Listen, I love my Apple Watches, but I have always been impressed by how Amazfit keeps coming out with quality smartwatches with great battery life at half the cost of an Apple Watch. The Amazfit GTR Mini is no exception to this.
The GTR Mini packs a TON of features into a thin and light design with 2-week battery life and a beautiful AMOLED display. It also has a lot of health features like an optical heart rate sensor, blood oxygen sensor, onboard GPS, stress sensor, menstrual cycle tracking, and more.
Overall, for the price, you can't go wrong with this Amazfit GTR Mini.
Thanks for watching!

Can you live with no mic or speakers for taking calls or voice assistance?
Yes. Finally watch without mic and speakers 🙏
I prefer longer battery life.
yes
Well we did for centuries, so...
Gotta give props, great review man. Just found your channel. Feel like I can really trust you actually used the thing in contrast to other reviews on similar products. Been looking for a cheaper smartwatch and you seem to have just the content. That’s a subscription from me!
Thank you for this video. Btw are you able to store music on this watch? I don't like to take my phone while I go for running outside
Excellent review. I’ve had a range of smart watches and eventually ended up using an Apple Watch because I use the apps on the watch extensively. However, I only get just over 2 days (there are a couple of things to do to extend battery life).
I was going to be away for 9 days without access to charging and wanted something that could show the time, had a haptic alarm, a timer and step count. I decided to get an Amazfit. I had never used this Chinese brand, but reviews and price looked good. After 9 days, I still had 50% charge (much of the time the watch was in my pocket and not connected to a phone). The watch is very light and the software, though limited, is very much like a cut down version of Apple’s watchOS so it was quick to get used to.
When I got back I switched back to my Apple watch as I use apps and features that just aren’t there on the Amazfit, and those additional features on the Apple Watch significant changes Howitt use my phone. However, I’d recommend the Amazfit for people who just need something simple as an activity tracker and long battery life.
Nice review. When we are doing some running cycling activity then how can we see the clock? i mean recoded should be done in the backgound
should i get this gtr mini or gtr 3
Any options out there like this with a ceramic rear housing (like apple, but not expensive with bad battery) instead of plastic housing the GTR Mini has?
Should I get the GTR 2 (new version) or the GTR mini?
Hi. What screen protector can you recommend for this watch. Unfortunately there is 2.5d glass so there is no easy to find good screen protector with no bubbles when is fitted. Regards 😀
I am looking into this to replace my Fitbit Charge5, cheap materials, and my Samsung Galaxy Watch6, too big. Will this fit that happy medium?
Bonjour,
Peut on répondre aux notifications depuis la montre ?
Great video review! The selling point is definitely the design
Thanks for watching!
Any Strava integration? Start and pause runs without a phone nearby?
Is it durable and compatible with iPhone? Can I play footbal with it without breaking?
Thanks Dad. Gonna buy this one.
Hope you enjoy it!
Good review
Before I had an Apple watch I had an Amazfit Bip. It was a very basic watch but I liked it a lot. Cheap, light, reliable and with a long battery life.. they don't seem to have changed their product strategy too much.
I think this would make a good first smart watch for someone not too bothered about all the features of other watches. Will get the job done for a lot of people I think.
Agreed on all you said
Always on display?
i was hoping it has a 38-40mm watch face.
Hello Dad.O. Thank you for your review. Is there audible notifications on the watch along with vibration? Thanks.
No there isn't. No speaker on this guy
Not on the watch, but I was getting notification cues via my headphones while I worked out.
Although it says about withstanding 50 meters water pressure on the website, 5 atm(atmospheric pressure) is actually 40 meters of water resistance
Good call out
Can I change Font and UI Scaling size? Does it support Text to Speech(Talkback/VoiceOver)?
I don’t believe so. No mic or speaker for text to speech.
Nice review Aaron! Does it have interval training feature for the outdoor running mode?
Thank you! It actually died on me (won't turn on) so I'm not sure. Sorry about that
@@dad.0 the watch died? Oh no. I just bought one.
@@KellyODo is it good?
What I don't see mentioned anywhere and the most important thing to me is: does that watch has internal storage that I can use like the GTR 4? Can I connect my bluetooth earphone and listen some music when I run so I don't need to bring my smartphone?
Yep ,works fine with my bluetooth Jlabs. But not sure about storage. My watch is only 2 days old.
@@Dajjer Do you know if this watch stores music?
No@@artur8441
No @@artur8441
Hi. This watch has the screen always on mode? Always on in normal quality and brightness.
It does
It's 326 ppi
Super review
Dad it is highly priced if you compare with gtr 2 with calling function and may be you have not seen other good under 100$ trackers with similar n may be better features… price is over extra even u can get galaxy watch 4 at 130$ max
You are right about the GTR 2. But, if you don't need mic/speakers, you can save yourself some money. Tracking accuracy gets shotty below $100 IMO
@@dad.0 brother but non-calling should be effectively priced nowadays even galaxy watch 4, honor watch are there at 100$ cap
Negative 1... that frees up time to make youtube videos. 😅
Tell me about it
Worst warranty in the industry. The company don't honor their 1 year warranty even if after 6 months of purchase. Horrible!
If it is having a menstrual cycle count, then why are you wearing it?😂😂😂😂
😂
Do not fall for it and do not buy this, they have good marketing their website is great but GTR mini is awful watch, also could say the same for GTR 3. They look fine, but funtionallity is not good enough, gimmicky
That's odd. I brought the watch in February 2024, and 2 months later, I am completely happy. Heart rate is accurate, GPS accurate, I even wear in the steam room and no problems. What issues have u had?
@@donxman3365 How do you know it is accurate (HR)? I experienced 80 HR while cycling 30 km/h flat ground while my real heart rate was 150 at that time. Watch was off a lot of times by a big margin. If you found it good than good for you but I don’t recommend it.
I wanted to add that step counter algorithm will add steps even if you are in still position. GPS precision is okay. Battery is good. I returned mine after 1 week
@stefankaric3432 I know the HR to be accurate because I also have a fitbit on my other wrist... and when I do the exercise bike and measure my HR.... the bike and both watches give me the same HR.
Gtr mini has less watch faces too
