How powder fully embrace becoming jinx
I can't get over that ending choice Jinx had to make and the ending. Wow! For season 2 I hope that Caitlin and Vi relationship does blossom, we find out the aftermath of that explosion by the Council and also where Hextech goes from here cuz it looks like he was not going to make weapons with it but after that ending he might change his mind.......maybe. Also I didn't like Mel Medarda cuz I thought she was manipulating my dude Jayce but as soon as her mother came in I started to warm up to her a bit and really dislike her mom.
You should do a top ten list of arcane moments that were league Easter eggs!! It would be cool for league fans to see and for non players to get some insight!!!

@@altarofshadows not really, it was just really slow compared to the first and third since it has to serve as both a ‘where are day now’ from act 1 and setting up act 3.

Best thing about that scene is comparing it to the first scene in episode 6 where he couldn't keep up with his toy ship and then in the running scene you see him running along side real boats
Arcane was supposed to be a love letter to League fans, an authentic representation of the characters we've known for years, but it also became an entry point for newer fans, which is just as awesome.

The moment when Jinx lights up the blue flare on top of the building and the music kicks in will forever be ingrained in my memory. Just gorgeous.

I may disagree with watchmojo at a lot of the other moments but having that moment be #1 is something I will definitely agree with.
Calling her perfect solidified her as Jinx. It maid all of her past mistakes vanish and removed any Powder she had left in her.

Arcane has some of the deepest, most complicated relationships I've ever seen on any animation series. The show prevents you from taking a permanent side because of the characters involved, and how their individual differences affect the whole plot itself. Such a masterful piece of work Riot made.
Any series really, that they did this in 9 episodes just speaks to the love Riot and the animation studio put into this series.

My personal fave was ekko and jinx duel. Epic, yet tragic at the same time. It stings even more if you watched the music video of "Enemy". The real definition of a relationship going downhill due to wrong things in wrong times
It’s definitely one of mine. It’s so well presented and so damn tragic. It also directly leads to jinx getting her pink eyes…
It's also a reference to Ekkos in game ability to travel to the immediate past. Everything we saw while the song was playing (I believe) was Ekko playing things out in his head. And then it reminds back to when the song begins playing and everything flows like normal with a different outcome.
What also adds to this scene is that Ekko actually had a crush on Powder/Jinx

meh silco and jinxs final moment and that ending scene is alot more tragic. we barely had any interactions with powder and ekko meanwhile jinx and silco we had tons of
Holy crap I just realized! Viktor stopped Jayce from suiciding and helped him during his depressing times and Jayce kinda did the same for Viktor. It went full circle!!!

Jinx Vs. Ekko was #1 for me. I know it's not necessarily a pivotal story moment, but in terms of pushing the boundaries that are defining Arcane, nothing else came close. The animation, the sound design and the STORYTELLING with practically no dialogue that they managed to pack into two minutes was just amazing.

@@bones6896 NGL I was impressed by how they managed to incorporate it (rap music). Not a huge Ekko fan in general though no. Mostly I was impressed by how they managed to fuse style and substance with the callback to their childhoods and the contrast with the present.

YES, it's so breath-taking, Arcane shouldn't be physically possible, but here it is. Also, I love Jinx's voice actor, she's incredible. Her Jinx/Powder voice isn't even her natural voice, but an accent. She somehow manages to make her voice strain (to show Jinx's mental state) without it sounding fake or offensive. It blows my mind. I'm obsessed, Arcane is too good and now I can't wait for S2. Ig I want the quality to be just as good (maybe even better) so I don't mind if they take their time, the storylines are so in-depth and we can wait, just so it won't let us down. lol sorry I'm rambling- XD
I think my favorite has to be Silco talking to Vander statue. The realization that he has become him was just so poetic.
Honestly the moment Silco finally understood why Vander changed is one of my top moments. So sure of himself and how he was doing things. Understanding and manipulating his allies and enemies, then to all of a sudden be handed the thing he's always wanted but now having to decide between that he cherishes. You always got a feel that Silco cared for Jinx but was also always presented with that out of "oh he's just using her though" or "It's cause she's important for his plans." so fan were allowed to draw their own conclusions, the extent of their relationship. But for when he's sitting at the statue of Vander (honestly a surprising thing to find in the city Silco ran) experiencing and understanding what Vander went through... that moment told me that he truly cared for Jinx. And that as sure as he was that could win their independence, he was sure he could take it without risking Jinx.
I was honestly so happy his last words were so sweet. He could have totally said something manipulative at the end in spite. But his love for Jinx was the last thing on his mind. Though evil, he did understand Jinx turmoil and was very much a father to her as Vander was for Vi.
I'm really surprised with how well written his character is. Never thought i'm gonna cry for him holy shit
it's funny how we hated him for killing children and manipulating everyone but damn I would still defend his ass if other doubt Silco's love for Jinx.
I also found it surprising that he let a statue of Vander be built. It gives surprising insight into the complexity of his feelings for his former brother. It shows he honours the memory of someone he used to respect, and perhaps also mourns him (as I got the feeling when he stared at Vander's corpse, in something like bland shock, which may be why he also could see himself in Powder's grief).
I feel like love for jinx is the best way to put it yeah. He did not love Powder, which is who jinx ultimately is. He purposfully destroyed her and created a new person for his own benefit, what's not to love about that? Your own supersoldier that also plays family with you when no one else wants to - for obvious reasons.
jinx does say that silco didn't create her but that vi was at fault, which is an obvious lie but I thought I'd get ahead of the argument.
@@seth6082 So who did Silco embrace on that rainy night Vander died? Jinx or Powder? Whom did those hate-filled purple eyes belong to then when she glared at the camera at the end? Her trauma was her own actions and her sister's words.
Silco was obviously not an ideal father figure (enhancing her violent tendencies, "we'll show them"), but he genuinely comforted her that night. He did love who his daughter was, no matter that she was a jinx to his operations and eventually his dream, or that she killed him defending her sister. He loved her unconditionally. Unlike Vi I think, who walked away when her sister crossed a line. Neither approach might be a good or bad thing. Perhaps a kid should be smacked when they disobey and provoke a catastrophe. But both are genuine I think in their care for Jinx/Powder. But Vi won't sacrifice her crush or her morality for her sister. While Silco was willing to sacrifice anything for her.
The scene of Sky trying to help Viktor and losing her life deserved an Honourable mention I think. Otherwise everything I loved was on the list. Arcane was perfectly done. Does such a great job giving a show for fans of the game and for new watchers and should be the show to teach all others how to do it. Can't wait to see more of it!
Kind of doubling down on this, but seeing Viktor run was up there for me. Scenes like that usually have a smile on the character's face, but we watch him run and his expression tells

Yes! I was thinking the same thing during honorable mentions because I knew it wouldn't be number one.
I think it's because sky was more of a background character not even a side character. She's only been on screen twice and only spoke once. I'm not surprised she wasn't mentioned. She's one of the glossed over deaths.
Her death reminds me of how Tabia(Xerath's love interest in his League Judgment based off his old lore) died. But I am sure, like Xerath in his old lore, he will still push through..

Jinx telling vi, "I thought maybe you could love me like you used to ... even though I'm different," was the best scene, as she ultimately leaves her past behind, and embraces herself as Jinx. Someone vi could never love, but someone that Silco gave up his dream for. Her killing her father, no matter how fucked up the relationship was, but in the end hearing the affirmation she always wanted, that she was "perfect." The music in this scene is also amazing, with every line in the song hitting hard as it relates to everything that happened in this first season.
"Someone vi could never love," That is some grade a horseshit right there. At no point does Vi show anything but love for her sister. You can love someone completely and still not want them to be a homicidal psychotic. As for the rest. Jinx is not well, full stop, she isn't just "different" she is sick. Silco did love and care for her. He also enabled her worse instincts and traits most of her life. He was an absolutely horrible father.

@@harrywilliamson7043 you are wrong, Vi only talked about finding Powder in Jinx, never about loving the "new powder". All you could see in Vi's face when she looked at jinx was fear. Silco was right if Vi couldn't have Powder back she wouldn't be able to love her.

Personaly for me the best scene was when Viktor augmented his leg and decided to test it.
Seeing him running faster than ships in the background is nice touch, considering that he was strugling to chase after toy ship earlier in his life.
Also it's first step for GLORIOUS EVOLUTION, we want to see.
Viktor is just very interesting character with whom I can relate to some degree.

There wasn't going to be peace anyway... Silco not giving Jinx for his dream is the best moment of season 1. He finally understood why Vander didn't gave Vi.

@The Man I think most of them survived because I think Mel is a mysterious person and probably knows magic or something similar, Mel will probably become a new champion in league. Her back part of her clothes lit up and before the rocket hits you can see her face expression changes even though the rocket is not visible from her angle, Jayce has a bigger chance of seeing the rocket but his face stays the same. Mel also turns her head towards the glass right before the rocket hits which indicates that she could sense it or sense incoming danger. You can't see her face expression change in this video because that clip is not here but if you search up the final scene in Arcane and fast forwards almost to the end you can see it.

For those who don't know much about League Noxus is a Neighboring Nation of Piltower (the City where Arcane take place) Noxus is a warmongering nation their goal is to conquer/liberate all of Runetera (league world)

When we didn’t know if Sevika was gonna betray Silco but she stayed loyal and killed Finn. Even Silco was scared that was his last moment, the tension there was absolutely amazing
I never expected this show to be such a masterpiece, season 2 has some big shoes to fill
Season 1 and 2 where made at the same time. Season 2 has already been made they're just waiting for money and hype to rack up with Season 1. I think Season 2 will be just as amazing, due to them having made them in the same time frame, Same creators and people have worked on both seasons. Season 3 is being worked on right now, thats the season we should worry about.

A thing most people I’ve seen miss, with that moment where Vi kept telling Jinx to remember who she is, Silco understood that it was actually hurting her instead of helping. He recognizes that Jinx’s past is something that actively harms her, something that Vi who can only see her as Powder fails to recognize. This is why Silco fires at Vi, and it also circles back to Vi’s story of imaginary monsters.
I agree and also think that she never made a choice to shoot Silco and that she did it as a defense response to someone pulling a gun out while she was panicking.
Yes, but also it was Vi who used to constantly give her reassurance that her uniqueness is her advantage. This also built Powder's personality as Jinx and the self esteem in this particular personality. I think that both Vi and Silco had huge impact on building Jinx's indivituality and they both had positive as well as negative impact on her. Jinx and Vi were chasing after each other just to find each other
Yes but also he feared he might lose Jinx, and he gave up on Zaun for her. He was desperate. Jinx actually subconsciously chose to save Vi because deep deep down she is still her sister.

This show was just so damn good that i couldn't pinpoint just 10 moments, i enjoyed every single bit of the series, just left us on an insane cliffhanger.
The same for the characters. I just feel like every character deserves at least top3
I can pinpoint 10 moments easily: episode 9, episode 8, episode 7, episode 6, episode 5, episode 4, episode 3, episode 2, episode 1, and episode 3 again because it was the best episode.

Yeah with jinx now the loose cannon with fish bones ekko needs his zero drive but I think he and heimer are gonna have a luke Skywalker and yoda moment to make the zero drive and I wonder if zilean will appear or a chronomancer. And I wonder who will win round 2. And strangely enough I could ship jinx and ekko now that silco is dead are they still enemies.
I like that when Vi pulls up her shield she looks around confused for a second like "wait this thing can do that?"
Especially since she was never really good at blocking or rather would "block with her face" as Ekko so eloquently put it.
How is Viktor running not here? Come on you atleast shouldve put it in the honourable mentions.
Or when Jace stops Victor from suiciding after his assitant died. Which also has the best quote:

It made me tear up watching my boy victor run. It must be in the top 5 atleast.
That scene has so many meanings behind it. Him finally surpassing the boat in the horizon while he couldn't catch it as a young boy. The progress of science that no longer outlives him but he can outlive. It's such an awesome scene

Milo,claggor and vander's death and vi leaving powder was the saddest thing in the entire series.

This has really exceeded my expectations. My emotions has been like a roller coaster after getting to know this series.
When Heimerdinger got voted off I was so mad. Seeing him and Ekko starting to work together towards the end was amazing though cause both my favorite characters were able to chill and do science for actual progress
Silco getting something more precious than his life long dream. Him admitting it to Vander...his arc going full circle. Top notch character writing. Best show this season
No "viktor running" scene? Its probably my favourite moment even though there is a ton of great ones.
When he was a child he couldn't chase his toy boat cuz he cant out run the boat, but in the viktor running scene you can see he out ran the boat in the background. not sure if you already know it but it is so stunning when I found out.

Bruhh Victor's specific scene at the riverside is so powerful as he runs through his so called progress which eventually lead a tragic events to him should've include into your lists, that's a worthy of a recognition
its also poetic. his flashback show him being outran by the toy boat he built. but at that moment when he runs, he outruns all the boat on the pier. showing the progress he achieved
Viktor is not so innocent.
He kept a secret hidden... actually about 3.
One he was sick.
Two he taking the downside drug from sting.
Three. He is changing his body.
4. He killed someone.

What I love in the show is they don't rush to introduce characters from the game but they took their time to develop them even the characters aren't from the game (Silco) to dive deep of each characters' lore. Such a good series

The finale was perfect, the undercity was just about to get it's sovereignty and she jinxed it.
12:00 Watchmojo clearly doesn't understand Silco's character. He does not take Powder in because he is ''opportunistic'', he takes her in because he sees himself in Powder, which is why he looks at Vander when Powder says ''She left me''. Just like Vander abandoned and betrayed Silco, so did Vi do that to Powder. When she says ''She is not my sister'' it mirrors Silco and Vander being brothers.
I think it was both actually. I think in the beginning there was definitely opportunism there, as well as seeing himself in her. I don’t think anyone would argue that it becomes much more than that, as he truly comes to love her.

As someone who has enjoyed riots stories for years its genuinely hard to put to words how cool it is to get to enjoy these stories with a new audience and to see these writers get the recognition they have worked so hard for, for years
I feel like the jinx and ekko fight scene should’ve been higher on the list it was amazing. A cinematic masterpiece.
Riot games definitely pushed the boundaries of Most games today. First establishing A great music label that touches different genres and now They managed to make Arcane as one of the best if not the best animated series of all time. Also the series is non League player friendly which is also great for people who wants to enjoy the series.
This show was so damn good and I never played LoL; I was mad when the season ended on a cliffhanger, I WANTED MORE!! Also I just love Jinx, she's my favorite character.
As a father, the moment when Silco is talking to Vander's statue, and there's the moment of understanding that even at the prospect of having everything they ever wanted, he wouldn't give up Jinx. The moment when your enemies motivations and action become your own, and you realize you are the same.
Man i loved Silco...I rooted for him despite of being a villain. And his last words to JInx, "...Don'r cry, you're perfect!" was just too freaking emotional..i'm not crying, you r crying!!

I actually like that Vi vs sevika fight round 2. She didn't win the first time around but the second time around she bounced back
I think Sevika learned her lesson, and will stay away from fights with Vi in the near future
She won both fights lol Sevika just caught her off guard with the whole telling her that Jinx was like Silco's daughter thing which made Vi drop her guard.
There are many noteworthy moments in this show but for me, every time I see the scene where Powder realizes what she’s done with the monkey bomb I can’t help but tear up. It’s just too much of a punch in the gut… 😭😭😭

Seriously. I didn’t really care for him up until his final scene where he looked at Jinx and with his dying breath told her, “Don’t cry, you’re perfect.” If made me realize how much deeper their relationship was, how he really a saw her as a daughter and not just a pawn.
ekko vs jinx was the best throwback yet tragic scenes I ever scene in any series that I have seen in my entire life
Love how Viktor save Jayce trying to jump off in the early ep when Jayce is so close to find the secret of the ruins, And the Same things happen At almost the end of the ep when Viktor also want to jump off when he was so close to find a cure for him and what happen to Sky
Jinx vs ekko is my favorite "fight" scene because its spectacular and also shows their childohood relation
Denzel Curry makes it even better
This show was pretty full tilt and I loved it. Had hundreds of brilliant moments, even in the quiet introspective moments or just tiny moments like when a character is doing something simple like Vi walking the streets of Zaun. The animation was just distilled artistry and gave it so much life.
First Castlevania, now Arcane. It seems that videogame adaptations are actually something that can achieve greatness now.
Only animated video game adaptions that is, not live action ones.

I love how Arcane did a great job at catering to the already league fans, and to the new fans. You can be old or young (not too young) and can still watch this and be in awe. I have a league friend who watched this with his mother and his mom got emotional from some of the scenes. Arcane really is the best netflix animated series right now.
Never played LoL. Totally love the show. I've seen some episodes 6 times. My favourite arc is the 2nd. But the whole show is simply amazing art. Love it.
This truly was a hidden gem - having no prior knowledge of the show or its back story, I just stumbled upon it. The toryline was so captivating and the animation on point!
No mention of Viktor running for the first time? That scene was so cathartic, my absolute favourite in the show.

I just realized something as well when Jayce was ready to give up and Viktor came in and said "am I interrupting something?" Jayce did that to Viktor in Episode 8. How the tables have turned. Also those are pretty dark moments which they kind of spared them from

As a father of three daughters, watching Vander fight to protect his daughter brought tears to my eyes. And then Silco later acknowledging he finally understood why vander wouldn’t trade his kids for the sake of peace, because he loved jinx too much to trade her for anything.
Powder's bomb was really tragic. She really jinxed that one. The rescue mission was going great, they were literally just one step away to freedom. I can feel Vi frustration when she realized it's Powder's doing, and the shift of Powder's tone from happiness to misery when she realized she unknowingly killed her family was heartbreaking. Phenomenal storytelling.
This show has so many special moments that just give you goosebumps! What a well animated series. Best tv adaptation of a game so far. Btw you missed a very good moment when Viktor starts to run. Epic.

There is a lot of great moments in arcane, you just can't fit them into the 10 best moments. For me, the moment where Jinx was holding the flare while Silco throws his rage blindly at his people while guns for hire is playing is the best.

The entire budding romance between Vi and Caitlyn is just brilliantly written. The subtle teasing and longing looks, the smirk on Vi's face when she realizes that Caitlyn is interested in women, and the touching moment when Vi opens up about her monster stories with Powder.

silco and the loyalty scene shouldve at least been in the honorable mentions.. that scene raised Silco's character to greatness
I was crying so hard as she ulted the council. The scene made sense, and I understood why she did that, and that's why it hurt. I mean, fuck the council. Any who die, it's their fault for waiting so late help Zaun knowing how much the people of "the Undercity" desperately needed it. It's that inaction that created Jinx, so fuck'em!
They were still blind to the horrors they created...they were on their high horse to bothered by their self righteous pursuit of wealth and power...in the end still unwilling to look down at what they created...no sympathy from me...

I played league for over 5 years, then dropped it for no apparent reason. All the time I played it I wanted to see some form of bigger media of the game. Years went by and I kind of forgot about it. Then I accidentally saw this on Netflix and decided to check it out for the nostalgia. Boy was I hooked. The production value of this show is beyond amazing, and I can't wait for season 2. Everything is just perfect. The writing, animation, voice acting and overall execution. I picked up league once again after the first three episodes, and damn I missed it. The show benefitted from the R16 rating massively and it is the only way that it could have been done to do it justice imo. 10/10 without a doubt!

I had the feeling that Silco genuinely cared for her from the beginning, he didn't seem like he wanted to exploit her, I guess he somewhat saw himself reflected in her (knowing that Vander "betrayed" him just like Vi betrayed Power/Jinx)
Pls what? Silco was the reason, jinx had no family left and he did nothing to prevent her from going mad! I cried, when silco died, but to say, that silco was a better father to her than vander...you are kidding, right?
He really wanted what was best for her. Even if he was horribly misguided on how to raise a child, he loved her. Throughout the last two acts, there's enough character development to know that he was telling the truth. He'd abandon Zaun before she'd abandon Jinx.
Vander was best dad, Silco killed powder's dad and then impressed his trauma of being betrayed to powder. Silco can't imagine a "brother" coming back for him so he assumes that Vi wont come back for powder. Consider the last conversation of Vander and Silco in Act 1 when Vander tells Silco he's not the man he used to be and giving up the nation of Zaun (because now he has kids) and Silco's ending of giving up the nation of Zaun because he refuses to give up Jinx. Silco, in the end, turned out the same as Vander just with more steps.
Lemme just make it clear.
Vander was POWDERS dad.
Silco is JINXS dad.

Am I the only one here that actually don't like Jinx? I kinda preferred Powder more. But oh well. Everybody's got their favorites. The only thing I actually love about Jinx is her character design. Props to that.
I am so absolutely impressed by the animation quality in this. They didn't cut any corners, they put every nuance into bringing this to life.

In game Vi is known as the "Enforcer of Piltover". She HATES enforcers. I'm hoping to see how she made this transition in season 2.
I think the show was leading up to that. Season 1 is just their "origin story", in the next seasons they will eventually transition to their video game character arcs.
In game Vi isnt exactly a model enforcer either. In one scene she is torturing someone, but forgets to ask questions. Its like she was torturing for the sake of it
The scenes in Arcane are so good it always leave you with a torn heart and mixed emotions. It's just that good.

For me it was the party Jinx setup for Vi and Silco at the end. Not having ever played the game, when she brought out the serving tray I legit thought it was Caitlin's head in there. I'd say that was the single most terrifying scene in the entire series for me.

I thought you guys were going to do a list for Act 2 and act 3 and then the overall best moments cuz you already did act 1 but I guess not. I'm expecting the ending, Jayce and Vi teaming up and the internal struggle Jinx went through in Episode 9 to be here. Actually you know what make a full Jinx moments list cuz to be honest she deserves a list of moments for her of her own
What an indulgent video about Arcane... but it's just what I wanted, and how can I hate. There's well edited, thoughtful narration of some of the best scenes. And of course the honorable mentions includes 5 more moments. Most of us haven't been this excited about animated storytelling for a long, LONG time. (perhaps since The Last Airbender). Next gen visuals, incredibly expressive animated *performances* in each of the characters' faces, the series will not soon be forgotten. If the future seasons can even close to match the quality of the first, this series will be truly immortalized as a high point, FOREVER.
Something that many fail to appreciate is the fact that like Vander, Silco is given the same option to make a sacrifice towards the end (Jinx) for the sake of Zaun, going full circle. The scene where Silco was sitting by at Vander's statue understanding the emotional turmoil that Vander had went through adds again another layer as to how amazing the storytelling is in this series. Absolutely brilliant.
