The only secret I have is that I’m not fighting with my hair anymore 🤣 I just let it do what it wants & try to keep it moisturized. Usually I wear it in twists though because they’re so simple.
I just moved back to TJ from Merida after being there for 6 months and hating it. You’re right. I felt stupid moving down but how was I supposed to know it wouldn’t be good for us 😅 none of the videos mentioned it during my search. I think I’ve realized I’m a Baja girl for sure the Yucatan is hot af and I didn’t feel welcome and didn’t like the food vs other parts of Mexico. And my daughters school was $8000 each month 😑 versus up north at $3/4k each month. Merida you have to have a car because it’s not walkable at all and I came during the heat wave as well and was very very not happy
Whewww. I feel that. We scouted Mérida & decided it wouldn’t work for us pretty quickly 😅 BUT.. you don’t know unless you go 🤷🏾♀️ that’s part of why we wanted to do this whole series - to hopefully provide some more insight or a perspective others leave out.
I totally agree with what you said. I lived a year in Playa and it's so hot. I can't handle the heat. There isn't a lot to do indoors or with AC. I got sick of the same people trying to sell me tours every day and being treated like a tourist 24/7. The prices are nuts. I lived a year in Guadalajara and am now in Mexico City. I also was in Merida and a few other places. I am single with no kids, but you are spot on.
Where are you from? And why did you think it was the US? So you guys moved out there “ignorant “ to where you were moving? Pools and Beach with kids? Where did you think you were moving?
Hey you guys so far what’s been your favorite place you lived with the kids I was considering PDC but I agree with all points in video also with every I’ve getting expensive but I see your in Mexico City I recently came back from looking at places I actually felt Mexico City was extremely way more expensive then PDC and I actually loved Mexico City way more what are your thoughts?
Im not even gonna hold you.. all the places we love most are expensive 😂😭 our favorite place on the planet, like literally #1 is Río de Janeiro, Brazil. Madrid, Spain is also really high on the list. We love Mexico City but the air quality/water crisis combination is not ideal 😅 Lisbon is also very family friendly & aside from where the bilingual schools are located, Bogota is great too (some people complain about the weather, but I like it)
@@o.family.adventures thanks so much for responding definitely appreciate it yeah I’m dry head of Las Vegas and currently in Phoenix so idk if any weather can beat that but playa del Carmen I guess can with that super humid weather and not sure if i can handle since I’ll be leaving during there summer haha definitely going to check out these recommendations thanks so much
Hey! I’m not sure about retirees, but there are definitely some older folks there living their best life! We know some semi-retired people who live in PDC. The heat can be extreme & there are coastal places with lower cost of living for a fixed income budget so it may not be a top contender. San Miguel Allende isn’t coastal, but they have a large retiree community. As well as the Lake Chápala area near Guadalajara.
What’s ignorant is lumping all of Mexico into one monolith. We stated that we ran out of activities that we enjoy in PDC. We didn’t complain about PDC or the local community. We are now in Mexico City & have not run out of activities that we enjoy. One city not working for us does not in any way make us ignorant or imply that we were expecting the US (which, unless you’re ignorant, you know is VASTLY different from place to place). Your ignorance & bias is showing.
I agree with so many points in this video. Being that me and my kids spent time in PDC for two months it definitely holds a special place in my heart.
Yes! There's a real magic to PDC & the Riviera Maya in general; there's truly no place like it.
Girl, love your hair. Plz teach us your secrets...especially in the humidity in PDC!

@@o.family.adventures i appreciate it. I really do. Because all the videos are somewhat glorified and not telling everything for fear of backlash.
What’s TJ?

Any negatives of Mexico City so far?
whats your favorite place so far?

Is it a place for retirees? Did you notice retirement communities.

It sounds like you were expecting the US in Mexico….just because you are there, you should not expect the US way of living. That is ignorance

😂😂😂 your not nomads your immigrants ‼️🤨😵💫
We haven’t immigrated anywhere, Olivia.
You said you lived???? Obviously, ignorance…
