Hi Jaclyn! I love your vlogs, I hope you enjoyed your trip! The things in the bathrooms are called "bidets" and they are used in many Mediterranean countries to literally wash yourself after using the bathroom.
Hi Jaclyn happy holidays and I hope you having amazing time in Florence and this was amazing video I enjoy your channel because you are amazing Supporter
1:45 wow hahaha I'm Italian and it's so weird for me this question. We use it to wash our bottoms after pooping haha. Italians miss bidet a lot when they go abroad and they wonder how the rest of the world can survive without it. It's also useful for women during their period
I haven’t been to Italy but I’ve been to other countries like Spain, France & Greece. As long as your going to a big city or a touristy place then the waiters speak English & the menu will have English below each dish
I know from visiting other European countries that if ur visiting big cities or touristy places then everyone speaks English & theres English on the menu. Although I would recommend learning some useful phrases such as please, thank you, hello, goodbye etc as it’s nice to be able to say that in the native language ❤
That Carbonara looked awful, especially compared to any carbonara that you can get in Rome. The Cappellacci on the other hand looked delicious! Said by a Roman
Jaclyn the extra "toilet" is a bidet!

Did you struggle to order food at restaurants when you don’t speak Italian? I’m afraid of that if I ever visit Italy 😅
Most of the waiters actually speak English!

If your going somewhere off the beaten path that more as touristy then English might not be spoken as much
🤣 anche se il piatto che ho visto non mi sembrava una tipica carbonara ma rivista
The thing in your bathroom is a bidet
i never thought of putting peas in carbonara but i guess
Did you have to learn to speak any Italian before you went on your trip?
