Thank you for providing precious information about the roles of charitable organizations on helping the ones in need at the start of HK! Without the perseverance & eagerness of the church, the miseries of women might have continued. Salute to all those contributed much to change the life of babies who were abandoned but eventually saved! It is that very demonstration to shed mercy which helps us to understand God’s messages! Humanitarianism does not come from without. Every footprint of the pioneers lay an inch toward progress of our present selves and our value system!

Thank you for this excellent sharing. The death of large numbers of children may also throw light on the situation of unmarked graves in Canada. Infants and children death were probably high due to the poor environmental and health services available at that time.
Visual impairment of the children may be due to sexually transmitted diseases of the mother.
