I just watched the film today, the film may not capture what the animated version had, but what I like best in this live action is the ending compared to the original animated one...because the elephants, Dumbo and Mrs. Jumbo are granted *freedom*
I still think about this endings years later. I prefer this to the original. I loved how you didn't expect it until you saw the jungle in the first shot. You were rooting for something like this from the beginning . ❤
I love this ending scene version. So true. The elephants are wild animals and they must live in their natural residences. I'm so sad after reading true story of Dumbo (his mom dead and he dead by accident) 😢😢
I like the original a lot since dumbo is my favorite elephant movie and I was disappointed when they canceled his sequel but I understand where their coming across with this reimagining, with the moral that all creatures deserve freedom in their lives, even animals
Mrs. Jumbo and Dumbo are given a private coach on the train, and the crows wave goodbye to the elephants as they travel away. *Dumbo 1941* Mrs. Jumbo and Dumbo are reunite with a herd of wild elephants who applaud their newest members as he flies with joy for their future to come. *Dumbo 2019*
He was; his mother was not. They may have been returned to the area she was captured in. Also, wild herds usually accept other elephants from outside the herd, so even if this isn't her birth family, it's likely they'll be fine. You can see they return her greeting and they definitely approve of Dumbo.

Realistically, this is stupid because Dumbo was born in captivity and therefore would have zero skills to survive in the wild Asian jungle. He’d get hunted down and killed by a tiger or something and wouldn’t know how to defend himself or anything

Heavily agreed. This was the best change the remake did, emotionally and storywise.
Dumbo flyes free.
Mrs. Jumbo and Dumbo the asian elephants are back where they belong, living free and in the wild!
I get the reference
@@ajtv8050 aw heck yeah
YES!
Wild Kratts style
This is why I love the Dumbo remake more than the original, it’s because of the ending, Dumbo and Mrs Jumbo get to be free and live in the wild.
This one also wasn’t culturally or racially insensitive like the original
I agree I love it better
0:16 me too
What happends in original
I see that they’ve shared similarities with Khan Kluay and Nuan as well.
0:48 this is my favorite moment when, elephants 🐘 are impressed with dumbo flying.

Save the elephants we still have time!! NOW!!
The wild herd of elephants never saw Dumbo flying in the jungle before.
I like this ending
Le dessin animé qui m a fait le plus pleurer avec Bambi .
Quelle belle fin dans ce remake.
I think The Jungle Book 2016 and Dumbo 2019 are both connected because the elephants in both remakes have Asian Elephants

Yep Dumbo will eventually cross jungle paths with Mowgli Baloo and Bagheera
