Are You Brave Enough? Climbing the Knife Edge on Moapa Peak | Nevada

- Moapa Peak Trail near Valley of Fire, Nevada is a desert classic due to its incredible knife-edge summit ridge. This exposed ridgeline is about 300 feet long, with some areas only a foot or so wide. It is not for the faint of heart but for those adrenaline junkies with the appropriate skills, it’s such a fun adventure! Besides the knife-edge ridge, Moapa Peak Trail also features beautiful scenery, challenging route-finding, and tons of class 3 scrambling.
Disclaimer: This hike is dangerous! There is no trail so you’ll also need route-finding skills. It is also very steep, with most of the gain occurring in the last 2-2.5 miles. The knife-edge ridge itself can be very intimidating, considering that it is fully exposed, on both sides. There are class 3 scrambling along the ridgeline as well. So, proceed with caution and to your ability. It’s completely fine to turn back at the ridge if it is not for you! Also, make sure to practice Leave No Trace!

Very Scary, & well shot as well ! This needs more views ! ❤❤❤
Thank you so much! It was a wild one for sure!
I think my legs will be sore tomorrow after just watching this. Good job.
We were sore for a couple days after this one! That way down was brutal! ☠️
Whoaaaa… that’s awesome 👍👍👍
Thank you! Glad to have that one in the books 😎🤙
Whoa. This came across my Google feed and is awesome. Recently did the 14 mile down and up of the Grand Canyon as a day hike and looking for some more challenges. My biggest obstacle to overcome is still a fear of heights so would build up to this.
That's so cool that it is showing up on Google! Thanks for letting us know! It sounds like you definitely have the stamina and ability to do this one. But I'm not gonna lie, the fear of heights wouldn't be to fond of this. Even most of the crazy people in the group had a moment or too where a small freakout happened. It was a heck of an experience for sure!
If you like this try Eagle in the Armagossa valley.
Thank you for the reccomendation, we looked into it and it is definitely on the to do list!
awesome video...
Thanks man!
I’ve looked at this one on the way to VofF.
It's a beast man!
@@LiveThatAdventure It was! You that was a serious hike! Good to know just a pair of hikers is not advisable!
