I wish. It's one of my jobs I'd love to try but I know I wouldn't be good enough. I've been in a few amateur productions and only ever got cast as ensemble / stand and talk characters.

@ChildishGiant Well it's just as noble as a hobby as it is as a career! In fact, the atmosphere in amateur productions can be really fun because everyone is there entirely for the joy of it. They aren't jaded or judgmental.
@Nickay You don't have to be in musicals! Straight theatre is a glorious land of less attractive people. I used to be a musical theatre person but now I am hardcore theatre all the way.
I love the thought of doing straight theatre professionally. Wish it was a bit more common, musicals tend to dominate in my experience 😝

Sometimes with smaller casts they actually need the backing vocals from everyone even though they may not be onstage. Gives it some depth.

I love the backstage larking about! That's what makes doing theatre so fun! I kind of enjoy quick changes. Not in a pervy way but cos it's so precise. The costume team have it to an art. When I was working on Jersey Boys there was a quick change where the actress unzipped her dress while she was onstage, stepped out of the dress and shoes in the wings, into another dress and shoes and then was back onstage in something like 10 seconds. Everyone worked around her in a flash. It might even have been less!
Interesting to see the process of the quick change, never would have thought you had someone specifically to pull your socks up but now that I've seen it, it makes total sense
Anyone commenting about Carrie's weight:
1. Carrie is stunning, and wonderful, and looks happy (and hopefully is on way towards happiness and brighter days, at least, because that's what's important).
2. Needs a hug, because they're clearly struggling with their own issues, but also, Carrie needs a hug because people shouldn't put their issues on other people.

Watching the bows from side of the stage made me really emotional, just like when I saw Heathers on the 14th July, I was sitting at the back of the auditorium right near Andy Fickman, he was so nice and signed my program for me.

My dad took me to London as a graduation gift and it lined up miraculously with the Heathers previews and I spent the entire night smiling and crying because of how much I love this show. It's so nice to hear everyone cheer because the show is that spectacular that you can't help but cheer the whole way through. Now, let's go get a slushie!

HiMyNameIsSeven I think Carrie has mentioned before that it's relatively easy for her to learn lines.
That quick change is actually very easy for Carrie, she simply had to take off a Velcro dress, put her jacket on and a headband!

I absolutely love heathers the musicsl so much. Being 17 myself it hits pretty close to home. Hearing the song "beautiful" makes me teary whenever it comes on, because life can be pretty shit sometimes, but you just have to remember that "life can be beautiful" and you have to focus on those things that make you happy!. Watching this stuff makes me feel like I'm part of the show! As an actor who's absolutely terrified of doing theatre this makes me feel like I'm there. I auditioned for the HP play and seeing the bts from Heather's I have no idea how you can power through it all, it's so much hard work with barely any time off!
Ahh gosh, this vlog makes me miss Heathers so much! I saw it 4 times in June and watching this vlog just brought it all back, I miss it so much! Luckily I get to see it again twice in September but I'm worried that its not going to be the same when it moves to the West End, I love it so much how it is now!

I saw the show yesterday and HOLY MOTHER OF GOD IT WAS INCREDIBLE!!!! I was in seat D13 and it was amazing, dead centre and exactly in the eyeline of the cast. Slightly intimidating and intense at some point though. But honestly, incredible. Totally deserving of a standing ovation and I just want to see it again!!!! Do you jump when JD shoots the TV and the bomb goes off or are you use to it now???

I live in a little town in the Lake District and yesterday I came all the way to London to see Heathers. I was not disappointed! Carrie you honestly blew me away. You and the rest of the cast are so fricking amazing and I laughed, cried and whooped so loudly I went home at midnight with no voice. Thank you for making my day trip to London so so worth th wait!! ♥️💛💚💙
