My mom died on January 28th of this year 2022 I miss her terribly and the power of her prayers protected me. She was always faithful to God and was always praying for us kids. She is in paradise now with king Jesus wearing a crown of life and living in a beautiful mansion that my king Jesus prepared just for her. I miss my Mother Millie and the protection of her prayers. I am still alive and following Jesus because of my mother. Enjoy your time in heaven and with your mother and family my dear sweet mother. You remained faithful through all of life's pain and heartache and I know that heard Jesus say well done my good and faithful servant. So long for now my dear sweet mother. I will see you soon in the near future. Your son Robert
This song sure gets to me I listen to my dear Mother pray so many times she’s been gone since 07 but I can still hear her how sweet she sounds I’ll see her soon Thank God
I am SOOOOOOOO glad that when my mama got saved @ 53 that I know she prayed for me day and night before she went home to be with Jesus just 3yrs later.. That was in 1992 I got saved in 93 and still serving my Jesus today!!!!
I love this song. It reminds me how much my mom has prayed for me over the years. I believe God *did* pay attention when she cried out in some of her most desperate times! And I am who I am today, at least in part, because of those prayers.
Such a powerful and touching song I lost my mom about 5 yrs ago and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't miss her this song brought tears to my eyes one day I will see my momma again
loved going & see the Kingsmen in the 1980's when I lived in the Springfield, Missouri area don't know how many of their concerts I went to. Some of the best times of my life seeing these guys sing live at Cebtral High School
Ray's recitation reminds me how Big Jim always gave him grief by saying, "If we could just get you to sing as low as you talk, you'd be a great bass singer." This is one of my favorite Kingsmen songs.
Big Jim always gave Ray a tough time but the tenor was always his preference and yet when singing harmony he wanted Ray to blend! Most folks loved big Jim but not me! I don’t know how Ray put up with him
I believe the story you are looking for is on the Mississippi Live CD. Hamill tells a story about a "big ol gangly hillbilly boy from Arkansas" waiting until 4:30 to climb the flag pole to place the American flag at the top to let everybody know who was in charge during WW2. The story is at the end of the 7th song "Tell Everyone You Know" and right before this song "When Mama Prayed". I will try to upload the recording with the story if I can figure out how to do it...btw, I saw this CD on ebay!
Great combination of great singers
I am so glad that my Momma got saved before she passed away. I led her to the Lord!
These guys sing with their hearts! I love this lineup of Kingsmen especially!
