To the thing with painting dogs. Its actually not that uncommon with service dogs or dogs who are worth a lot, to color them with petfriendly dye, so they are recognizable and its not that easy to kidnap and resell them :)

They do make ethical dog dye that is safe and used by many groomers. Unfortunately animals DO get painted in dog fighting rings though 😢.

There actually is dog safe fur dyes! A lot of people with service and emotional support animals tend to dye their dogs ears and tails to make them more noticeable! It also helps so they don’t get stolen, having any sort of identifiable marks helps so the dogs aren’t robbed or stolen! Definitely a huge help for service animals
