Amazing video guys. I got into Legion about 3 weeks ago and think the channel is the best for battle reports that I have found. I now know how to play Legion from watching the battle reports and look forward to my first game. Thanks
The news at the end was really exciting to know ffg is reaching back to the community, he wrap up over all was good bc we get to see behind the scenes with involvements of our players.
Thanks John. LJ is a community leader and it was great to talk about his interactions with FFG. The pandemic knocked some of those plans sideways but everyone involved with the game is top shelf.
I'm going trough this playlist slowly. Big fan of the CIS. And can't wait until the droids get special forces and such to get more options. I'm looking forward to getting into star wars legion as well in the future but sadly it's not popular in my country.
Galactic Republic is on the painting table right now. The addition of Captain Rex this Friday should help me get them on the table for the next video so stay tuned.
Very professional development. Love the dice tray transition--many Battle Reports just roll cocked dice all the time on the board. Very very good. New Sub
Welcome to the Star Wars Legion Community! The Fifth Trooper TH-cam channel has a good How to Play video you should check out. I have had lots of people tell me that watching my videos has helped them learn the gae as well.
watching this with headphones is painfull : i listen to your voice at normal volume, have to crank it up for your friend, lower it down for you and once in a while i get ear raped by thoses blaster sounds. might i suggest lowering the volume of the blaster sounds please?
It's great to see the pilot droids getting in on the action, we only see them really get cut up after a Jedi breaks into the bridge of a ship and turns them into metal sushi
War Corgi, definitely. You both played so well, this video is a great example of how to play the imperials and CIS and I have new players in my local games club I run looking at playing sepies so this video will give them some strategies and basic formations.
Nothing more frustrating than losing to an opponent's ridiculous armour rolls. Droid player did great work, but can't beat 2/10 Palp failed saves and 4/~20 Royal Guard.
Indeed! Let me add that this comment is slightly less negative than your usual comments. Congratulations! You are growing as a person! Also it's a dice game. If you are not familiar with them, they can and do sometimes swing wildly.
At 39:12, the stormtroopers pass their aim token back to the shore troopers. Could someone explain why they can do this? I thought only clones could share tokens.
No problem! That round I played the command card "Coordinated Fire". This cards allow a Core Unit to pass an aim token to a friendly unit within range two after spending one or more aim tokens. It is a very powerful card in the Imperial tool kit.
Thanks for watching J Kyle! Star Wars Legion is growing very fast because it is a great game. I wish you good luck in finding a local community of players.
In summary it's because it was an Ion weapon but I have added the exact ruling for full clarification. At the start of the “Roll Defense Dice” step, before any other effects, if the attack pool includes the ion x keyword, for each hit () or critical () result, up to x, the defender must flip an active shield token if able. The defender does not add block () results for shield tokens flipped in this way While defending against a ranged attack, during the “Roll Defense Dice” step, before rolling defense dice, the defender may flip any number of active shield tokens. For each shield token flipped in this way, the defender adds 1 block () result. The defender rolls 1 fewer defense die for each block () result added in this way.
I can relate. We were just talking last night about how nice it is to buy a single figure leader for $12.50 and open up a whole new play style with a list. FFG just released a 500 point skirmish mode for Legion which lowers the price of entry even more.
You got priced out of warhammer in 1991, the year they sold the hobby company and decided people would pay more for lower quality plastic people than they would for white metal people if you just told them that was better. Ever since then the vast majority of hobby companies have been following the same addiction and dependance model, which is why (since everyone's charging through the f'kin nose) you're all thinking these sorts of costs are reasonable. The simple fact is you would not pay these prices for any of these things without the context behind them. A plastic toy army person should not cost more than about a dollar and then only if the packaging is lush.

I heard you mention STL; are you local? If so, do you know of any organized groups in the area?I finally got around to assembling my Legion stuff that has been sitting since launch and will be looking to get in some games soon at MM or Game Nite.
Hi Bernard! I am indeed local to the St. Louis area. Please join us on Facebook where we have a Star Wars Legion St. Louis group. Choassassin I made an assumption that they were out of range three when I issued the orders, but Lj pointed out that they were indeed within range three of Palp.
Correct, Linked Targeting Array only triggers when a unit is issued a faceup order token during the command phase. Pulling an order out of the pool does not trigger the ability.
