The 100 count incandescent mini lights at Lowe’s went on sale for a dollar a box about a week before Christmas this year. I found this odd because the sales usually don’t begin until a day or two after Christmas. I noticed that for what ever reason, the sales started earlier and the stock cleared out quicker this year as compared to other years in the past. I luckily was able to get a bunch of incandescent lights before they sold out.
At the Lowe's by me, they were only $0.90! I bought like 8 of them. But that was after Christmas, so I should also check before next year. Thanks fot the info!
I have found that stores seem to be stocking less incandescent and more DEL than they used to. This year, Walmart had more DEL than incandescent. There were so little incandescent at Walmart, all the incandescent were sold out well before the sales. Up until this year, incandescent was still abundant at Walmart. This year was a LED takeover if you will. Looks like stores are moving towards all LED and no or very little incandescent.
I swear this is always the time of year if you want lights for cheap. Get them. Been doing this for several years now when Walmart, Menards, Home Depot, Lowes, etc... put them all on sale or cleared them off. Granted I always notice it's not as big as a collection as they started with and the things you try to find are mostly gone. LED lights aren't a problem for me personally but I still do notice the flicker. I swear over the time they all have been on sale after Christmas for the last 5 years, we have added almost 25 boxes of new lights. Still have the majority of those strings to this day. With incandescent bulbs being harder to find though, this is like the prime time you have to get them. Seems like a lot of stores like Menards and Home Depot are starting to get rid of these incandescent Christmas light bulbs now this year so seeing them in the next couple of years may get even harder. It's a shame they are going away when they are perfect in every way except trying to replace them. Only can blame the government because of the energy they consume. Things also in my Area cleared out faster than usual this year as well even in the Midwest and the sales also started a week early. However there was still a good amount of mini lights that were still available but the C9s were all mostly sold out. We still had a few stores that had the Incondessent Mini lights still but the C9s were sold out entirely. This makes me think that its possible that maybe the manufators of the Incondessent bulbs may now be discontinuing them which why many areas don't have a stock anymore. Looking today at the Home Depot Website, the Incondesent C9 light strings are not even listed anymore which may confirm my theory they may now be discontinued.
You can at least get incondecent lights in USA For 3christmases I wm trying to get 240V incondecent lights for my tree as well as some spare for my 2wire rope light and I cant find them anywhere in Europe Worse, when I ask for help on my local forums or reddit, people eather dont respond or question my sanity So anyone knows if anyone sells 240V rope light?

Interesting. It sure seemed to me like everything cleared out faster than usual. Next year I will start checking a week or two before Christmas.
