- Whether it was self-defense is for the jury to decide, as Nicolae Miu is charged with first-degree murder and multiple counts of attempted homicide. The more I heard from the witnesses and those involved in the melee, the less I found them to be 100 percent victims. They took their part in escalating the confrontation, as their testimony makes clear. In fact, it increasingly seems that Miu is the victim. #truecrime

Re-watching the portion the jury wants to watch again today, I noticed that Miu did, in fact, try to walk away but Madison Coen takes a step to the side, essentially blocking him, causing him to stop in his tracks. Then Dante shows up and the Isaac group encroaches on him, essentially surrounding him. That entirely obliterates the argument that he didn't withdraw. And puts even more weight of responsibility on Madison Coen.
Injustice was served in this case and I doubt that Miu had a jury of his peers. He had to defend himself because the the odds were against his survival. Force multipliers are often justified when a disparity of force exists. Disparity of force is defined as a situation that any reasonable person would conclude places you at an overwhelming disadvantage in your effort to protect yourself against immediate and serious bodily injury!!!!!
A grave injustice. If Maddy had not reacted towards Mui as she did, and the other 4 joking in, this entire incident would never have occurred. Everyone knows when you come “to the defense of others”, there is a huge risk the “Good Samaritan” is taking, I.e. choosing wrongly. That is exactly what happened here. Intoxicated adults, five of them, attacked Mui. Mui is innocent. This is a classic case of self-defense. Injustice was served. Justice was perverted.
The teens bullied him, lied to police, coordinated their stories then lied under oath on the stand. Self defense.
I agree with respect to Madison. Drunk, aggressive and belligerent...she is also culpable.
