Excellent Steve as always the name Steve Parton made my ears prick up he used to have a unit at Long Eaton Nottingham my home town were he built rods and sold tackle fly tying and loads of advice lovely man. Lead core and tube flies were his thing back in the day for the Rutland Brownies.
Great video Steve, good to see the steady stream of content coming from you as other angling channels seem to be dying of death for one reason or another. Popper fishing is one of the best times of the season but can be very hit or miss. I was out on the banks of Rutland last weekend and although I saw fish chasing fry close in I couldn't move any. Switched to a foam daddy and bang your day changes. Shame as I love to see that bow wave chasing.
