The nylon happened to be there befor installing the pond so it was a coincidence. Its not a requirement to growing azollla. The only important element is to place a shade on top

Hi, do you refill the pond with same amount of water every once in a while or do you fill it less water then the first time ?
Hello.
I refill based on the condition it's in. Eg when I see algae starting to grow and any other time when I see a problem. Recently something pluck my dam liner and I had to change the water as I was looking for why the water was draining.
If no problem, after every two months I remove 3/4 then after 6 months I remove it all.
I also use it as fertilizer to my vegetables so when there is no problem, I draw the water and irrigate the veggies and refill based on how much I used.

How does it affect productivity in layers?
Azolla increases egg production by enabling the chicken lay regularly. It also reduces reliance on commercial feeds. You will not replace 100% but you will see a reduction in the amount feeds you usually use.

Yes you can use it but it has a high nitrogen amount that makes algae grow in the azolla pond.
If you can find cow waste, it's the best. But if not, you can use that of chicken moderately
how many kg of manure to liters of water is the right mix?
It depends on the size of the pond. Eg in a 8m*3m pond, I use five buckets of manure and water I fill up to half of the pond.
