- My first railfanning trip after completing my first year of college! I came back to my usual spot at Halethorpe to see MARC's evening rush hour trains. I saw an interesting mix of traction on the commuter trains, with HHP-8s, SC-44 Chargers, MP-36s and borrowed Amtrak ACS-64s all making appearances.
Also, this is my first time trying out captions for each train, what do you think? Let me know in the comments!
Ahhh good ol halthrope.. always a classic spot on the first south stretch of the NEC
I live close to the station so it’s always my go-to spot to railfan
Hello from Caleb Trains22, nice video. Also, I'm heading up there on Wendesday May 29th in the morning.
Why does MARC put 2 locomotives in front of small trains?
DARTrider reliability issues, better acceleration, equipment moves etc
@@JBtrainman That makes sence
0:13 That Marc Train Is A Local but it turns into an express
How would you have felt if MARC had purchased ACS-64s instead of keeping their HHP-8s?
If they didn’t refurbish the HHP-8s I would’ve loved for them to get replaced by ACS-64s instead of Chargers.
@@JBtrainman I think the Chargers are really cool but the ACS-64s are still a little cooler.
Caleb Trains22 yeah, ACS-64s are my favorite American loco haha
Is MARC leasing that acs64 because ive seen it twice at bwi station
MARC is leading ACS-64s 627 and 669
For what reason?
Conrail Gp30 the HHP-8s are being refurbished right now so the ACS-64s are filling in for them
Ok! Thanks for the info.👍
@@JBtrainman oh wait they are? oh thought they got retired..are the sc44 replacing MP36?
