    You should upload the full video in real time for those of us that actually do work on our cars ourselves. Great video

      I agree! That’s the main reason why I started a channel cus I could never find the info I needed when it came down to it. If I had to do this job again I definitely would, but since it was my first time working on this ferrari and doing this job I wanted to put all my focus on the job and getting done correctly so the easiest thing for me was to set up the camera and get to work. I have a video I’m editing now on a 2013 c6 corvette that’s a bit longer but shows every single step I took on replacing the steering rack. Thanks for the input man very much appreciated!

    What's the name of your shop and where are you located for service work needed in the future? Keep up the good work with the channel.

    Thats awesome. Hopefully you get more subscribers. 40 hrs for a clutch is good. Ive worked on Porsche's and Vipers but not any of the other exotics.

      It was pretty awesome! It’s an amazing machine and thanks man I hope my subscribers grow too! I’m in no rush either I enjoy putting content out I can’t find info on whenever I have to work on these cars 🤷🏽‍♂️

    How do you mechanics know exactly what to do on so many different cars, so many different wires etc..

    • @ObiTheTech
      @ObiTheTech  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It can be a mission honestly but what I usually do is take pictures of components and wiring before removal so I can use as a reference when reinstalling everything. Working on this f430 was a first for me and it wasn’t too bad.

    Smart move doing valve covers while you can stand in the bay!

      Thanks man! Gotta do what’s gotta get done. I was actually supposed to remove that big brace bar in the way but to get to the bolts up front the convertible had to be opened and I wasn’t sure if the convertible was in working condition. Usually when older cars some in with the convertible up I leave it unless necessary. Last thing you wanna do is fix a problem for free 😂

    how often need to replace clutch for F1 mission?? for 360 and 430 case...

    • @ObiTheTech
      @ObiTheTech  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s very hard to say exactly how often, It all depends on how the car is driven really. Driving these cars in stop and go traffic can be harsh on the clutch, also inching forward too much at stops. This f430 in particular only had near 12k miles and had a hard time moving from a dead stop.

      @@ObiTheTechthanks for your reply. 12000km is very short.... maintenance cost a lot. i cannot be owner. Manual mission also need to replace clutch often??

      I bought a beautiful, mint condition 08 Spider two years ago. It had ten thousand kilometres on it. Since then I have put 6,000 kilometres on it. The roof failed a month ago, and it needed an oil change and fluids. So I took it to Ferrari to get it done. I told them to let me know the clutch condition. (It had been done just before I bought it ). They said it was like new, barely any wear. Bear in mind,I NEVER drive it in stop and go traffic. I avoid that like the plague. I don’t enjoy it anyways.

      @@Wowwow-wl3kx looks like there was two issues. It says “found left hand Tunneau micro switch mis aligned. Also re fill hydraulic fluid and lubricate. That cost me a thousand dollars Canadian.

    Why are you taking off the valve covers and taking apart the ignition system to replace the clutch?

    • @ObiTheTech
      @ObiTheTech  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I was replacing the valve cover gaskets and spark plugs while I had room with the transmission removed.

      Honestly I have no clue how much the customers bill was but the job paid me over 40 hrs! And no I wanted to be gentle lol, before repairs tho it was a pain for it to go into first gear. Once it was rolling it drove pretty fine.

    That is absurd. What a colossal mess. Need a better design. Better yet, a far more reliable and robust clutch.
