Wow thanks so much KW. Yes Australia has a more rich variety of parrots than anywhere on the planet. I LOVE your country and would have retired there in a heartbeat had it not been impossible being a Canadian citizen. Thanks for watching!

I just love the colors! Oh my gosh!!! I love the fruit bats too! They are really cool! Oh my they were trying to kill each other! Glad they weren’t seriously injured. Nice 👍 Don!!!

Thanks Pam! Yeah fruit bats LOVE to squabble but I havent seen them injure each other so far. They are so huge with almost a 4 ft wing span. When they fly it sounds like someone opening and shutting a small umbrella. LOL.

Don, thanks for this channel, and starting it off with Aussie birds is awesome. We are blessed here to have beautiful birds of all sorts. I am especially enamoured with crows, magpies and butcher birds. The latter two work hard on their carrolling songs, and it is so pleasant to hear them practice. What have you got up your sleeve after these Aussie tapes? Oh, and do not for one minute think that this absolves you from your homesteading journey. I still look forward to some trail cam footage from around your pond.Rich.

As soon as the temp reaches 45 C we get hundreds of mask lorikeets coming to the shade tree and bird bath , some drop from the tree but we are able to place them on the bird bath and make them drink , we save most of them, but sadly a few dont make it....you know when they have come back to their senses when they turn to sink their beak in to you....
