Waiting eagerly to visit this beautiful city by train from Agartala. The Satabdi train goes to Khongsang from Agartala three days in a week and return the same day. It takes only 6 hrs. To reach Imphal it will probably take 7-8 hrs and not more. Unbelievable! 😊
Indeed a boon to the travellers to escape all those 14-18 hrs of torture while travelling by bus plus all those nauseous feeling.. And if you do visit, don't forget to visit Loktak lake , it's completely mesmerizing
@@LBVLOG definitely. I read about the lake 37 yrs back when I was in school. Azad Hind Fouz entered up to Mairang in Manipur. Two Queens of the Royal family of Tripura were also from Manipur. The Queens brought along with her so many jewels (manipuries). In Tripura large number of manipuri live. Another fact is that when Rabindranath Tagore visited the Royal court , he was mesmerized by the style of Rasa leela dance and requested the king to send him manipuri dancer. The king then sent two teachers, Guru Buddhimanta Singh and another i forgot his name, to Santiniketan at West Bengal. Bengali classical dance 'Rabindra Nritya' is heavily influenced by the style of manipuri Raasa leela dance. Manipur attracts me a lot. I think the very name of the state has some magnetic power.
