I love deadpan comedy (RIP, Mr. Newhart). So, I gravitate toward Ms. Wickline's type of humor. I recognize that it doesn't appeal to everyone, but I think SNL needs more variety in their stylistic choices these days. So, in my opinion, Ms. Wickline is a welcome addition. It seems like many commenters here wouldn't appreciate Jack Handey's classic work either. Just an observation.
Hate to say it, but as a Tik Tokker, she is fine. Hundreds of people are similarly entertaining on Tik Tok. I’m trying to figure out what makes her different than the rest of them, why she is an SNL cast member. I’m just not seeing it. I could literally pull a dozen people out of my community that do what she does. Someone tell me what I’m missing?
The ideas are pretty cool but the delivery is a little difficult to get behind. I think Jane would be great as a writer for SNL. As a cast member, I just hope she finds her footing soon. Kind of like Sarah Sherman. She started off a little shaky but kills it now.
@@sidemixsessionsSarah Sherman started with a fearlessly energetic performance in a two-handed straight to camera sketch alongside Dismukes that trumpeted, "I belong here."

and she's killing it on snl

Caitlin Reilly. Tilly Oddy-Black. Ryan George.
