Timmy one of those actors you think will be a snobby lil prick but is actually cool af and quite humble. Good on him. I have been friiggin jones'n to see this movie and must have watched the trailer 1000 times
Gen X, here. My dad saw Dylan nearly 100 x. His favorite artist-from Greenwich Village, early days, to the end. ❤ this is the first movie trailer to give me chills
This is the first time I have ever seen Chalamet outside of a movie and he just seems like one of my little grad hires 😂 just a little sweet boy, but so impressive on screen, I am happy for him.
@@GwaiZaipersonally think he’s outstanding as both. His Dylan-from what I’ve watched-kicks serious ass. Right up there with Val Kilmer playing Jim Morrison and even above the Johnny cash biop imo
@ I will approach the film with zero judgment. He’s the rare actor I root for. But to reach the level of Riz Ahmed or Joaquin Phoenix… he has a ways to go for me.
To be fair to Dylan, many of the journalists in those days were rude &/or idiotic in their line of questioning, so I feel like he just put his guard up & left it there permanently.
I saw the movie and Tim did an amazing job. I am in my 50’s and absolutely love Dylan and have been listening to him since I was a teen. The movie is a must see for any Dylan or music fan. Well done Tim. So many other great performances as well!
this style of content will die one day too. itll just die for different reasons and because its weaknesses become apparent in the face of some new style. i agree with you 100% though. just trying to look at it from the point of view of someone who doesnt like it.
Timothee was so fantastic in Bones And All. One of my favorite movies, it seems so underrated and misunderstood. Ill be seeing Nosferatu on Christmas day because I'm a massive fan of Robert Eggers but this Bob Dylan flick is definitely one on my list.
Who wasn’t? I watched her sing back up on “The Weight” during The Last Waltz and fell in love with her. Everybody needs to see that performance. She is a gem.
''A Complete Unknown'' is getting good reviews. I really like Bob Dylan a real poet. The thing with Timothee Chalemet is every movie I have seen him in, he never seems to have the ability to shed his own skin, I always see Timothee Chalemet regardless of the character he's playing. I don't get that feeling when watching DeNiro, or Pacino and some others... I hope Chlalamet managed to shed his skin with this Dylan movie.
This interview made me like Timothy. Was not a fan, not for any particular reason. Maybe because I wasn't a fan of Dune. But I'll go see A Complete Unknown.
tip on learning more about something or someone: it's probably best to approach something new like bob dylan with fresh eyes and ears and not from the pov of mumble rap. The experience will be richer
The hoody design is GENIUS it's designed as something TC would wear as his and younger generations style would wear . It's emo vibes (is it still emo) with the emotionally enigmatic title of the movie fashionably laid out on the front in quadruple spacing ha.. BD likes his hoodies too it would be ultimate meta art meets life he wears that hoody that's about a movie all about him
Serious mummbler. He is not that reclusive. I just heard him perform this year in Virginia with the Outlaw Tour: Robert Plant, Alison Krauss, Willie Nelson Family Band. It was magical. Not gonna lie, when Dylan was on stage I went shopping for a concert shirt. I can respect his cotributions tho😅
What? you missed a good set. even if bob doesnt sing at all his band is always top notch. I went to the outlaw tour as well. Willie was sick for that show, his son did an amazing job taking over.
It’s gonna be great man. I’m a long time Dylan fan, and I’m super excited for the passion of TC and James Mangold who made Walk The Line about Johnny Cash. Its gonna be great.
12:45 I've been saying for years that everyone who ever covered a Dylan song played it better than him. It's half a joke, and half pointing out that his real strength is writing, not performing.
Timothy is straight up fanboying! Love this!!
Young, dumb and full of... Celsius
Totally, right!!!?! The entire video! So adorable and Theo seemed so uncomfortable with the praise
This guy seems surprisingly refreshing for a 'celeb'.
Theo is refreshing that Timothee guy is a dick
Timmy one of those actors you think will be a snobby lil prick but is actually cool af and quite humble. Good on him. I have been friiggin jones'n to see this movie and must have watched the trailer 1000 times
pushing 50, grew up with my parents records, Dylan fan! these two got a killer vibe together

I think his authenticity is perfectly suited to our times. I like him as a person more than as an actor, but that makes me root for him.
@@GwaiZaipersonally think he’s outstanding as both. His Dylan-from what I’ve watched-kicks serious ass. Right up there with Val Kilmer playing Jim Morrison and even above the Johnny cash biop imo

Not much has changed most journos just suck in most media
Fascinating: Timothee explaining how Susie Rotolla and Dylan’s was the only relationship he viewed as not transactional.
❤
You earn every view. Your content is not just good, it's inspirational. Stay humble!

Is this a bot? Curious.
@@KatenJace yes, duh.
Just saw the movie, outstanding. Oscar worthy.
7:07 Theo quick with them lmfao
Genius joke just thrown in.
Timmy seems so grown up here
He’s 28 now
Yeah you guys must go way back🤣😂
Damn, I had to check my playback speed to make sure it wasn’t bumped up. They’re both talking so fast. Lol
i’m suprised theo could keep up. and that’s not a diss just funny to watch him speak at north east speed he’s usually at a much more southern pace
@TheGuardian_TM me too !! 🤣🤣
I saw the movie and Tim did an amazing job. I am in my 50’s and absolutely love Dylan and have been listening to him since I was a teen. The movie is a must see for any Dylan or music fan. Well done Tim. So many other great performances as well!
Hey I went and saw Xmas day and loved every bit of it. Ol Timmy did a great job at playing the master.
Apparently, these two, talk fast, when nervous.
Glad you’re on the case Sherlock!
This format is so much better than TV, old media is such a farce.
truuff!

"Network Programming" ...call it for what it IS!!!
It’s not much different
What? That's like comparing movies to pet training
haven't seen the movie yet, but when I see Val Kilmer, I still see Jim Morrison. I sure this kid done great, seems to be a grounded and chill af dude
Theo is the coolest guy on earth.
"No Direction Home" was the only Bob Dylan movie that needed to made
bob dylan might be a little after theos dads time
Bro was probably already in his fifties when he started is career lmao
Chalamet is ADHD personified and that makes him relatable af 😂
Do u know how they harvest baby oil?
That, and took wayyyyy too much adhd medication
Took too much medication?what a goofy thing to say.its not polite to infer things of that nature.rude even.
What an impressive, articulate young actor! He gives me hope for Hollywood
Theo is the best interviewer out there
wow, that's interesting...
Rogan
“Hehhh” “That was a good Bob Dylan” 😂
Dylan is so good, that you already know that this movie won't do him justice
Yeah if you are so negative. Film is storytelling just respect the artist
Curiosity
@@kerrypickens8594 or could just read a book
go see it and judge for yourself
@@mikepizziferro8474I agree 100%.
Can't wait to see this film. We're not getting it in the UK until the middle of January 😫.
I think if they made a movie about Chris Cornell Tim would b the best to play his part
Lol don't look alike at all
Timothee was so fantastic in Bones And All. One of my favorite movies, it seems so underrated and misunderstood. Ill be seeing Nosferatu on Christmas day because I'm a massive fan of Robert Eggers but this Bob Dylan flick is definitely one on my list.
Joan doesn’t have anything kind to say about Dylan these days
Bob Dylan was in love with Mavis Staples. He asked her to marry him.
Who wasn’t? I watched her sing back up on “The Weight” during The Last Waltz and fell in love with her. Everybody needs to see that performance. She is a gem.
Happy Birthday Timothee! Saw the movie today. It was awesome.
I am older, but I believe Bob Dylan is the most amazing artist/philosopher/genius human being of ALL time!!!
What philosophies did he espouse?
Greatest songwriter of the 20th century
When Timothy was talking about Dylan and Theo still thought he was talking about Kodak LOL
We can't wait to see it. It is the most exciting thing happening in decades.
Comparing method acting to a step-dad is fucking genius hahahahahaha...it's so true lol
It took 4 or 5 years to make and was about 4 to 5 years of Dylan's life. I wonder if that helped in the making of it? The movement of time!
Dude ever since the show shameless I always thought they’re gunna get the dude that plays lip Gallagher Jeremy Allen White to play Bobby D
Same dude a lot of us did
@ yeah they have the same JEW face
Just saw it, probably in my top 5 movies of all time, great movie!!
Bob Dylan was a hobo as a young man and one of the greatest song writers of all time. He wrote thousands of songs. Many covered today.
Lol he was never a hobo he created a whole mythology for the gullible media lol
Chalamet, you did good!!
Dylan is a master of the arts
Damn, wish I'd been handed life on a platter

IGNATZ ON THEO VON??? WOW!
timothee shouldve given theo a marlon-brandon-on-larry-king-kiss right away.
He really is the first mumble rapper 😂
For your bio pic You could play an Allman brother
They finally got another Bob Dylan!
He comes across very well
Mr Beast catching strays lol
did this dude realize that bob dylan is still alive lmao
Nobody will say it but Dewey Cox had a lot to do with the success of BD
Why Do I Care About this Kid ? Something About him Is So Genuine ! Im A Fan .
Playing a guy who is playing a guy .. lol
This interview made me like Timothy. Was not a fan, not for any particular reason. Maybe because I wasn't a fan of Dune. But I'll go see A Complete Unknown.
Tim looks so much like my son it's scary. I remember the 1st time I seen him in a movie it was "The King" n was like WTF. My son's a bit tanner lol
Nah, It's Twitter.
tip on learning more about something or someone: it's probably best to approach something new like bob dylan with fresh eyes and ears and not from the pov of mumble rap. The experience will be richer
His performance in Willy Wonka was disgraceful
I’m in love with him I am a big fan sing and sing writer I sing bob Dylan

Just saw this movie. Chalamet is an incredible talent. Really disappears into the role
This is dumb. No one should ever try to do Dylan until he's been dead for 300 years. If you don't understand that, don't be reading this.
I’ll give the kid credit, he’s a good actor. But he annoys the shit outta me haha
The only one that goes deep is Lee "The Christ Killer" Syatt
I know somebody in Timmy’s team was against him coming onto this show but tbh, if he’s a fan…let him.
It’s not that deep
wu tang..

Adderall
Great conversation between two people who don't really understand Dylan 👍
Tim spent 5 years studying Dylan.
Dylan hustled the folkies in the Village to the limit until he realized he'd sold his soul for fame.
"I can speak about him endlessly." Ok, start talking...
Is he the Shia Labeuf of his time lol
Lisan al Gaib!
Talking about a selfish plug, homeboy rocking a hoodie with the name of the movie he's talking about. I'm not mad at it but still.
I will never watch this movie
Theo fell off 1000 views in 8 mins 😔
I don't get the joke, he is bigger than ever 😂
@ that’s the joke the fact he had timothee on there means he’s big 🤣
I can only imagine how bad the film is gonna be
It’s gonna be great man. I’m a long time Dylan fan, and I’m super excited for the passion of TC and James Mangold who made Walk The Line about Johnny Cash. Its gonna be great.
i did not enjoy this talk. this kid seems hopped up on adoral
WTF is she doing with this guy
whst do you mean
It definitely a shameful self plug.. you wasted no time.
Jimmy Fallon gonna get Tim to do a song
2nd view, going to see this foresure

Hendrix took his singing style from Bob
Pass. Dewey cox did it better.
