Metronome is like watching paint dry in the rain, can't wait for the BDSP home link to finally get implemented so the girls can bring in the teams they already have and have a tournament that's not a fancy version of flipping playing cards over and comparing which one's bigger
@@davidy22 I disagree. Because of RNG everyone can participate and have a chance to win, instead of an actual tournament where only those who play competitive battling has a chance and dominate the entire tourney, which people will be tryhard-ing and people will be disappointed if they lose.
I really liked the story of Marine wanting to win the tournament to return the pokemon to Kanata and prove the pokemon's worth XD it really made it more dramatic, like in those tournament arcs in anime.
That was a really great tournament, was intense and fun at the same time. Congratulations to Lui for getting the 1st place and to Marine who got 2nd place! This is Pekora's first tournament as a host, she already has a lot on her plate and don't want to overwhelm herself with many members joining. Heck, the stream took 2 and a half hours already even with just 12 members.

Too many members isn't a terribly substantial reason because at 12 players in a single elim bracket, adding four more adds a trivial amount of time to the stream and is better explained as she just couldn't find four more people who wanted to play metronome.
@ohlala lala That literally isn't a reason for having 12 players in single elim, that's just what you have to do to make the tournament functional when you don't have number of players not equal to a power of 2. It would still be down to luck for the "seeded" byes if there were 9 or 14 players because the traditional method for determining seed is irrelevant in a metronome tournament
@ohlala lala A 16 man tournament in single elimination won't be uneven brackets, if she tweaked the bracket to do that that's just deliberately making the tournament longer and adds unfairness to the bracket for no functional purpose, unlike what's happening here where it's used to compensate for a player count discrepancy. No one intentionally runs a single elim bracket with a not-power of 2 number of players, pekora would have done a bracket stream regardless of whether she had to compensate for uneven player counts or not because the matchups are still significant. The scenario that she deliberately denied four girls who wanted to play entry to the tournament when it'd be trivial to accomodate them so that she'd be forced to determine byes for a bunch of people is just bizarre.
