The King knew what would happen when Catherine made her first appearance back, and he wanted to be there to support her when she did. It was so kind and generous of the King to do this for his daughter-in-law Catherine. It shows how much love he genuinely has for her.
It was good that her first appearance was at an event that allowed her some privacy and distance from the public. She got to test her strength where it was possible for her to sit down when she felt she needed to.

I’m battling cancer at the ripe old age of 85, and my life is nearing the end and I tear up at the slightest thing. The lovely Princess would not be human if she didn’t tear up after feeling the adulation shown her on this historical event. What she has endured the last few years shows how strong she is and she is so young. My prayers are with her, her children and husband and the King of course not forgetting all the Royal family as well.

Trooping the Colour was spectacular and outstanding!! Only the British know how to put on an awesome event for the King’s official birthday. Princess Catherine looked stunning and the 3 children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis such beautiful children.

What I noticed when they were standing on the balcony, her attention was very much on all 3 children. Really touched my heart. That's why we love this lady so very much. 🦘❤
She is a lovely gentle soul. So delicate and fragile. I have prayed for her every day and asked God to heal and protect her. I’m not surprised she became a bit tearful after the balcony. She was overwhelmed I’m sure. The amount of time it took for her to have her hair done, makeup applied and dressed was extremely exhausting for her. Although she sat throughout all the preparations and people worked on her…still it’s exhausting even though she doesn’t lift a finger. It took a lot of courage and strength to attend Trooping the Colour. Now she must rest. God bless and keep you dear Princess. We love you❤️🙏🏼

Having been treated with radiation for cancer, the one thing you CRAVE is normality, because once your return to the schedule of life, even going back to work (with half a head of hair) you don't feel you are on the path of recovery. It was. Wonderful to see catherine and the children and the rest of the family yesterday the trooping of the colour was magnificent from the guards the wonderful horses the lovely mascot and it was great to see the king looking so good a lovely day ❤❤❤

Her dignity, grace & care for others put her well ahead of those other two, and this is why she is so dearly loved.
I think the King, from what I understand, has always considered Catherine the daughter he never had. Fine choice sir, fine choice indeed. Beautiful, classy, graceful, intelligent and very much her own person but without self-promotion or ego. Gotta love her. I'm sure William and the kids were on hand to wipe her tears. I imagine they pampered her like crazy once they got home.

My brother battled a very aggressive cancer at the age of 21, lost the battle at 23. I suspect Catherine's is a pretty serious one. This takes alot out of a human being, and cancer patients are so courageous. She has her children to motivate her. Everyone needs to have grace with this, and be patient. We need her to be well, to raise those children, but also to be the Queen when William is King. (Hopefully she will be in remission, and stay there. Cancer is not the flu, nor the cold, it does return and claim lives). We need to give her time, and help her be strong for her family, and the country.) Wonderful day Neil. As a cancer survivor (🤞🏻), I found both King Charles and Princess Catherine very brave. Cancer is an insidious disease and for active people it’s very difficult to slow down and take care of themselves. God Bless them both.

Yes. In my opinion, it was the most touching image of the day. A brave 75 year old man, suffering from cancer, undergoing treatment while working too hard, stood to attention in the pouring rain, because he loves his Country. It really is that simple.

It was so lovely seeing Catherine yesterday….very emotional for the public as well….her beautiful smile just turned that rainy and windy day into the most beautiful sunny day….im so happy her babies are so sweet and supportive….they definitely have their mummy’s sweetness and warmth…and obviously their pa’s too….i just adore the Wales family…and it was so wonderful seeing the royal family united by each others side on the balcony…HappyBirthday your majesty 👑👑👑👑👑

Thank you, Neil, for your insight in this story. I'm a cancer survivor & had 2 rounds of chemo treatment. I know the determination, strength & fortitude it took our dear POW to attend today. Her dignity, grace & care for others put her well ahead of those other two, and this is why she is so dearly loved.
I think the King, from what I understand, has always considered Catherine the daughter he never had. Fine choice sir, fine choice indeed. Beautiful, classy, graceful, intelligent and very much her own person but without self-promotion or ego. Gotta love her. I'm sure William and the kids were on hand to wipe her tears. I imagine they pampered her like crazy once they got home.

And as for people knocking the King - well I wonder how they'd feel being his age, struggling to come back from cancer and standing in the pouring rain taking the salute! He is his mother's son absolutely!

My brother battled a very aggressive cancer at the age of 21, lost the battle at 23. I suspect Catherine's is a pretty serious one. This takes alot out of a human being, and cancer patients are so courageous. She has her children to motivate her. Everyone needs to have grace with this, and be patient. We need her to be well, to raise those children, but also to be the Queen when William is King. (Hopefully she will be in remission, and stay there. Cancer is not the flu, nor the cold, it does return and claim lives). We need to give her time, and help her be strong for her family, and the country.) Wonderful day Neil. England really put on a show today for all of us around the world.

I'm so sorry to hear about your brother xx Your words are so true. All patients need to be given time and space to recover as best they are able and give them a fighting chance. People want us to be well of course but sometimes there is a fine line between well meant concern and pressure.

As a cancer survivor (🤞🏻), I found both King Charles and Princess Catherine very brave. Cancer is an insidious disease and for active people it’s very difficult to slow down and take care of themselves. God Bless them both.

My favorite moment of Trooping the Colour was when the Wales children stepped from the carriage then lined up and waited for their mum, the Princess of Wales, to step out before turning and walking into the building with her. I have quite a few "favorite moments" from TTC but that one really stands out.
I missed that, must have another look.
