this was the best crime thriller ever made in Bollywood. Irfan Khan delivered mind blowing performance but still he was not nominated for best actor in filmfare awards instead srk was nominated for Dilwale which is bizarre.
In national awards, they should have given it to Maasan or Talvar for best feature film that year instead they have chosen Bahubali. I believe Bahubali should have grabbed the award for Wholesome entertainment instead it went Bajirangi Bhaijan. Poor choice of films for different categories.
Artani it is not the best but one the best and drishyam more a thriller but this movie also invest more emotionally if u know wat happen really that night. And if u want to see a thriller and best see BABY it's screenplay is in Oscar's library. Only 10 Bollywood are in there.

As on 12 October 2017, the Allahabad High Court acquitted Aarushi's parents-Dr. Rajesh Talwar and Nupur Talwar calling the evidence against them unsatisfactory and severely criticising the police, CBI and the media for not having investigated the murder properly. The case remains unsolved.

Also note that the movie actually uses the real facts of the case so we can kind of see both sides of the story. in real life, when this case was ongoing- the media really sold the idea of the parents being guilty and it was one of those shocking cases. And once we watch this movie, we questioned our judgement. Also here is a fact: The movie title: Talvar means sword (just like the sword of Lady justicel) but it also has a dual relavance to the fact that the girls name in the movie is Shruti Tandon. But in real life, the victim was Arushi TALWAR. thought you might find that interesting.

This movie is a jem, well the story as the trailer shows isn't one those "light" and "masala" Bollywood movies, so those who are looking for a fun movie they must look for another one to watch... those who want a good quality movie with an extremely good plot and acting they'll have a feast Irrfan Khan (a living legend), Konkona Sen and Neeraj Kabi did a great acting job, you won't regret watching it! ;-)

This was in fact much bigger than just movie... It made court reopen the case and change it's verdict... All credit to director who put all the scenarios in very objective manner without being biased at all...

its nobody okay let me clarify this as I wrote this long ago, he was my dad s client and had business meetings and dinners with this talvar guy many times in 2003-2006 ( I was born in 2003). My dad worked in the dentistry industry or something related to that then, now he is in IT. Now the murder happened in 2008 and my father has not spoken to him from 2006 till now. I think what I meant to say was my father said this guy seemed like a nice human being and my dad had also met his daughter who Dr.Rajesh Talwar spoke about proudly for about 45 minutes talking about her academics and her future. The whole thing was completely messed up but I trust my dad’s judgement of character.

I have not seen the movie but this story was a shocker n covered extensively in Indian news. Honor killing happen in India but if this was not the case it was painful to watch loving parents suffer years n years dealing it while whole India watching em. Also hard hitting to know how parents kill their own child n live with no regret. It haunted me personally a lot I couldn't take either reality well 😞

When the news came out, the entire school was mourning and an unpleasant atmosphere was there. For over, 9 months the school was silent, with minimal interactions. I know what happens in these times.

If you want to read about the real case, look up the 2008 Noida double murder case on Wikipedia. Noida is an extended suburb of the Delhi Capital Region.
I lived in the same neighbourhood at the time this double murder happened, it was the only news on television, it was so hyped that verdict was given in haste without proper investigation. You must watch this.
A little background, this is a real case, which took place years ago. It became a huge deal in the media, and then eventually died out. It's a heart wrenching story, and a must watch film. But in the end, you will notice a certain bias. Because of the "circumstantial evidence", the public really cannot know what happened on that night, which is a tragedy. Please watch the film!

This is a very famous case in India and from what I believe the parents are still in jail for a crime did never committed. The actual suspect believed to have committed the murder is someone that actually worked for the family is still out in the open

this double murder case was in headline for several years... for an Indian the trailer is not confusing at all, as we know every news and updates about the murder mystery... being out sider you will be surprised by each an every minute of the story .... you should watch this...bcz it has several mysterious layers...

This is a very famous case in India and from what I believe the parents are still in jail for a crime did never committed. The actual suspect believed to have committed the murder is someone that actually worked for the family is still out in the open
