The day Zidane made me fall in love with football. And look at me know, I’m addicted.
I was a little kid wasn't watching football at all, My dad was watching the game and i just wanted to pass time with my dad so i watched along with him. When i saw Zidane and Carlos do what they do and then this kid Casillas enter the game and do those saves i became an instant fan and rarely missed a Madrid game since. I'm a fan for around 20 years now. Hala Madrid !!!
I was a kid too (10 years old). I even did not watch this game. I become a Madridista when Ronaldo de Lima score a hattrick at Old Trafford (2003) until nowadays (2023)
This is the moment i become a Real Madrid fan. Not because of Cristiano, but because of Zidane, Raul and Casillas.

Watching Zidane i saw glimpses of modric, but i saw Toni kroos almost every time, and now i think currently Toni Kroos is the most important player for Real Madrid as long as Zidane is the boss. The Maestro Toni Kroos.
Mosaab i admit no ones going to get past Casemiro and he’s the midfield engine , but if you watch closely kroos’s movements , vision and switch play is so important and under appreciated. He can play anywhere in the midfield, even as a DMF when needed

Kroos what? Kroos is nowhere near Zidane. Doesn’t have the same technique or pace at all. And no disrespect to Modric but he isn’t close to Zidane either. Zidane is an all time great midfielder and one of the best players ever. Pathetic comparisons.
His game looks more like Isco's. Kroos doesn't have Zidane's technique. Even Zidane said that he sees himself when he sees Isco playing

We lost that match, but everyone in Europe had seen that we, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, had played the best football that season. I never felt prouder to be a fan of the Werkself. When I was 10, I watched the 2002 Champions League final between Real Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen with my dad. I didn't know much about football or the Champions League back then. At that time, I only recognized Zidane and Roberto Carlos. But my dad told me it was a big game. Zidane scored an amazing goal with his left foot, a volley assisted by Roberto Carlos. And I love that moment. From that day, I've been a Real Madrid fan, just like my dad, especially admiring Zidane.
