marshalls withdrew from the route, however the route itself varies quite considerably to the one in this video.
As seen in this journey visual, Marshalls' 90 used to run from Newark-on-Trent Bus Station to Nottingham, Friar Lane via Farndon, East Stoke, Eden Hall, Coneygrey Spinney, Saxondale, Harlequin, Radcliffe (bypass), West Bridgford, Trent Bridge, Meadows Way and Nottingham Railway Station. It used to run hourly with a pair of Optare Versas; of which this was filmed on Versa YJ67GBE OP117.
As a side note to give some present context to this route (I can't really film a new visual due to Vectare using E200MMCs), the Vectare 90 runs more or less the same route, but with some fairly large differences. In Newark, the route was extended to serve Balderton and Fernwood to the south of the town. Between Newark Bus Station and the A46, the route is the same as the old Marshalls route, however the 90 now leaves the A46 an exit earlier to serve East Bridgford Garden Centre and the town of Bingham. The rest of the route after Saxondale is the same, however the terminus in Nottingham is now on Beastmarket Hill (the 48 stop) rather than on Friar Lane. Also, more 'Trent Barton style' the outbound route towards Fernwood now serves Broadmarsh Bus Station as well.
    Thanks for watching! :)
