Yes, the background of the picture should appear again because we trashed the layer mask. It's correct.

I tried the tutorial thought it was cool but I couldn't get it to come out the same. I am using Photoshop 2020, not sure what happened.

Hi. I'm sure I've followed all the instructions, but when I get to 6:26 and use the pencil tool on the areas I want to jut out from the letter, nothing happens. I've gone over this four times and it still doesn't work. Did anyone else have this problem?
6:20 after selecting the pencil tool it show error " Could not use the pencil because the target layer is hidden"

Make sure the layer masks or the selections aren't inverted. Also, make sure your foreground and background colors aren't inverted.

At the time 6:25 i did everything but mine said subject is hidden and can not brush. I am using 2020 PH

I'm unable to use the pencil tool. It's not bringing back the part of image I want, instead it's painting the alphabet area white. I'm unable to understand why is it not working.

Blue Lightning TV Photoshop All ok up to exposing selection outside of the letter (all masks in place as in video). Just whites out the letter, it is as if there is a step missing. I have tried several times starting from scratch each time with the same result.
Found it worked if I made a selection of the letter and inverses the selection.
