Sometimes when I get a lot of extra bread I dry it in the oven and crush for bread crumbs or cube it and put garlic and onion spices on it and make croutons. Just an idea.
glad to see you mention donating all the food. BUT! The coffee pods in water! YUCK! I can't imagine the bacteria and germs in that water that seeped into the boxes/coffee 🤢
The pods are plastic and the tops are aluminum so nothing can seep into them unless they are punctured. I found out by dumb luck.. I dropped my pod into my sink full of soapy water.

Folks are having trouble buying food and for their animals and it’s thrown out like this I support everything your doing to save as much as you can. Please donate it to the needy. Talking about pet shelters they're not only in need of dog food and cat food they are also need of blankets and towels so when you find blankets and towels when you're out dumpster diving take them wash them and bring them to your to your nearest shelter
Sadly the dumpsters in my area have either locked up or now destroy like crazy . The homeless roamers moved in over a year ago and kept making huge messes and ruined dumpster diving in my areas .

With the amount of bread and eggs you guys find on a regular basis, you could always bake trays of bread pudding and freeze it or give to a local shelter or two, since that stuff is very perishable.
There was a recall on the Vienna sauages at one point. I feed them to my dogs, and I went almost a month unable to find them at Walmart due to the recall.

We started using wood pellets for cat liter. It soaks it and if you keep it clean there is no smell and the cost is almost nothing😊

Actually Walmart will if you fill out a request form and provide a tax ID. Just not to individuals. Nonprofit organizations only.

hi Kids, ever thought to carry a few rolls of masking tape with you so you can fix the cut in the cat n dog food bags.
Sadly the dumpsters in my area have either locked up or now destroy like crazy . The homeless roamers moved in over a year ago and kept making huge messes and ruined dumpster diving in my areas .
Same in my area, the many homeless either rummage through it or they are locked up to keep them out of them.
